Side note- my brother has a gf, and let me tell you he is the biggest fucking dork ever and I will die before I stop making fun of him for it. This man volunteered to go FIGHT A FOREST FIRE near where his gf lives because she was complaining that the smoke was making it hard for her to row. And I don’t mean he made a “I’ll go get rid of the fire for you babe” joke. I mean he genuinely signed up through the military to go and fight the fire so his gf (a national level rower) could exercise in clean air.

This is what masculinity was supposed to be. None of that alpha male bullshit, just the pure, goodhearted urge to go fight forest fires for your gf’s convenience.

Anyways now that I have a following I can make fun of my dorky brother to not just my friends, but to hundreds of people MWAHAHAHA!

Fungi are heterotrophs like animals, but instead of putting their food inside themselves, they put themselves into their food and digest it on the outside of their bodies.

Sure! Here’s a few, from my mushroom book!

You place a mushroom cap on a piece of paper and let the spores fall out, and it forms these super cool prints! It’s the best way to figure out what colour the spores of a mushroom are! The second one is from a bolete mushroom, which doesn’t have gills. It has pores instead, which forms spore prints made of tiny dots instead of lines. I’ve done spore prints for mushrooms with white spores, which you have to do on black paper. I haven’t had any of those show up very well yet, but when I do make a really good one I’ll make sure to show you guys! :D
