I just read a post when you say you won't write anything with BP characters and a white reader, can I ask you why? Just if you're okay with that

Just because I know that having a cast with all black main characters is very empowering for those who feel like all main characters in movies or tv shows are white. I don’t want to disrespect them by tossing in a completely white reader to be Queen of Wakanda for example. Being Asian myself, I do understand that on a smaller level. But after I’ve made that post, I’ve had several lovely ladies come to me and say thank you - because their biggest fear is for their favourite BP character to have a white female love interest. This doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy fics if you’re a white reader. Use your imagination! Pretend you were born in Wakanda. What would you look like? I hope this explains it? I have to head to class, and am happy to make a thorough post later if you wish.

As we all predicted, I just saw black panther and I freaking LOVED IT. *makes grabby hands for requests and beta readers*

What do I mean by beta readers, you ask? Good question.

As a half asian, half ... well, basically everything in Europe, woman - I want to make 100% sure my portrayal of POCS and their culture(s) is accurate. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know squat. And reading a guide just isn’t the right approach in my opinion. So I’m looking for some lovely POC readers (African American/Black) to proof read my works before I post them, to make sure I don’t make mistakes. Its also of note that i WILL NOT WRITE any of the black panther characters with a white reader. I’m sorry, but I won’t do it.
