Since when is dark romance grape and abuse? if you want a real dark romance then read the hollow boys series which is unproblematic and my fav series. idk why some authors think they have to make their mmc be assholes for it to be dark romance {difference between being asshole and being morally gray/complex}
and let’s not shame people who read books that HAPPEN to have smut in them. that does not make them corn addicts unless they’re the ppl who “I can’t read book unless it has smut” or they’re the kind of people who romanticize abuse/grape!
I read a lot of genres, dark romance being one of them but I have no problem reading books without smut, as long as the plot is good. I mean one of my favorite books is the picture of Dorian gray which has no smut in it {I love that book sm, like the writing was what caught my love, the way it’s so poetically written and so beautiful}
