Hello, Writeblr!

It's been awhile! Like promised here goes my writeblr reintroduction because I've been seeing a lot of new faces (?) and it's been too long since I've last been active. irl kicking me in the ass nothing new about that My username used to be heyabella if anyone remembered that era.

So, hi! My name is Sofia, 21+, she/her, and I've been writing since I was thirteen! I actually have a lot of WIPs but there's only one I'm focusing on right now (and it's not the one I introduced a year ago I'M SO SORRY SELF)

Just to share, harinawa in my language means King-willing and in a primarily religious country it can also be translated into God-willing and... idk I feel like it holds power in itself. *a moment of silence bc I obviously feel like I was smart for choosing this name*

Dead Man Walking

a witch who cannot do magic and a pirate who never dies form a shaky alliance while hunting a common enemy, and realize that their fates may be intertwined much deeper than they think.

type: novel genre: fantasy themes and tropes: slow burn, found family, violence, politics, friendship features: magic, witches, pirates, sea creatures, necromancy, undead

I said I’d outline in October and ended up reading instead 💀 BUT NOVEMBER I’LL FINISH MY OUTLINES I SWEAR LIKE I’LL EVEN LOG AT THIS POINT-

Wonder why Ari pulled out before he came 🤔 if I remember correctly he felt “forced” to have sex with her to make an heir so why didn’t he come? 🤔 also reading the sex scene it seems like he’s attracted to her but doesn’t want to delve into that and just because he has a girlfriend but he seems to be afraid to like her or something. Maybe I read into it to much 🙃

so when reader said ari's name, it's like this (essentially) lust-filled haze that he was in snapped, and he came back to reality

though why he didn't finish the job, i doubt he doesn't know why either. he probably regrets it because he has to do it again but i think he was really scared because he was starting to get sucked into that moment!

HE IS AFRAID TO LIKE HER IN A WAY ! that's part of why he keeps his distance. but emotional attraction and physical attraction are also two different things, so though i think he may be physically attracted to reader (hence why he was into the sex) he might not be emotionally attached to her (no aftercare)

🙃 but i'm open to any interpretations. at this point, maybe we're all delusional that he showed his true emotions during the sex scene
