I think it's interesting how Johnny is invincible when he's acting under the Doughboys, yet when he becomes free suddenly he no longer has that protection. Once his actions are solely his own, he must face the consequences of them.

I think it's SO interesting how this works pretty well as a metaphor for accountability. If you're under the influence of something you can argue ur actions aren't your fault- but once you get clean you have to admit they are.

One time I stared into its soulless eyes and I saw the darkest pits of Limbo. Another time it swallowed a live kitten in front of me, and I’m sure if it is not destroyed, it will eat another.
