Fact: Sloan and Terry created Don't Hug Me I'm Scared on YouTube. It consists of 6 episodes and each had 3-8 minutes.

A long-form TV pilot was produced in 2018 with Super Deluxe, Conaco and Blink Industries. It was premiered in 2019 Sundance Film Festival, appearing in the "Indie Episodic Program 1" alongside other short films.

In 2022, Sloan and Terry are later creating a Channel 4 television series based on the same name alongside Joseph Pelling. The first season consists of six episodes and each of them had 23-24 minutes. It was aired on 23rd September 2022 to present.

Fact: In the episode "Family", Lily and Todney are appearing at the pink house as Yellow Guy, Red Guy and Duck are sitting on their chairs looking at them creepily. The twins showed the trio how the family mean to them and their own. There are the twins' villainous acts:

Lily kills the Apple Teacher by eating him into half.

Todney peed on the trio's floor although this could be an accident.

Stole a sandwich from their fridge and threw it half-eaten on the floor next to the Apple.

Manipulated the three into thinking they weren't a family.

Lured the trio into their house.

Stopped the group from being close.

Separating Duck from his friends.

Allowed the Family Tree to take Red Guy's blood until he passed out.

Kidnapped Yellow Guy and forced him to be their "mum" just to qualify to order a family-sized bucket of chicken.

Unlike Yellow Guy and Duck who are sock puppets, Lily and Todney are string puppets. They are based on characters from 1980s-90s British stop-motion children's shows. Both are voiced by a male imitating children, which is a reference to how these series tended to have one voice actor for every character such as Postman Pat (in the first season), Fireman Sam, and The Wombles. They were resembled in appearance-wise Sarah and James from Fireman Sam as they appeared in the first four seasons.

Fact: In the episode "Transport", Choo Choo very sloppily tries to explain the different kinds of transport to the trio, while singing the Transport Song. He passes out from exhaustion during his lesson, though he comes back in the later part of the episode, but dies soon after. He seems to have the ability to morph into any form of transport. However, he is only seen as a train, a toy train, and a car in the puppet world.

There are Choo Choo's "villainous" acts:

Hit Red Guy with a wooden cane for mishearing him.

Made a mess on the trio’s floor.

Coughed up his liquid medicine onto a ticket, gave it to Duck and then got mad at him.

Choo Choo is a very elderly and confused character. He is barely able to hear anything other characters say and confuses what they say very often. He also poorly explains what each form of transport is.

He passes out from exhaustion during his lesson. Somehow, he wakes up as Red Guy is driving him, but he is killed as he chokes on the raisins Red Guy force fed him. His death is confirmed once Red Guy, Yellow Guy, and Duck reach the junkyard and use parts of his body as burning material, although the events of the episode seem to be reset by Lesley.
