Warmest

Diavolo - Literally hurts to touch him sometimes. His palms feel like the surface of the sun. (They don't sweat, though, which just makes it all the weirder)

Beelzebub - Definitely hot, but not unbearably so. Unlike Dia, this is a sweaty boy and will often wake up in the morning with hair stuck to his forehead.

Mammon - Less hot than just nice and warm. Probably your best bet for toasty cuddles bc you won't run any risk of overheating like with the above two, but still plenty of warmth for you to leech.

Satan - Another distinctly warm boy, but all his warmth is pulled into his core, so his extremities are much cooler than the rest of his body. Still, we haven't reached clammy territory yet, so they're not really that cold, just cooler in comparison.

Simeon - It's less that his body itself is warm than it is that he has a faint, warm glow seeming to radiate from him. Probably something to do with being an angel, but it's pretty nice either way. Feels a bit like you're a cat sitting in a sunny spot when you're next to him.

Asmodeus - Neither warm nor cold, really. His temperature fluctuates with the temperature of his surroundings. This means his temperature is never a sudden shock when he inevitably clings to you, but it also means he's not ideal for either huddling for warmth in cold weather or cooling off together in hot weather.

Lucifer - We have officially entered clammy territory. Much like Satan, Lucifer's extremities are much colder than his core, but since his core isn't all that warm to begin with, his hands and feet are pretty damn chilly.

Solomon - No warmth to be found here, he will sap any heat out of you, and he's enough of a bastard to do it. That said, if you generally run hot, it's actually pretty pleasant.

Belphegor - Your core temperature drops a hell of a lot while you're asleep, and given how rarely he's fully awake for long periods of time, he's just perpetually in that state. What his natural baseline temperature is like is a mystery even to himself.

Barbatos - Cold enough that you will instinctively recoil the first time you grab his hand. The tips of his fingers are often white from lack of circulation. He does have the decency to avoid cuddling too close without express permission, though.

Leviathan - Frigid and clammy. He's an aquatic snake boy idk what you expected. Unless you yourself run particularly hot, you will probably scream if his feet touch your legs while cuddling.

Coolest

You, a supervillain, answer a knock at your door, only to find your superhero nemesis shivering, bleeding, scared, and slightly dazed (as if drugged). They appear to have been assaulted. The hero mumbles “…didn’t know where else to go…” before collapsing into your arms.

HANAHAKI! Barbatos X GN!Reader

Content Warning: Obvious angst, mentions of blood, slight implications of self-harm (depends on how you view it really, though), & death.

Prologue: He couldn't believe it. He was in disbelief as he realised what had happened. He coughed up a petal. He had caught the hanahaki disease.

Barbatos had been infatuated with you ever since you arrived and had been yearning to get closer to you, but due to his position as the royal butler and your busy schedule with school along with the demon brothers constantly at your side, it made it quite difficult for him.

As for you, you had been interested in Barbatos as well and also wished to be close to him but you just never had the time. All you could do was observe each other from afar.

The first to get Hanahaki was Barbatos. As he was doing his usual duties, he suddenly coughed, when he looked into his hand, he was shocked to find a petal. But he immediately brushed it off as he was arranging a flower bouquet for one of the vases around the castle.

As time went on, his feelings for you got stronger, and so did the Hanahaki. Once Barbatos realised that the petals came from him, he knew he had it. He knew that he would have to confess his feelings for you, but he feared that you would not reciprocate it, or get the surgery but he refused to lose these precious feelings.

You were the first person in his entirety of living that he had caught feelings for, and he truly believed that you were the one. And so, he hid his disease from everyone.

He hid it so well that nobody could tell a thing, but it was obvious that Barbatos was getting more tired and drained every day. Diavolo notices this one day and he points it out, Barbatos brushes it off but Diavolo orders him to have the rest of the day off so he could recover.

As Barbatos rested in his room, he started to violently cough up bloodied flowers. He knew that this would be the end, and he decides to write a letter to you using his remaining energy. The letter reads:

"My dearest Y/N,

I'm truly sorry you find out this way. I've had feelings for you ever since we met, I never confessed as I had feared that you might not reciprocate. I could have used my powers to tell yes, but I knew that it would be overstepping your boundaries and so I didn't pry any further.

I am truly sorry again for not confessing. I wish we had spent more time together, I love you so much, Y/N. I hope you find someone lovely and amazing, who would love you as much as I do. Please take care of yourself and I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me...

And as he finishes the letter, he coughs up his last bloodied flower and slouches over his desk as flowers bloom in his lungs and throat, completely taking over his respiratory system.

Diavolo finds his body the next day and is in absolute shambles. Word eventually reaches everyone and it causes distraught and disbelief to everyone. You took it the hardest out of all of them. When they handed you the letter, you couldn't even bring yourself to open it as it reminded you of Barbados.

"Barbatos could've easily avoided this! He could've used his powers to shift into a different timeline!!! So why?!?!? Why didn't he?!?" You exclaimed in between sobs.

As you grieved, you lashed out at everyone who tried to comfort you, completely shutting them out and ruining your relationships. You had completely shut yourself off from everyone in your room and every time you went out, you would only look more sad and tired. All everyone could do was watch as you destroyed yourself.

As you cried yourself to sleep once more, you started to cough uncontrollably, as you looked into your hands, you find several bloodied petals and you knew you had caught it too. You knew how to stop this but you didn't want to lose your feelings for Barbatos.

You didn't want the surgery, it made your heart ache every time you thought of it. So it was only a matter of time. So this made you decide to turn your life around.

You apologized to everyone, went out more, and opened up more, but you've never told anyone that you caught the Hanahaki disease as well.

To everyone, it seemed that you were finally over it, and you even opened the letter Barbatos left you.

But it was all a facade, you would constantly excuse yourself to cough up more bloodied flowers and would constantly be in agony every night.

One day, as the hanahaki got worse, you decided to skip class to rest in your room, Lucifer let this slide as he could visibly see how sickly you look.

You knew that this would be your last day as well and as you cough up flowers on your bed, you decided to send a mass text to everyone, saying:

"I'm sorry, everyone."

And as you send off the mass text, you cough up your last flower and you whisper. "I'm coming, my love." You close your eyes as you lay on your bed, letting the Hanahaki take over your lungs and throat.
