This is the thing I get asked about the most so here’s an honest try.

Hey! Sorry for the exhaustively late reply, but I wanted to answer this properly.

Also please note take these notes with a grain of salt because I’m still learning and evolving myself so what I do now might completely change in a few months but right now it’s how I go about things. Other artists will be different and have other variations and that’s cool too! Try everything out!!

What I will say that we all do the same is practice. I only started getting confident at drawing bodies when I started life drawing. I definitely recommend learning from life first. It’s the best way to figure out where everything is and become looser at drawing!

They usually say not to draw from a screen or photo cause its flat, but I know classes are expensive so these are some free easy tools for yourself!

http://artists.pixelovely.com/  I find this site fantastic for practicing! you can do sessions and get a time limit so it forces you to stretch your arm muscles and get swooshing on paper. Its also great cause it not only does poses of both female and male but you get specific hand and feet sessions or expression sessions.

Also, Pinterest is your friend. Pinterest has so much amazing references I go on it for about 5 minutes and am already inspired. https://www.pinterest.com/blargberries/ I have my own account and pin stuff like anatomy, clothing and colouring if that helps!

Sometimes people use “respect” to mean “treating someone like a person” and sometimes they use “respect” to mean “treating someone like an authority”

and sometimes people who are used to being treated like an authority say “if you won’t respect me I won’t respect you” and they mean “if you won’t treat me like an authority I won’t treat you like a person”

and they think they’re being fair but they aren’t, and it’s not okay.

just worked on a numeric system, based on old roman and old chinese systems… from 5 to 45. is it understandable?

I have difficulty to place ears. Do you have any advice? Thank you!
