Synopsis: Y/N L/N, the name of the current monarch of Corea. They became the ruler after successfully ending the previous king along with the dynasty as well. In their harem, countless men are present to help balance the court’s power. However, is this truly their intentions? The palace was always a place that needs to be proceeded with caution but as time goes by, recklessness would most likely outweigh it. You found yourself unable to prosper the kingdom without being too connected to it.

a/n: This is the first official chapter of the series “ Utopia”. It is connected to the series “ When the Stars Meet their Sun” which is the prequel to this one. It explains the major events that happen to the major characters and will get released along with this serie.

Being a ruler for some, would be a blessing. Others would shudder with just the possibility of said position. After all, isn’t the crown the most desperate for blood?

Unlike wild animals, humanity has long hunted for more than they could ever need. It happens so often that people would say that greed was the worst trait for a ruler, but little do people like to admit, greed was something that was inevitable. Everyone has at least some greed inside of them, either burying or flaunting it as their unique trait.

Y/N L/N, the current ruler of Corea was yet to be an exception. Though, they have enough conscience to at least hide it and be a decent ruler.

Using their right palm to steady their head, they continued to look over the countless ministers standing in front of them as the regular audience continued to take place.

“ Your majesty, we need to send troops to the east to defend our borders immediately.”

The eastern border connected Corea to the ancient nation that owns the eastern sea. As a result, those people were extremely arrogant and deemed themselves superior because of the amazing achievements that their ancestors have done years ago.

“ The eastern bastards are causing trouble again?” Y/N asked, annoyed.

The ministers couldn’t help but flinch hearing profanities come out of the monarch’s mouth. Everyone knows that such words could not be said during a formal meeting but who were they to lecture the monarch?

“ Yes, your majesty. Even after our recent victory, they have yet to turn around and surrender to our nation.”

Y/N’s eyes glanced up from their nails to the nervous individual, irises gleaming in interest.

“ Is that so? What have they been doing?”

“ Reporting to your majesty, the Grimores’ guards have been destroying our farmlands and threatened many of our people there. As a result, agriculture has decreased by a large amount. People living there are suffering under Grimore’s violence.”

Perking their left eyebrow at the somewhat expected eyebrow, Such ignorant people, Y/N thought.

The eastern land was one of the best places in Korea for hurting crops and agriculture. The crops there almost took up half the entire stock of supplies that the palace gets every week.

So that’s why the servants were complaining, they thought.

“ Do you have any suggestions, General Kwong?”

General Kwong, a name that would bring fear to people across all lands. He was part of the four leaders that have guarded the borders for years on end and have made many outstanding achievements because of it.

“ I believe that it is best to send troops over to the border and eliminate them all.”

After hearing those words, the monarch’s eyes turned cold.

“ General Kwong, you truly do have some courage,” tilting their head, Y/N continued to taunt the general, “ Are you not afraid that they would retaliate? Even if we were to bring victory home, our relationship with them would be on thin string. Are you willing to take such responsibility when such things occur.”

Cupping his left hand over his right, General Kwong brought them to his forehead before executing a low bow to show his respect.

“ My bloodline would take all the responsibility if the eastern bastards were to declare war with our nation,” he announced.

Letting out a smirk, eyes gleaming with bloodlust, Y/N glanced at the bowed figure.

“ How are you so certain that they will not declare war with us?”

He affirmed, “ Compared to the Grimores, our nation is prospering at an inhumane pace. Even if we are much younger than them, they would still have to show some face and be more pliant. The guards at the borders are just teenagers who know nothing and just want a taste of power, I am sure that the intrusions have yet to even reach the main city.”

Have not yet reached the main city, does he mean that…

“ By that, do you mean that the imperial family have no idea about the attacks. And that it was caused by children?”

General Kwong shivered at their tone, feeling all too warm in a sudden.

“ I’m afraid it is so.”

Y/N glared at him, “ You mean that you were incapable of protecting the border? To what? Measly children who have even yet fallen into reality? How daring of you, General Kwong!”  

Practically letting gravity push him towards the ground, he frantically tried to come up with an explanation.

“ My apologies, your majesty! This servant does not know that those bastards were going to threaten the border.”

Y/N did not like shortsighted people to serve under them. People who only focus on what may benefit them would not put out the necessary effort to ensure that they were safe from less ideal possibilities. Hence, why Y/N have to deal with the current mess the east is facing now.

It has only been a few hours after the sun has rises but they could already sense that a headache is brewing.  

“ How shortsighted you are, General Kwong,” Y/N seethes out, “ Did those dozens of years out in the battlefield crippled your brain that you were unable to even think of such a possibility?”

“ T-this servant acted rashly. This will not happen next time, your majesty.”  

Sighing, Y/N shook their head, “ Make sure to keep this promise, General Kwong.”

General Kwong nodded his head immediately, mouth rambling promises to help support his genuine apology. He only stood back up after Y/N motioned him to.

“ Send 1000 soldiers to the eastern border. General Kim, you will be leading this mission,” the monarch commanded.

General Kim stepped up from his position, and bowed down, accepting their command.

General Kim, one of Y/N’s most trusted officers. He was once their companion who has travelled together long before Y/N have to ascend the throne. General Kim was already notorious for his sharp knowledge on various weapons along with a keen mind. As a result, he was one of the first people to be granted a position after the new dynasty was formed.

Knowing that he will definitely complete it, Y/N let out a satisfied nod.

“ Make sure that those kids will never escape from their job again. You can do anything to educate them. Children like them need a strict instructor in order to blossom,” the monarch said, satisfied.

And with that, the topic came to an end.

Seeing the previous topic have finally come to an end, another soon appeared.

“ Your majesty, regarding your harem, this s—“

“ Minister Jung, why are you so persistent in expanding my harem? Isn’t three already enough?” Y/N interrupted.

Minister Jung, another old officer from the previous dynasty who has switched sides in order to survive. He was also a man known for his greed yet a thoughtful insight who would choose the absolute best option, even if it meant being a two-faced bastard. Even though his personality wasn’t the best, he has helped Y/N multiple times in the past thus granting him the position of higher rank.

Minister Jung, was also infamous for his suggestion on constantly wanting to admit new concubines every couple of weeks. Regardless of how powerful he seems, however, he does not get to have the final say. Never in his life would he get the chance to do so.

“ Your majesty, just by having three consorts doesn’t give the imperial a natural balance. Your majesty’s harem has been the most limited in the entirety of Corea’s history!”

All the officers nodded in agreement. They all knew that if their son were to enter the harem, and even gain a piece of the majesty’s favour, then their house’s name will become known for as long as the monarch was on the throne and hopefully even after that.

“ And where are you going with this, Minister Jung?”

“ Your majesty, I suggest a competition to help select a few more concubines.”

Ah… the same old idea, how utterly boring.

“ Continue.”

“ A concubine selection would occur at a good time where the imperial family will be recruiting whoever you see fit.”

Looking contemplated, Y/N then looked over to their bodyguard to see his uncomfortable face. Obviously wanting to tease him, they decided to follow whatever plan the minister was setting out.

“ The selection will definately be happening,” Minister Jung lightened up at their words, but that quickly changed when he heard what came after.

“ But when it's happening will be undetermined.”

“ Y-y-your m-majesty, please reconsider. Your age is not that small anymore, if we were to pass your young adult years, it will be much harder to recruit concubines later on,” Minister Jung then motioned to the rest of his section to follow his lead.

Soon after, over one third of the ministers all yelled out while bowing down to the monarch, “ Your majesty, please reconsider! Your majesty, please reconsider! Your majesty, please consider.”

Seeing how much of a fraction Minister Jung managed to gather for himself, Y/N began to think that all the effort they had put in was all in vain. After all, they didn’t need disloyal bastards? Who knows what they could be planning behind their back?

“ Tch, who do you think you all are?”

Everyone in the room shivered at the monarch’s tone, knowing that if they did not upset them with bringing up this topic, they clearly have now.

“ You think that you could control me with your little words? How daring of you!”

“ Y-your majesty, we don’t mean it that way. W-we all j-just want the b-best for you,” Minister Jung stuttered out.  

“ The best for me? You think that you’re in the spot to do so?”

“ Y-your majesty, p-p-please dwell your anger, it will affect your h-health.”

“ My health? Are you taking me as a joke? Thinking that you can control me because I have yet to fully mature?” Y/N seethed out.

Though, the current monarch was yet to be the youngest but they have still not reach a mature age to properly decipher from right or wrong.

Well, at least that was what they all thought.

Standing up from their throne, they made their ways down the stairs while looking into every single pair of eyes that were previously begging them to reconsider.

“ I believe that you have forgotten that I single-handedly killed the previous king hence ending the Min dynasty. I was also kind enough to save your disloyal asses to enter my court and serve me, knowing the possibility that you all will change sides when another one appears.”

With their words, all the ministers bowed down in shame, knowing that it was true.

“ I was also the one to help you build your fame. You all were lower rank nobles and didn’t have that much influence. I was the one who guided and helped you to become what you are now! And what did you do to repay my kindness? By forcefully controlling me for your own gains?”

Y/N walked to where Minister Jung was, “ It looks to me that I didn’t train you all enough… No, if you even dare to even repeat this same mistake, don’t even think of entering this room ever again!” Y/N announced, “ We’re done for today. Jungkook, let’s go.”

Jungkook then snapped back to reality from Y/N’s mentioning his name. Immediately after, he quickly rushed towards their walking figure and both left the room.

Not being able to conceal his curious gaze, Jungkook kept glancing at the powerful figure in front of him.

Obviously sensing his curiosity, you could help but rub the area between your eyebrows to help soothe your headache.

Sighing, you told him, “ Asked whatever you want, Jungkook.”

Flushing at how obvious he seemed, Jungkook shyly fidget the violet tassel of his sword, not knowing how to start the conversation.

“ If you don’t mind me asking, how were you able to… to do that?”

“ Do what, Jungkook?”

Jungkook pouted, knowing that you obviously knew what he meant.

“ How you managed to win.”

“Win? I didn’t think it was that much of a victory…In your perspective, how did I do it?” You questioned back.

As he continued to walk behind you, Jungkook tried to recall what he earned in the previous lessons he did with you. Unfortunately, all he got was a few unnecessary words and a black mind.

As a result, he could only go for the most obvious option.

“ Hmm… you managed to control the situation by poking at their weakness?”

“ That... is part of it but it occupies quite a small part in how I managed to do it.”

Jungkook nodded, obviously intrigued at your previous actions.

“ At the beginning, I acted quite intrigued at the suggestion to lead him to where he could possibly make a mistake. You must know, Jungkook, that anyone will make a mistake when their adrenaline reaches a certain point. You must take hold of such opportunities and use it to your advantage,”  you explained.

“ What did you do next?”

“ You must observe the situation and predict what will happen.”

Not understanding your words, the boy stopped in his tracks, seemingly lost in his own thoughts.

“ How does that work?”

You stopped in your tracks and turned around, staring into his doe eyes, you let out a smile.

“ That is a lesson for another time but for now, you need to do something for me.”

Letting out a small pout, Jungkook looked at you curiously, “ What do I need to work on.”

“ Your emotions.”

“ My emotions?”

“ Yes, you wear your emotions on your sleeves, practically letting everyone the chance to manipulate you.”

“ Please elaborate.”

“ Alright, hmm… you know how predators always sneak up on their prey and wait for the right moment to finish them?”

Jungkook nodded, “ Unlike you, these predators are always calm and act strategically, making sure that they leave no tracks behind while approaching the prey. They hide into the background and stay silent until the perfect time where they launch towards the prey and end them.”

With this explanation, Jungkook becomes more confused.

“ So I need to be the predator?”

You nodded, somewhat happy that he understood the overall concept.

“ Yes, you need to be aware of what you are letting others know about you. You have to be able to use what you have to your advantage,” you said, “ Do you understand?”

“...”

Not hearing his response, you chuckled, “ You don’t need to understand it now. We will continue to work on it. If you want, go to Taehyung whenever you are free and ask for his assistance.”

You then lift your right hand from their position from your side before setting them on top of his head. Ruffling his ivory black hair before turning away.

Jungkook, on the other hand froze at the feeling of your hand on top of his head.

“... Y-yes, your majesty.”

“ Good, let’s go.”

And with that, you continued your way to your office, content with the current outcome.

Walking into your office, you couldn’t help but let out a tired sigh. Today was truly one of those days that exhausted most of your energy. Unfortunately, being the person who makes the final say in all the decisions of the nation does not leave you that much time to relax and have your way.

Taking off the outer jacket of your hanbok, you stretched out your back before making your way to the expansive desk in the corner of the spacious room.

Contrary to popular belief, your office was rather simple. With just your desk and a little table for guests as the centrepieces. There were multiple shelves displayed on the other walls. You liked to keep the space simple as the place mostly gets covered in the amount of work you finished over the spans of days.

You made yourself as comfortable as you can in the seat, and began with the papers that were underneath the paperweight. Picking up the brush nearby, dipping it into the already grinded ink, you then began to work on the necessary papers that were starting to pile up.

To say the least, your office was a busy destination. There were constantly people entering your office day and night but you made sure that those people were yours; to ensure that no unneeded individual could get any information that was likely going to threaten your position.

Minutes then morphed into hours leading you into the familiar embrace of the night.

Deciding that it was time to take a break, you stood up from your seat and began to organize the paper into piles that were going to be returned to the different departments the day after.

After that, you began to stretch out your sore limbs to try and relax your tense muscles. Groaning at how your muscles seem to refuse to move, you tried to warm it up by doing a few exercises.

As you were warming up, you noticed that the lavender oil that you have used earlier was still permitting a comforting fragrance within your study. Impressed by the quality, you found yourself spending some time inhaling the scent while stretching out your muscles.

When you were finally able to move properly, you walked towards the desk and pour yourself a cup of tea.

As you continued to work, Jungkook constantly entered the room to refill the pot of tea despite you insisting that you don’t need it. Though, you were thankful for his thoughtfulness as you got to enjoy a cup of hot tea that was tingling your numb senses.

Blinking a few times to help clear your vision, you looked over to the shadow that was behind your closed doors. Knowing who it is, you began to walk your way towards the door after setting your cup down, feeling the need to go for some fresh air.

However, before you managed to even take five steps, a figure suddenly approached Jungkook.

His shadow was quite tall and was quite similar to Jungkooks. The pair seemed to be arguing about something that you didn’t quite manage to catch on. Confused at whatever they were talking about, you started to contemplate whether or not you should intervene.

That worry soon came to an end when the door was pushed open.

“ Y/N?”

Letting the bitter taste of the tea coat your tongue, waiting for the effect to sooth your tired self and come back to life. Your tired eyes that were previously blurring your vision from how strained it was, slowly loosen up before clearing up.

Oh, how you missed this person.

BTS’s Reaction to Y/N Returning Victoriously

A/n: Please do keep in mind that these boys have a very traumatizing past so they won’t act like the average person. Also, this is also an era where power rules all, so you can tell that without power, a person will literally be of no use so please understand that it differs from ours.

Kim Taehyung

With his identity, it is not a surprise to many people that he is in fact involved in the planning. Though, due to his rather weak physique, he obviously would have no chance of surviving the battlefield so he had to stay within the capital, and wait for your return. Taehyung knew that the chance of you winning is much more likely but with how long you were gone, he was slowly losing hope. Days without you seems to be eternity for him, with every passing moment bringing pain, while the next too far out of his reach. As days turned into weeks which morphs into months, Taehyung is slowly reminded of his past traumas. The longer he is without you, the more insecure he became that it made an opening for his nightmares to begin chasing him.

The moment he saw you, Taehyung basically forgot everything in the past few months and focus solely on you. Seeing you alive and healthy, he was beyond glad that you have kept your promise. Though, he would be quite calm during the celebration of your return, but the moment you guys are alone, Taehyung would cling to you, telling you how much he had missed your presence. As the Royal Consort, he gets to spend the first night back with you. As a result, that night was the first night in months where he was able to sleep soundly, a gentle smile adorned his face in the process.

“ You... are back? Is this a dream? ... No, you’re really back!”

Kim Namjoon

As the head of the medicinal department, Namjoon wasn’t allowed to leave his office to attend to all the injurded soldiers on the battlefield. If he were to do so, there would not be a capable person to handle all the affairs of the department which would be extremely burdensome once he gets back. As a result, Namjoon makes sure that all the physicians, who will be accompanying you are very experienced and skilled. Of course, he was very proud of all the physicians in his department but he wants the best to serve you while being away in a foreign area.

During this time, Namjoon’s way to cope with the feeling of longing for you is to busy himself with work to get his mind off you. So during your time away, he had accomplished many major plans which resulted in you awarding many valuable herbs when you had returned. It was clear as day that Namjoon was extremely proud of his effort, and seeing you also feeling honour of having him by your side, nothing boost his self-esteem than that. He, also surprised you by using all those previous herbs to help concoct essences and medicine for you to utilise. To say the least, Namjoon would show his affections through the hours you both spent together nurturing you back to perfect health.

“ How have you been these months? I assume it was quite exhausting considering how tense your muscles are.”

Jung Hoseok

When you’re busy in the foreign lands, Hoseok would be much more involved in the harem’s matter because of many reason. The main being him wanting to help you out as best as he possibly could. He knew that with you being away for months, piles of work will start to accumulate and would overwhelm you the moment you are back, so he does try to ease some of those burdens. Hoseok, at this time will be less energetic, seemingly loosing his energy as time continues to go by. Assuming that you guys already has a deep bond at this time, he would feel like something is weighing down at his heart the longer you are away. This continue to worsen once his father got permission to visit him.

Despite this, he tries his best to continue to smile on but anyone could tell that it was far from genuine. However, the moment that he heard that you are indeed returning and after getting reassurance too many times, he began to feel his heart lighten, seemingly relaxing along with the news. He would be very proud of you for winning the war, but will freak out the moment he detect a single wound on you. Though, during the entire process, a smile is always adorned on his face while his body relaxes within your presence. Hoseok would also make sure to praise you plenty of times whenever you are with him.

“ Don’t worry, your majesty. Your... workload is not that much. I bet that you can even finish it in a week. Why?... I-I tried my best to help you, I hope you don’t mind.”

Min Yoongi

Aside from you getting to see his vulnerable side, Yoongi still remains as an emotionless person for everyone else. On the outside, he doesn’t seem to be affected by you being away but if anyone were to observe a little closer, they would start to notice how his motions are much sloppier than normal. This was the result of the countless nights that he spent awake, crying to himself. Yoongi felt that he was worthless and couldn’t help you in any ways. Because of his status, he was restricted from getting to attend anything that could threaten the new dynasty’s position. As a result, Yoongi has no power to be of any help to you. Though, he does managed to utilise his previous lessons and try to improve himself.

As a result, you were quite surprise to see how different Yoongi was when you got back. On the other hand, Yoongi almost couldn’t take hold of his feelings and tackled you on the spot if it wasn’t for the countless people present on the scene. You bet the moment you guys are alone, he would hug you tightly and cry within your arms, wanting nothing but your comfort. These past months had been extremely hard for the boy, especially without your protection but he managed to survive it all and is now bathing in your presence. He then began to list all the things that he had done and promises to be more helpful to you.

“ Your majesty? How are you here? Aren’t you at... No, that’s not important now. You are finally back! I have been working very hard to be of help for you. Let me show you what I’ve accomplished.”

Jeon Jungkook

As your bodyguard, it would be extremely unlikely that he would ever leave your side in this kind of situation. However, if there was a chance that he would have to part from you, possibly likely forced to, it would have to be from an injury that prevents him to do his job that would take an expansive time to heal. Jungkook takes his position very seriously and would be quite lost once he returned to the capital to take a break. He feel like he just failed his job as a bodyguard and couldn’t protect you properly.

If this happens, the best way to deal with it is to let him be alone, before approaching him. Once he starts to open up again, carefully approach him with the topic to not overwhelm him. After getting him back, you would noticed how much his swordsmanship have improved. This was the result of the countless of hours that he spent working on them so he can do his job better when you get back. Hearing about your victory, Jungkoook would become quite proud of getting to be the bodyguard of such an amazing person. However, do try your absolute best to not be injured; it would put quite a bit of pressure on him for not completing his role.

“ Your majesty, are you wounded. Are you sure?... I sincerely apologize for not being there to protect you! If I was there I could have prevented these wounds from appearing on your body.”

Kim Seokjin

Since our merchant is from a different country, he would spend the majority of those months there. Seokjin’s main reason to come to Corea is to be with you so with you being away, he has no reason to be cope with the life within the palace walls. He will spend his days in his old home, reviving all the long forgotten memories of you and him. As he is in the headquarter of his company, work is expected to consume most of his time. However, this does not stop him from thinking about you. In fact, it makes him long for those times even more. Once he heard that you are returning, Seokjin will work countless hours to finish all his work and assign people to represent the company in his stead and rush back to Corea. How he is still allowed to be there? Thanks to you of course; you’ve long bonded with each other that you pay no mind with him staying there.

Now, if Seokjin sees even the smallest wound on you, he will spend hours lecturing you in private setttings, and a couple more for the rest of the physicians. To say the least, he will be quite upset about seemingly everything you say — both privately and publicly, and he will proudly show his distaste. However, Seokjin is proud of your achievements even if he is too prideful too admit so. Though, he will lightly congratulate you on behalf of his country.

“ You BRAT! Is that a scratch that I see. Maids, go and get the medicine from the west! You worthless physicians, why couldn’t you even prevent these measly wounds from scarring!”

Park Jimin

Jimin, would probably the most affected besides Taehyung and Yoongi just because he is grown so used to your presence. Suddenly getting forced to separate from you, he would naturally seem quite loss. It is a reasonable actions for someone who has been traumatized during their childhood. Unlike Taehyung, who will continue with his duties, Jimin will lock himself within his yard, seemingly gone missing during those months. His attitude would also be quite off whenever the consorts would go and visit him. As a person from somewhere else, he does not have any relative that could help him pass the time. As a result, he would feel nothing else than suffocation during those months.

With you coming back, it was like seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Jimin would desperately cling onto that very speck of light until he finally realizes that you are indeed truly coming back. Slowly Jimin would pick up his shattered self and force them into a perfect mask again. It is up to you to continue to help him heal and understand why he is so vulnerable.

“ Don’t come here! I said I’m fine... NO! Your majesty? Is it really you?”

When Taehyung got picked to be the Royal Consort, he thought that he would finally be able to spend the most time with you like before you guys have met Namjoon. Oh how he was so wrong. At least with Namjoon, he would have a reason to stay with you for a few hours for the monthly checkup but for him, he had to wait for you to take the initiative! As the consort, his contact to the outside world can only be reserve for private moments, and he can’t just randomly visit you whenever he wants to nor go on a date whenever he wants to. To make it worse, the others have been teasing him about getting neglected by you. Taehyung knows this might not be true but seeing how many people had come to hate him because of his status, he’s secretly afraid that you would come to hate him.

This especially worsens when more people entered your private circle. With Seokjin and Jimin being overly flirtatious with you, Taehyung almost had no chance to even have a night with you to himself. But being with you for so long, he of course knew you the best and know how much affections you have towards him. Using that information, he would purposely cling to you whenever he had the chance like a puppy marking its territory. With his witty mind, he knew just when to pull away before crossing the line. Sometimes, Taehyung would jokingly sulk within your arms about how you don’t spend enough time with him, but it will all be well as long as you promise him the opposite and smother him in affection.

Kim Namjoon

As the head of the physcian department, there are several meetings every season that he must be present as a representative of the royal physicians. Namjoon have been extremely lucky to not have his usual time with you be corrupted with these meetings, but that soon came to an end as the upcoming meeting was rescheduled to days before the initial date. Unfortunately, that day was the day where he had your monthly checkup. Even though Namjoon could easily just rearrange the time, he finds that the change would be too bothersome and would mess up his neat schedule. As a result, the day of the your monthly checkup, Namjoon will be attending the meeting while the vice-head will be doing his work. The meeting unsurprisingly smooth and he found himself back in the castle just in time. What did not go as plan was when he heard you suggesting permanently changing the person in charge of your health to someone else.

As calm as he can be at times, Namjoon was bewildered by the nonchalant comment. Expectedly, his next action was to ask you why and try to untie the knots, despite already fearing the worse. Personally, Namjoon found comfort in the time you guys spend time with each other, an he has a feeling that you resonate to that as well. When you explained that with how busy he is with his other work, maybe being your personal physician won’t be that efficient in the long run. Not wanting to lose your guys’ time to another, Namjoon immediately refused your claims, stating that he was more than happy to put the extra effort for you. With what he said in mind, Y/N nodded, accepting his claims.

“ I’m afraid I would have to correct you on this. I do not find it frustrating nor annoying or any of sort when being made responsible for your health. In fact, I find it very much rewarding getting to spend more time with you.”

Jung Hoseok

As a minister’s son, it was shocking news to you with how familiar Hoseok seems in the streets. The boy was literally bouncing from one end to the other, seemingly knowing everyone in one of your guys’ dates. Truthfully, you’ve never seen someone so happy just being outside, especially someone that was born from the riches. You just assumed that nobles would frown in distasteful or worse whenever they are forced onto the dirty grounds of the streets, accustomed to having carpets payed everywhere they go. But how the miniature had proved you wrong. Amidst the moment, Hoseok could be mistaken as just a normal civilian if it wasn’t for his stunning face. Any lady that past by would have to stop and stare at his bright smile.

Hoseok, knowing that he won’t get lecture when out in the streets, decided to be his self for once and began socializing with them. You on the other hand, just stood by him casually, watching him enjoying himself, deciding to take him out whenever you have to go outside as well. everything was going smoothly until a person came up to the group, casually creating a conversation between him and you. Deciding to be polite, Hoseok greeted him but was ignored by the guy. Seeing how impolite he is, Hoseok tried to be as polite as possible but his patience was slowly running thin when he started to flirt with you. The last straw was when he jokingly said bringing you home to do the deed; Hoseok stood up, knocking his chair over with a loud ‘thud’, silently muttered greetings to the ones who were present, before pulling you towards the entrance. On the way, Hoseok couldn’t help but hold your hand tight while his eyes continue to agitated, predicting any other offender before they can even do anything. Seeing how serious he was, Y/N tried to comfort him, hugging him to prevent confusing any other people walking pass by. Looks like your little sunshine is not as bright when he is in a bad mood.

“ He was literally flirting with you the whole time! We will never go outside again... No, we will go outside but... Why didn’t you use your sword when he was being touchy with you?”

Min Yoongi

Yoongi is envied by many because of how much time he gets to spend time with you but the man himself just thinks that he is repaying you by taking away part of your worries. Regardless of the reason, he had got quite used to being alone with you most of the time whenever you’re in office. There will be times where people will come into your study but the time you guys’ spend alone with each other easily outweigh that. Besides, those poeple knew better than to flirt with you in front of your consort who is the highest rank in the harem. Even if he’s a fallen prince and has no power, Yoongi could still easily handle the minor officers on his own. Yoongi may be more vulnerable and desperate around you but he is still a prince that was train to become the future king. He, however, will only resort to that method when absolutely necessary, afraid of tainting your image of him, despite you knowing how skillful he is in this domain. Most of the times, he is very thankful that he is the resilient but sometimes, he must say that he somewhat regrets of deciding not to end those people in these situations.

Anyways, Yoongi, your little consort as well as little kitten, was behaving more like a feline as Jimin continues to flirt with you. The handsome brunette was onc again capturing your attention with his flirtatious remarks. Normally, Jimin would have a specific time slot that he would save to go visit you which was during the night. Today, however, Jimin decided to come and visit you during the evening, intervening with Yoongi’s perfectly peaceful time with you. It only got worse with Jimin obvious teasing smirks whenever he looks Yoongi’s way, as if silently challenging him to a fight. Now, similar to a panther, Yoongi stepped towards Jimin, and pick the said boy up and ‘kicked’ him out of the room, claiming that Y/N still have many things to do. Turning around, Yoongi could only smirk but immediately blushed when he met your amused gaze. Opening your arms, you offered him a hug, Yoongi could only obey and continued to flush when in your arms.

“ His actions prevented you from finishing your work so I-I wanted to...”

Jeon Jungkook

Despite hearing some pretty outrageous remarks in his life, his time with you is by for the strangest. With you seeming so experienced in your role, Jungkook had to somehow match your pace in his as well. As a result, Jungkook find himself especially hard working whenever he is alone with you. Not saying that he isn’t hard working at other times, Jungkook just puts out more effort when he is alone with you. Others who only see you in public, assumes that Jungkook sucks at his job and tried to degrade him from his position, knowing how much benefits would approach them when becoming your personal guard. Jungkook, of course, knew about their intentions but ultimately decided to ignore them as he deemed it not worth his attention.

The thought remained in one of the small crevices in his head, seemingly forgotten until one of the minister mentioned of a possible candidate for the second personal guard at your side. Like a sharp knife penetrated his heart, Jungkook felt dissapointed when you did not do anything but a “needing more time to think about it” comment. On your way back to your office, you asked Jungkook a question that suprised him. But of course, he honestly answered your question and before he knew it, he witness your direct rejection of the minister’s offer.

“ Truthfully, I do not think it is necessary to have another by your side. He would just only hinder you. I doubt that he would even be able to protect you when anything unexpected comes up. I-I also have a feeling that the minister is planning something, and I don’t trust him.”

Kim Seokjin

Seokjin knows that the moment he decides to chase you, there will definately be many candidates that would block the way. Despite this, he found himself enjoying most of their company yet a part of him still remain conscious of what’s happening behind the curtains with each of them. He knew that there might be a chance of you having an intimate relationship with one or even more of them with you being a ruler an all. But Seokjin could not accept how his heart would tighten every time an affection is aimed towards you. If it was in the past, he would have proudly intervene and claimed his status as your fiancé but now that you guys ar adults, doing that will cause more harm than good.

As a result, whenever Jin sees you be intimate with just anyone, the merchant made sure to lecture you on your guys’ next meeting. Complaining how you’re too open and that anyone could presume the wrong idea about your intentions. He would then show you all the ‘safer’ positions, purposely doing it in front of the servants for the to go gossip about your intimate relationship. Seokjin made sure to make some of them extra touchy to rile up the entire harem.

Park Jimin

Jimin, your lusty and flirty consort is bound to get jealous when he sees his person get smothered from someone else. Contrary to what people would envision his jealousy would be, it would depends on how ‘severe’ it is — as Jimin likes to say. With how he is trained, his vulnerable self-esteem would be blown away if he witness some things that caught him off his guard. Especially, with Taehyung, who he can somewhat resonate with, it will be a journey for him to not withdraw and go talk to you.

Anyways, it was one of those nights where you and Taehyung were cuddling in bed when Jimin came in, excited for your guys’ night together. However, his smile turned upside down when he saw the pile you both had accumulated on the bed. Knowing that it was his time to exit, Taehyung left the room and the two of you were left in an awkward tension. Jimin, who was crossing his arm, eyes not daring to meet with yours, lips jutted out forming a pout, remaining in his original spot. Y/N, despite how tired they are, dragged Jimin to their bed and let him sulk for however long. Let’s say that it was less than what he would admit, before he snuggled into Y/N’s warmth and went to sleep also.
