NOT ONLY are they keeping and reinforcing the fading thing.... they made it more common.... instead of a vague awful implication with cats like mapleshade and maybe dotc cats... now its every cat ever who isnt remembered.......... and being faded is now kinda the default state??? and oh god did they canonize that entire clans can be faded and basically cease to exist..... AND BROUGHT BACK????? AND they can have collective amnesia, forget basically everything and anything, and they're not even really themselves, and spirits can bring back other spirits??? Jesus christ my stomach hurts from this. why. why did you do this. Why does my kids book have existential horror in it.... why did it get worse they couldve fixed it......

Some Vulture sketches i did yesterday

Sherbert lived on a farm before everything went down. They lived on the outskirts of town, farming Flemish Giants for their fur (dont worry about the meat. dont worry about it). Meanwhile Vulture, an undead 'zombie' (they has full awareness) gathers a group of other undead cats to take over the city, going through Sherbert's family farm.

Anyway Cloud was a completely unrelated blind kitten who lived a long time before Vulture, and died horribly of blood loss due to the amount of ripping on his face :)

Other random notes: Sherbert's name is misspelled because his family didn't have time to double-check the spelling/pronunciation. He gets mad if you call him sorbet or sherbet. Vulture can actually see. Because the reanimation process in this world involves mending tissues and fractures, his blindness is fixed when he is brought back. To reflect this, his pupils have a deeper blue to them. Sherbert's favorite animal on the farm is a blueish-gray Flemish giant he got to name as a kid (he named him pebble).

Both Sherbert and Vulture are orange, and they're reflections of each other.
