Stella’s story (post-Portal 2)

(I’m planning on turning this into a mod at some point btw!!)

So 7 years after the events of Portal 2, some random astronaut shows up at Aperture’s door step with Wheatley and is like “Did you guys drop this?”

Stella and Wheatley have a heartfelt reunion. She also convinces GLaDOS to not torture and kill Wheatley by toying with GLaDOS’s fear of being alone (or something idk I’ve been writing this for 3 days and I’m so tired)

Half of the year goes by and suddenly Chell bursts into Aperture to hide from the combine (which still exist but are like a tiny little group of people by now) while everyone else is playing go fish (this is also when the mod starts)

GLaDOS is about to kill Chell but Stella convinces her to just test Chell. After a few tests GLaDOS takes Chell, Stella, and Wheatley to her chamber and goes “Hey this is kinda boring can you just leave already?”

Stella takes over the chassis some how and like, I’m not sure if I want to be a forceful take over or a willing take over. If it’s willing then that’s like really ooc for GLaDOS but if it’s forceful then I’m afraid it’ll just feel like what you did with Wheatley

Anyways, I’ve written dialogue for this scene because I can’t really explain it any other way

“Just- Just make sure to visit!”

*Lift is moving upwards with Chell/the player, GLaDOS, and maybe Wheatley before suddenly stoping*

“Hey wait a minute-“ *Stella recoils* “oh my god I’m so sorry I probably just gave you some horrible memories I-“

“Hey, calm down, luv!”

*Stella takes a deep breath before speaking again* “I was just thinking, humans don’t live forever right? And you might die because of other things so… I was thinking of turning you into a core!” *Stella looks at the player with the happiest expression that you could put on a 3D model of a cartoon fox* “And- And then I thought that since cores can’t walk around, I could you guys bodies!”

“And you might die while you’re out there so maybe we could test or something? Because it might be a bit boring just standing around while I make the bodies…” *Stella fidgets with her paws awkwardly*

“That’s a horrible-“ “That’s a great idea!”

“Great, I’ll start working right now!” *The lift lowers and Stella pulls GLaDOS (and Wheatley if he’s in there) out before it descends further*

Now, it’s time to explain Stella’s reaction to the testing euphoria! Unlike Wheatley, who get’s addicted to it, Stella almost has the complete opposite reaction. Often crying out in pain after you solve a test, sometimes almost or completely throwing up, it’s just too much for a poor little fox like her

Stella also makes this for Wheatley while he’s in her chamber

Sometimes she grabs him off of it and shows him off like “Look at my husba- I mean Wheatley! Isn’t he so cool!?!?!? :3”

During the tests you also get to watch Stella slowly go insane in her desperate attempts to not end up like Wheatley or GLaDOS. She’s scared, she was only meant to be assistant

At some point a random bird starts to annoy her (dw it’s not GLaDOS’) which ends up being grabbed by Stella who snaps it’s neck, I have also written dialogue for this

“Get away from me!” *the bird gets grabbed and it’s neck suddenly snapped*

*Stella immediately drops the bird, obviously horrified from what she’s done* “I’m- I’m sorry… I don’t know what came over me…” *She cries for like the 87th time (This bitch cries A LOT)*

After a few more tests you finally meet back up with Stella, and this is where you can get one of two endings.

The bodies are finished and Stella knows how to put a human mind in a machine (from watching Caroline get killed) so you could just say yes to the procedure and get turned into a core. This will give you the “good ending”, in which Stella leaves the chassis and finally escapes from Aperture with Chell/the player and Wheatley.

Obviously, that ending isn’t canon. What’s actually meant to happen is that Chell/the player refuses, causing Stella to finally snap

She goes on a rant about how horrible her life was while Wheatley was in the chassis and in space, about how terrible GLaDOS and Aperture are, about how everything could’ve been avoided if everyone just talked. All while desperately trying to kill Chell/the player. She also confesses her love for Wheatley but honestly that doesn’t really matter at this point

At some point she even crashes her makeshift grave/memorial that she made for Wheatley into the chamber. She also makes a hole in the ceiling revealing the moon as she’s too crazy, angry, and sad to care that it might cause her downfall

Eventually, she’s finally weak enough to place a core on, Wheatley to be specific

But it doesn’t work she pushes Wheatley away before you can attach it one her. You know that means, Mental breakdown 2 electric Boogaloo! …Is that still funny? Am I funny yet?

Anyways, this bitch happens

Orange form Stella (or Orange!Stella) taunts and insults everyone there (including normal Stella) and starts the boss fight back up. You defeat her by knocking her disk off of the chassis, after which, Stella turns back to normal and retreats into the disk. She never leaves it

GLaDOS sends Chell/the player back to surface and nobody ever speaks of this again

…Honestly this sounded a lot better in my head…
