After drawing Astarion as a Chibi, I had the urge to draw Karlach as well. Drawing and Linearting Karlach was a literal nightmare as I tried to be accurate with her outfit but also simplify it enough so that it will work for the chibi in the end). Coloring her however was the most like coloring inside a coloring book and it was super relaxing. :)

There are people out there who put my thoughts about AI in much better words than I ever could and if I would sound like a broken record or a parrot if I gonna repeat what people like Steven Zapata, Karla Ortiz, Sinix or all these other amazing artists already said about it. But I have a message for those who currently think about giving up on Art because of the AIs and the Layoffs that are surrounding it. You know, we humans have something that machines do not have. It's a soul. A wide range of complex emotions. A whole lot of experiences. We Humans are unique in our own way and unique in a sense that we have our own voices. Even if you are young and haven't found your yet, I am sure that you will discover it and that you will be able to make the most beautiful artwork that mankind ever has seen. All you need to do is to believe in yourself, in your skills and in your creativity. Because after all, a artwork is so much more than it being pretty or cool. Even if you draw the most mundane stuff, there is your soul into it. All your emotions. All your experiences. And if that isn't reason enough to stay creative, I don't know what else to tell you! So please, keep creating.

I could ramble so much more about this topic but that would make this post unnessarily long. Instead, let me tell you a little synopsis about this image: Originally I plan to be much softer topicvise with this image. A "Support Human artists" in the background, wholesome and warm colors. Midway through the image I then thought "Nah screw this, I gonna make this image cool. And so this image was done. I think I'm very proud of it because all the practice that I currently put into getting better really shows in my artwork and it makes me truely happy! Hopefully I will get better in drawing elbows better in the future though.

On todays Character Design Challenge with my friends, we decided to design some Goblins. Due to a Portfolio Project I'm kind of in a musical mood and so I went with the idea of Spikey, a rebelious Goblin Teenager who dreams of becoming a great Drummer one day. One thing that I always find funny about these projects is how easy it is for me to switch styles. From more cartoony and Graphical back to more realistic to a mix of both styles. While the switch sure brings up some advantage on the professional side, it is also hard building up a portfolio with all the work I do.

I was in need of a new Linked In Banner because the one I had before was 2 years old and not representative anymore. Therefore I challenged myself to design an illustration in a rather odd format. And this is the result :)!
