I’d genuinely love to have this discussion if you’ll indulge me, because why do posts about plagiarism always seem to get more notes/reblogs than actual fics/art?

I’ve noticed a lot of the time other artists/writers will always rally up to support people who’ve had their works selfishly copied/stolen, but when these same works are originally posted they don’t receive that same support?

It’s always intrigued me the way that happens, like almost 200 reblogs on a plagiarism post in a day— but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fanfic receive that many in the same amount of time.

And even if a blog is lucky enough to get 200+ reblogs in a week (or a month even), most fics don’t even get a “this was great!” comment after, nevermind an essay about how good it was.

It was a well known fact that you and Luffy were extremely close. I mean, you did grow up with him. Getting in trouble, running around, eating any food that was in sight. If Luffy was around, then you would be around for sure as well. 

Luffy honestly likes to have you in the same vicinity as him. It was almost comforting to have you near him. 

To the rest of the crewmates, it was almost a bit weird. They didn’t notice it at first, but it wasn’t until you were separated from Luffy is when they noticed it. The biggest thing was that he refused to go on an adventure or eat a snack without you there. 

That’s when the teasing started as well. 

Saying that you were the Captains favorite. They only tease you about it though. Each time causing your face to burn a bright red. 

However, the one time that they teased you in front of Luffy- his response shocked the whole crew.

“Here (y/n)! Have some of this. It’s really good!” Luffy says while plopping some of his food onto your plate. You smile at him, “thanks! Try some of this too.” You say while giving him some of your food. 

You then hear some snickering, causing you to look over at Usopp. “What’s funny?” Nami asks him. “It’s nothing really. It just makes sense that Luffy would share his food with (y/n). Since they are the Captain's favorite.” 

As soon as you heard those words, your face turned into a slight pink from embarrassment. You didn’t know why you were embarrassed… it just felt like you got caught doing something. 

“Well yeah!” Luffy says, causing everyone to look at him, “of course they’re my favorite. They’re my partner after all, sshhiiishhiishii.” He says laughing and your eyes widen at his words.

“Eh??!!” Everyone shouts from shock at this newfound information. You let out a small groan, head falling into your hands. 

You heard a loud cry from Sanji, “how come he gets some, and I don’t?!” “Because no one wants you.” Zoro cuts in.

Luffy just continues to laugh, “I’ve been getting some for a while now.” He says and a small shriek leaves your lips from his words. Some of your crewmates' jaws drop in shock. 

“Luffy!”
