Okay so this is ヒカレ (hikare) which means “Shine”. I am 99% positive this was meant to be the final ending theme to HXH 2011.

Why?

It was the single released from Yuzu (the band who did the last three ending themes for HXH 2011) right after Hiyori Ittai.

The lyrics are definitely from Killua’s POV, and even almost directly quote him from the manga at points.

I found a translation here already, but I’m putting my own spin under the cut. (Sorry, that’s what was taking so long!)

"My favorite rivalry" of Inazuma Eleven? :)

Aside of Kidou & Fudou, I really like the relationship/rivality between Tsurugi and Hakuryuu. Hakuryuu feeling betrayed cause Tsurugi “decided” to help the resistence (when actually he never agreed with the five sector)?? their healthy rivality in Galaxy??? They both being eternal rivals but also friends and teammates??? It’s my favourite kind of rivality.

I'm going to mention something because I see it a lot.

Telling any creator they should've done x instead of y or added something else in on any of their work is not helpful unless you are explicitly asked by said creator. We do not have galaxy brain all of the time. Telling creators to add an accessory/character, write something more or do something differently for the sake of what YOU think is better is *exhausting* and not the helpful comment you think it is if you do this.

People who think that they can do it better, I encourage you to try.

How do you deal with people reacting negatively to your work--- not just in a matter of opinion, but in the sort of ways that lead people to try and ban your work in schools and such, and the ensuing online mob that accompanies thought processes like that? I have an author friend named Jonathan Evison who is currently under a firestorm and is recieving tons of hate and harassment because his book, which deals with a gay coming of age story, had been protested and banned in school districts across the US. People commenting on pictures of his kids calling him a pedophile, telling him he will burn in hell. How do you emotionally deal with this level of misguided vitrol from total strangers?

When things like that happen I go away from social media and let it burn itself out, and make art if I can in the meantime. But I don't try and make things for everyone either, and console myself that if some people love my work and some people hate it I'm probably doing it right.
