After a few minutes of Elaine crying Rai would begin to shift around, Elaine froze and just stared. She began to yell again, trying to tell her it was just a dream, that she needed to wake up. When Rai stopped moving Elaine just yelled louder, she needed her to wake up, no matter the consequences. She would shake her, yell in her face, and sob on her chest. But nothing was waking her up. The boys felt a little bad if they were being honest, but Elaine wouldnât let them anywhere near her. So helping was out of the question until Elaine realized she needed help, which wouldnât be anytime soon. So they came up with a plan, they didnât particularly like it but it needed to be done. Roy and Ross would sneak up on her and hold her back, she flailed around trying to get out of their hold and back to Rai. Robert would go over and try to help Rai, he was her brother, he should know how to wake her up right? He just sat there for a minute, unsure of what to do. Eventually he realized what it was about, he took a deep breath and tried to talk her out of it. He tried telling her it wasnât real, but she just wasnât waking up. He didnât know it had scarred her that badly. She wasnât waking up, he didnât like that, none of them did. At some point Roy and Ross lost their hold on Elaine.
Elaine barreled past Robert and held onto Rai tight, yelling at them for trying to hold her back. She wasnât trying to be obsessive, she just wanted to help. The four began to argue, completely forgetting about Rai and her situation entirely. They only remembered when they heard coughing, then they slowly turned to look at her as she sat up. âWhat happened..?â She saw them all staring at her. âWhat? Why are you all staring?â There was a beat of silence before they dogpiled her in a hug. She began to yell and try to shove them all off, she didnât mean it in a bad way though. Luckily they knew that well enough, they refused to let go. When they did get off so she could breathe they saw all of their surroundings were normal again. Trees werenât surrounding them, streetlights were on, and they werenât surrounded by absolute horrors from their past. They decided to leave the park and never come back unless there were others around. Surely that monster couldnât trap everyone right? Too many people in the town argue with each other, itâd be impossible.
As they were walking back they made jokes and just talked about what they had seen, Roy was the only one who didnât joke about it. They all respected his decision, so they wouldnât make any jokes either. Rai made a lot of jokes, acting like the whole thing was just a show. They were definitely a little concerned, but they knew thatâs just how she dealt with her trauma, so they laughed along for her sake. They werenât sure where to go after that so they all just went home, to their own homes this time. They all broke up during their walk, only Rai and Robert ended up walking together. It was quiet for a while, both of them just eating their candy until Robert spoke up. âHey, why were you and Roy up so early? I mean, I know you get up early, but he never does. He mentioned something about you guys talking but he wouldnât say anything else.â Rai almost choked on the piece of candy she was eating. âOh- well- if he wouldnât say anything about it maybe he..didnât you know..want anyone to know anything. And I respect other people's privacy!â She was incredibly nervous, making Robert suspicious.
He practically stared her down the rest of the walk home, hoping to break her and get some answers. It didnât work, she completely ignored him. When they got home she ran off to her room, leaving their older brother confused. He just pointed in the direction she ran in, Robert sighed in frustration, sitting his candy down next to him. âI donât know what it is! Sheâs hiding something..but I donât know what!â Radford just nodded in agreement, shoving some of Roberts candy in his mouth. âSheâs always hiding something..â His words muffled by the candy. When his younger brother realized he was eating the candy he punched his shoulder and took it to his room. What if he called Roy and asked? Roy lied, but he didnât lie to his friends. He wouldn't.

Storm in a field of flowers. Pt. 2 previous part---next part
âWHAT?! Why do I have to walk up the hill?â Rai complained. âIt was your idea and my legs hurt. If he has candy, yell down and I'll meet you. If not, you can roll down the hill or something.â Elaine stated sarcastically. âAre you saying that because I'm fat?!â Rai jokingly accused. âYup!â Elaine answered. Holding back laughter. Rai rolled her eyes and began to walk up the hill. She had put her earbuds in. It was only a three minute walk, but she liked the music. When she got up to the church she took them out. She hesitantly knocked on the door. Fixing the sleeves to her costume as she waited. Humming a song. The door swung open. A man was holding a pot of boiling water. He looked like he was about to throw it at her, but stopped. She was noticeably younger than other trick or treaters. âWhat are you doing here? You should be at a house party.â He assumed. âSo sorry to bother, my friend was curious and wanted to know if you were giving out candy?â Her nervousness made him put down the pot slowly. âI'm not. I refuse to participate in the devil's holiday.â He turned his head. âOh, my apologies then. I'll leave you be-â she stopped, jumping when she heard Elaine yelling at her from the bottom of the hill. He looked annoyed. âYour friend I assume?â âYes, sorry about her.â Rai answered. She sounded extremely awkward. He almost felt pity.
She then turned around and began to say goodbye, but he stopped her. âWait, I have a question. Why are you out? Normally kids your age are drinking and smoking at a house party.â She slowly turned back around. âOh no no..i can't. Me and my friend would rather goof off and dress up. I don't care about the candy that much. I just like hanging out with her.â the man nodded and held out a hand. âI'm new in town. I'm the priest of the church. My name is Father Gregor.â She very hesitantly shook his hand. âI'm Raelynn. Normally people call me Rai.â She introduced me. âMy friend down there is Elaine. Sometimes I call her Ei.â âEi? Like the letter? That's..odd.â he asked himself. âI just wanted a nickname for her. I don't call her that often though..â she giggled at the thought. âWill I be seeing you at church ever?â He asked. Almost hoping to see her. âProbably not. I mean, my family believes I think? I'm not sure..it's a little confusing.â She sounded embarrassed. âI see. Well it isn't for everyone. I'm not disappointed in you or anything if that's what you're thinking.â He could see the nervousness on her face. She now had a wide smile. Then she said her goodbyes and left. Yelling at her friend down the hill. He watched her as she walked. Almost watching her to make sure she was safe.
When Rai made it back down the hill Elaine stared with her arms crossed. âWhat took so long?â Rai still had her smile, âOh! The guy that was up there-â âDid he have candy?â Elaine interrupted. Rai gave her a look and just stared quietly for a moment. âNo..he didn't. He's a priest I guess. Doesn't celebrate.â Rai answered as she put her earbuds back in the case and in her pocket. âI think he wanted to throw boiling water on me..but besides that he was chill.â She shrugged and began to walk, Elaine following. âA priest? Ew, what'd he talk about? Did he want you to come by?â She sounded extremely suspicious. âHe just kinda talked, I'll be honest I forgot most of it. I think he said something about me coming by..but I don't know. Sundays are supposed to be my day off from band and everything. Oh! And his name is Gregor.â Rai didn't complain, she didn't even talk bad about him. Elaine didn't like it, she didn't trust him. âGregor? That's stupid.â She rolled her eyes. âWell, he didn't like your name either.â âhe WHAT?!â Rai started laughing at her friend's reaction. The two continued their conversation as they walked, Elaine being incredibly loud while Rai told her to be quiet.

Uhm.. you're gonna be shocked with the experiment thing!! HERE'S THE RESTđ«¶đ«¶
In the next episode the mystery is solved, I'm already expecting the hypothetical fans (if there are any) to have thought they solved it, to think that Kwyn is a clone of her mother. To think that her 'grandpa' is an insane scientist. Since it's already shown that he's a retired scientist. But this isn't the case at all. This episode starts with Kwyn, who is laying in bed, talking to herself. She's just mumbling nonsense really, wondering what she is if she is anything. So she decides to go back to the lab.
She's calmer this time, she can't explain why. She has this odd feeling of deja vu, she still can't explain why. She goes back to the secret room, where she finds a notebook. When she opens it she finds out it's her 'grandpas', as she goes through it she's hit with shock after shock. She isn't a clone. But she was an experiment. She found a picture of her mother holding her, right before she died. Her grandpa talked about how his co-workers wanted to start a new experiment, to see if they could bring back dead monsters. But they needed a child, someone young. He wasn't sure why, but he refused to give up Kwyn. So his co-workers did the only reasonable thing, they stole her. She had been missing for weeks, she was only a few months old. The notebook shows his descent into madness as time passed with how long she had been missing. The notebook ends with him talking about retiring seven years later so he can search for her.
She finds old tapes then goes to look for something to play it in. When she finds it she starts to play them, it's in her grandpa's perspective, he goes back to the lab to ask questions, even asking about the old experiment idea. He was bombarded with scientists yelling at him. He didn't understand why they were mad, but he was incredibly suspicious. So he went back that night when no one else was there. He found the secret area, he found her. A little seven year old in the test tube. The recording shows him going through files and files. She would pause the recording and look at the files herself. The other scientists had found something, a black goo, they had seen before. It didn't behave how it should. They documented how they had gotten her and injected it into her. Every day, the amount of the goo gets bigger with each day. She dropped the documents, accidentally hitting something that rolled and hit the recording, causing it to start up again. When this happened her focus was on that, it showed her grandpa destroying the place, taking a fire extinguisher and breaking the tube. Grabbing the girl and running off while sirens play in the background. The recording ends, she's shaking, panicking, she's confused, she looks back at the documents. They had documented everything. Every bit about her. They had caused her deformity, her ridicule. The thing she hated most about herself, the white streak of hair she kept hidden. She takes these documents and runs home, slamming them on the table in the living room and accusing her grandpa of lying. The episode wraps up with him reassuring her, it fades to black as he tells her she isn't a monster.
Erm... consider this the story for today ookieđ«¶đ«¶

Rai slowly sat up, rubbing her head. She looked around in a daze, everything around her was blurry. She squinted, wondering if maybe she should start wearing her glasses. She slowly stood up, tripping over her own feet and falling onto the swing set again. Why did she feel so weak? She didnât understand, she wasnât supposed to be weak. She was supposed to be tough, a leader. When she looked down she couldnât find anyone. She tried calling out their names but no sound came out, it felt like someone was choking her. Something grabbed her from behind, she recognized the person just by the hand. She froze, it couldnât really be him could it? It couldnât be! He was in jail! Her thoughts were quickly interrupted by a voice, she grew even more terrified. She turned around so quickly she almost fell over, when she saw who it was her heart dropped. She was right about it being him, but all other senses left her. She just stood there, feeling useless, just looking at him was enough to bring back a plethora of memories. He didnât say anything, he didnât even move, yet he brought back so much for her. She just began to cry, falling to her knees while sobbing into her hands. Every slap, every yell, every insult, everything was coming back, it hurt her so much.
In reality, she hadnât woken up. None of them had, they were having nightmares. Roy was hugging himself, almost trying to hide. Ross was just shaking, holding his hands to his chest. Robert had tried hiding in his coat. Elaine was laying on her back, breathing so fast it was like she was hyperventilating. Rai looked like she was trying to hide as well, just in a different way than Roy. They had no outside help, they were trapped. They didnât know how to get out, they all thought they were awake. Too afraid to realize what was actually happening to them. They all felt like they were reliving their trauma, experiencing their worst fears. They were helpless, trapped in their own heads. They continued to mumble, twitch, or whatever connected to what was happening in their heads. Their glowing eyes the only source of light for what looked like miles. Well, the stars shone above them. Twinkling with no pattern, like they didnât need to be connected to be beautiful. Like they didnât need to be perfectly in line to be beautiful.
Ross was the first to wake up, his fears werenât the worst. They may have been terrifying to him but even he managed to get over it. He had actually woken up, not like he thought he had been before. He saw everyone, he didnât even try to comprehend what was happening. He instantly went to try and wake the rest up. He went to Elaine first, knowing sheâd be the most sensible and most likely to help him. He tried shaking her awake but that didnât seem to do anything. After a minute of thinking it through he thought of something, he began to listen closely to her mumbling. When he realzied what she was mumbling about he became worried, but he pushed it back that he could fix this. He began to talk to her, coaxing her out of her nightmare. When she managed to overcome her fear she woke up, sitting up quickly. After the shock of everything wore off Ross explained what he thought was happening. Something about the creature punishing then for not getting along. Elaine had to sit and think about how stupid that was for a minute. When she noticed Rai crying she stopped though, running to her without second thought. She held her and was trying to talk to her, but Rai wasnât mumbling. Elaine had no clue how to help. Ross went to help Robert, he knew Robert could help with both Rai and Roy. Luckily for them Robert ended up waking up on his own. He panicked when he was bombarded by Ross and Elaine trying to explain everything. He didnât know who to help. His sister, or his best friend. He decided to go help Roy, he knew Rai well. He knew how strong she was.
He ran over to Roy and listened for any way he could help. He quickly realized what it was about when he saw how Roy was holding onto his sweater. He began to try to talk to him to calm him down, trying to help him realize it was a nightmare. It took a little longer than expected to get him awake again. He wouldnât let go of Ross or Robert, either holding their hand or hugging their arm. When one walked away he went to the other, he just needed support. They knew this and they were willing to help him with it. Elaine was still trying to wake up Rai, but she had no idea what was wrong. Her brain to scattered to try and figure out what it was. Robert had an idea, but he knew how upset she was, she wouldnât listen to him. She began to shake Rai to try and wake her up, it didnât work. Neither did yelling, if anything that made it worse. Elaine just began to cry, she didnât know what to do and it hurt her so much. The boys werenât the best with emotional things, so they stood to the side. Roy would walk up and try slapping her to wake her up, but Elaine just started yelling at him. He ran to hide behind Ross and Robert after that. Elaine didnât know what to do, she couldnât handle it, so she just cried.
