she grew out in city 17 but also in black mesa east mostly, she saw how the place was made and

she loved more black mesa east (obviously), since city 17 is way more restrictive and she prefers a more open area rather than the city, also she loved black mesa east because she found so fascinating seeing her father working there, everything was so interesting and exciting than a city full of alien technology and every street watched

not only the vortigaunts but also Kleiner and Barney watched out for Alyx, when she couldn't be in black mesa east, she was in Kleiner's laboratory, since she was energetic, she could mess up the place, Kleiner just let her but for Barney it was kinda hell to clean up the mess

oh and also, she always found fascinating and of course strange the vortigaunts, her father told her how he let them join the resistance, the vortigaunts also were like the babysitter for alyx when eli was working with stuff where it was not appropriate for alyx, she had many freedom when it was like that

Kleiner always have her a sketchbook, Alyx likes so much to draw, when she had her first sketchbook, Eli was impressed by her creativity (bonus: he also drew in his sketchbook! petition of alyx), oh and also often the sketchbook kleiner gave to alyx were his own notepads, so there would be detailed calculations and silly drawings made by alyx, but alyx also tried to understand the calculations kleiner did in his notepads. Also she have somewhere these sketchbooks, is a silly memory for her.

Alyx was the type of child that could read a lot about random facts, she always took the books her father and Kleiner had, she especially read about how the world was before the combine invasion, she liked to share a lot about what she learned to everyone, though sometimes she shared facts that would scare a little to the others.

So as I said, she tried to understand the calculations made by Kleiner, when she couldn't understand she asked him about it and Kleiner gave her a 4 hour teach. This happened often. Kleiner is like her "teacher" and an uncle.

when she was bored, she could do anything, like anything, some mechanical device she treat as a toy? yeah things like that, ohh and when eli saw her creations, he complimented her creations and always saved it as a memory, he also used to improve those things and gave them as gifts to alyx. Sometimes, he wished so bad azyan was here so she could see how brilliant her daughter is.

there is a lot more but i think that is enough, in summary, Eli best dad, Kleiner the best at taking care of his friend's (boyfriend actually) daughter

She also collected a lot of things, anything she found she would save it and study it, often these things gave it to her dad, as Eli said, she always brings the strange things

i wish i could yap about Red Dead Redemption, but even if it isn't that necessary, i feel like i NEED to play RDR2 in order to properly yap, most of what i want to yap is about the story, so naturally I feel i need to know everything about this franchise. so bad i dont have a ps4 rn and my pc would explode trying to run RDR2
