Burnout should... not be a thing that happens to you very often :s I hope you meant it more as "When I am busy" otherwise you may want to avoid to limit whatever gives you burnout if possible :s I hope I do not sound preachy. I say it because I am worrying because you seem nice, not because I want to dictate to you how to be, or pretend I know your life and situation. I DO like a mid day nap around 12 if I can get away with it. I will sleep under my desk if need be. But they are usually 30 min or so Means I am way more productive the last half of the day

Do any other autistics nap like...a lot?? On the weekends, I can easily nap 4+ hours and then still go to bed on time.

When I'm in burnout, I sometimes can nap repeatedly and then go to bed on-time.

I realized my notes at work had a bunch of errors.

Why?

Microsoft fucked up notepad.

It should not be possible. It is the simplest program there was.

But now it have autocorrect. Turned on by default to ruin your notes.

Because microsoft cannot just leave a program that works perfectly well, is super stable and requires no updates alone.

going back to windows to do something after using Linux for a while is always such a shock because of the 500 different pop ups, the fans go to max on the desktop, new daily update, stupid prompt to use edge and upgrade to windows 11, and linux is just existing no fans no pop ups nothing its just there ready to use when you turn the computer on

It have been a stupid and outdated thing for more than a decade.

It is a security measure that relies on humans being 100% reliable and able to generate passwords with no patterns.

Meanin, it does not work. Any place that requires this have people who decide security policies who knows nothing about security and are not in contact with the security community

I fucking hate forced password rotation, and I have no proof for this (personal speculation) but I think it's probably a shitty security measure.

Like. I only have so many passwords in me. If you force me to change my password every couple months then eventually imma give up and start coming up with ones that barely fulfill the password strength requirements just to get that shit over with.

Like idk from a data security standpoint I think it's probably better to have your employees stick with one good password than go through six mediocre ones a year.

Hey now!

Kotlin is a wonderful language!

For example, when exiting a coroutine, Kotlin AUTOMATICALLY throws a specific exeption and automatically catches it, to show that the coroutine exited normally.

Now, you may think it is bad to use exeptions as part of normal programming flow, but it is NESSESARY to re-invent GOTO's in a high level langauge like Kotlin!

/s

this year i'm in the mobile development trenches and it feels like it just gets worse every time i get back into it. if i never have to hear the words "gradle" or "kotlin" again i would be very happy. whatever those even are

Yep. At least not taken seriously by normies. But this is why I have partners! :D

95% of my emails for work is written in the evning.

When I can get my partner to help me.

I am VERY good at cooding, system design and the politics to get good design accepted.

I am very bad at anything that involves "Just do it normally". I do not know what it means

Social rules, writing emails or accepting invitations... anything like that

Too mentally ill to be “normal,” too good at faking functionality for people to take my issues seriously.
