Rules: Post the Last Line you wrote.

(For my Gothic Victorian Fantasy WIP, Enchanted Illusions)

“[...] On the other side of the inn, the strange, blond haired young girl disguised as a boy would soon become his only hope and he her only clue on her strange mystery, but first, they’d have to meet [...]”

(For my Medieval Dark Fantasy WIP, The Last Wrath)

[...] “The most deadly piece in the chessboard is the one your opponent never saw coming,”  Her adoptive father gazed steadily ahead, speaking calmly as they walked side by side through the old palace’s moonlit gardens, “Never forget that, child.” Ellinor nodded. [...]

(I am well aware that the second last line bit is more of a “last paragraph”, but the actual last line, “Ellinor nodded”, would be completely out of context without it, lol)

The things you create don’t have to make sense! They can be messy and wild! They can be confusing and strange! They can be ugly and weird! Stop tethering your sense of creativity to what other people will accept. You deserve to create without inhibition.

Excerpt From The Last Wrath

@lassiesandiego @lyutenw @rickie-the-storyteller @writernopal

Enemies to Lovers Moment/Vibes:

“ [...] As they faced each other on the marble hallway, the air around them seemed to grow almost stiff as the intricately carved stones surrounding them, and no one dared to say a word as Nethen stared her down, his face as unreadable and haughty as a statue.  “You’re just the second-hand daughter of an assassin.” Venom dripped amusedly in his words, lips curled into a disdainful mask. A test of her mettle. Ellinor did not answer, but her eyes turned so sharp that they’d have made her surrogate father’s deadly Lunar Daggers look dull, as she closed the distance between them. Head held high, it almost looked like she was the one staring down at him as she finally spoke, her face never once wavering. “And you’re the little pampered son of a fake dyplomat. I bet you never left this castle without a chaperone watching your every step.” The silence that followed was just as intense as the gaze shared between them. Behind her, her friends stood frozen, watching the scene unravel.

Nethen was taken aback, facade breaking down just for a moment as he tried to gather his thoughts. Then, he grinned sharply, almost as if proud of the rebel princess’ comeback.

“Fair enough.”

With that, he turned on his heels. Ellinor followed him with her eyes, and then turned to join her dumbstruck friends as they melted into the shadows of the fortress, disappearing into the night just as quietly as they had sneaked in. [...]”
