Which OC was first? What was this OC story of creation?

My first ever OC must be Maple(splash)! She started off as a Warriors Cats OC but as I grew away from the fandom she evolved into a new world and a new character. I made her when I was like 10 😭 her and I have been through thick and thin ngl

What motivated me to make her was a character from the books called Spottedleaf and another cat named Mapleshade. I loved those two even though at first I thought they were the same characters/related :')

She was a warrior cat that was energetic but a loner, if that makes sense(?). It definitely made sense to me all those years ago.

I got a lot criticism for her design since she wasn't a "natural" cat (excluding the wings, since those came way later, I mean her colouring here), and the FB groups for Warriors Cats were so strict with it so 😭 rip.

Maple is my pookie though, a reminder of my old cringe but good days

After that my second OC was for Creepypasta and the one after that was for Supernatural. All old fandoms but really full of so many memories.

I think one big reason why we don't consider the stars as important as before (not even pop-astrology anymore cares about the stars or the sky on itself, just the signs deprived of context) is because of light pollution.

For most of human history the sky looked between 1-3, 4 at most. And then all of a sudden with electrification it was gone (I'm lucky if I get 6 in my small city). The first time I saw the Milky Way fully as a kid was a spiritual experience, I was almost scared on how BRIGHT it was, it felt like someone was looking back at me. You don't get that at all with modern light pollution.

When most people talk about stargazing nowadays they think about watching about a couple of bright dots. The stars are really, really not like that. The unpolluted night sky is a festival of fireworks. There is nothing like it.

Hiii!!! Glad to see someone else who likes to make OCs. I wish I could make one for Wuthering Waves but it's just too early. Not enough story yet 😔

I have a couple of vague ideas for now. Some sort of butler/maid type, an adrenaline junky, and a courier (+ more).

Need more world building details, though. WuWa feed me loooorrrrreeee

OC is my bread and butter tbh, I love making OCs and seeing how they'd interact with the canon characters and the story itself, it's super fun and comforting ngl<3

And I totally get you! 😭 Wuwa needs to get more lore asap, although even with the stuff we have now you could definitely start exploring ideas. Besides the obvious main act, the side quests are really interesting and have some really nice plots! I am also holding back a bit on fleshing my girl out due to the upcoming acts in Jinzhou that may impact her story but who says we can't babble about the possibilities 😔

A courier for Wuwa does have quite a handful of ways to go about, story wise and well... physically moving place to place qhwheje It reminded me of that quest in game that leads you to the Sea of Flames where that courier was one brave/bold woman 😭
