The Event

Let’s celebrate Halloween together with a fun game! During this event, we’ll knock on people’s ask boxes and send them a simple question: Trick or Treat? 🦇

The recipient decides if it’s to be a trick, or a treat, as the owner of the house.

🍬 Treat — If the recipient choses treat, they share something with us as a treat. This could be a snippet, a line, OC trivia, or what have you!

👻 Trick — Turning the question around, the asker now has to share something of their own! But, seeing as it’s a trick, they may leave something under a read more, or link to something, that may catch you off guard… 😱

The event is held* through 27th-29th of October.

Okay, I’ve done this for Hettie and Oliver, so this time it’s Adrin’s turn!

5 words to physically describe your OC (do you have a drawing? even better!)

Pretty, blonde, toned, sad eyes

Who inspired your OC? (can be your mum to a very famous fungi)

YES okay so Adrin was the first character I created for Silver Sentinels. He was initially inspired by Soren from The Dragon Prince because I love, love LOVE his character arc. He’s just a loyal knight following orders and chooses to throw everything away (including his family) to do the right thing when he realizes he’s a part of the problem. Adrin’s arc kind of reflects that in a way, which you will see by the end of ToL. Additionally, Soren’s appearance greatly influenced Adrin’s.

I call him my golden retriever because he’s cute, loyal, protective and just so stupid sometimes. He’s a large part of the comic relief, usually at his own expense or Mara’s.

I have been actively looking for more but the one that is just perfect so far I imagine to be Sophie’s song to him :(

If I met your OC on the street how would they greet me?

Listen, the ToL gang is pretty antisocial as a whole. They’re all too emo for that. If he greeted you at all, rather than slouching past in an angsty manner, it would be a simple “hello” and “goodbye”. He’s polite, but largely uninterested in making friends.

Can your OC be your best friend? Why?

Of course! I love Adrin, he’s a sad man who needs all the friends. Majority of his dialogue is taken verbatim from me, reading my writing aloud—his sarcasm fuels me, and vice versa. I also enjoy that he doesn’t take Mara’s attitude seriously and treats her like the feral cat she is. “Oh you want to snap at me? What are you going to do, bite me?” I’m a very sarcastic person and I need friends who can keep up with that. Also, every time I see videos of someone bathing their hairless cat I immediately wish I had the ability to send them to him. (Irk, in a little swimming cap? Adrin giving him a bath??? I would die and so would Hettie.)

I would also be friends with him just so I could play with his fancy sword…

My favorite Star Wars characters are: Anakin Skywalker, Alexsandr Kallus, Ben Solo, and Ahsoka Tahno.

I recently got a new haircut! (Pixie-style hair is my fave haircut to have!)

I have loved Halloween since I was very young, and always liked gothic-style stories. As a child, The Corpse Bride was one of my favorite movies when it came out (and honestly still is lmao!).

Favorite season: Winter and Fall! I adore cold weather and everything that comes with it (though my country unfortunately never snows).

Continent where I live: South America

How I spend my (free) time:

Gaming (especially playing Baldur's Gate 3 recently, - Good Astarion Romance Route all the way!)

Watching my favorite movies and series

Writing my WIPs

Drawing (traditionally and digitally) art, especially character designs

Drinking tea/juice/chocolate milk

Listening to good music

When I am not in my free time, I am a college student, focusing on animation for movies and games, as well as character design.

Are you published? Not yet, but I hope to be in the near future! Whenever I finish drafting my main WIPs - The Last Wrath and Tales of WIlted Flowers - that is lmao.

Introvert or extrovert? I don't know. Maybe amibivert? I would say I am introverted towards large crowds and people whom I don't know that well, but extroverted to friends and family. I love talking to people, that's for sure lol

Favorite meal: Anything with chicken or fish, but honestly, I adore chicken stroganoffs (even though I can't really cook!) and no-gluten homemade chicken pie.

Who inspired your OC? (can be your mum to a very famous fungi)

This is great lmao. I would say that Rylisan was definitely inspired in some ways by Alucard, from the series Castlevania (which is one of my favorite series of all time!). Not in the sense of character arcs and context, but in the way they share similar personality traits, somewhat. They're both quiet, but incredibly sassy (especially when it comes to annoying a friend), while being endearingly wholesome, in a way.

If I met your OC on the street how would they greet me?

Oh, Rylisan is the sweetest and most polite boi! Especially when it comes to greeting people, though he is admittedly very introverted/antisocial. He would likely greet you with a small smile and a soft-spoken hello (he doesn't speak very loudly), and though he would not do a hand-shake, he would do a slight bow (like, ever so slightly incline himself towards you, like one would greet someone formally at a royal ball). Afterward, he would likely move on or let his more extroverted friends do the talking - unless directly asked a question.

Can your OC be your best friend? Why?

Absolutely! I mean, Rylisan's sassiness and weird sense of humor are pretty similar to mine, and I think that we would have a lot to talk about, especially when it comes to books and curious facts - though I think that would unleash too much chaos, the world ain't ready for that lmao.
