Hey! Can You Briefly Talk About Your Drawing Process? Steps, Brush Preferences Etc.
hey! can you briefly talk about your drawing process? steps, brush preferences etc.
hey! nothing fancy or too technical worth mentioning tbh. i used to start with a light sketch and work my way through there but i no longer do that. instead, i block in main shapes and colours without worrying about the values too much. then i start adding details to the point where i am happy with the result. i try not to zoom in at all, and paint everything on one layer if possible (just to get that traditional feeling. things can get a bit overdone/realistic if i zoom in too much for detailing, and i personally am not a fan of that look).
in terms of brushes, again, nothing fancy. a flat brush with full opacity for blocking-in colours and detailing, a round bristle brush as mixer. i was obsessed with brush-hunting on gumroad or creating custom ones. but i now prefer messing with the brush settings if a specific one is needed. much easier than finding a new brush.
