Hi! I Keep Seeing Hanfu Robes With Just One Shoulder, Usually For Men. What's Up With That? Is It A Thing
Hi! I keep seeing hanfu robes with just one shoulder, usually for men. What's up with that? Is it a thing that actually existed?
Hi, thanks for the question, and sorry for taking ages to reply!

Yes, the style of wearing hanfu robes with just one shoulder for men existed historically, during the Tang dynasty. As @beehunni62 wrote in this post:
The specific trend of hanfu worn here was one used during the Tang Dynasty, specifically for archery and/or horse riding. It’s composed of a white silk round collar undershirt 圆领汗衫中衣, a jacket called a banbi 半臂, and a round collar robe 圓領袍.
The sleeve pertaining to the arm of the dominant hand was removed from the shoulder and tucked under the belt to allow for maximum mobility and comfort while shooting arrows or horse riding.
The trend created the opportunity for two or more different fabrics to be placed side by side showcasing an aesthetic contrast.
Please check out the post for a more detailed explanation with images.
Hope this helps! ^^

when you have a small girlfriend and you easily carry her around. yep that's them

having a nice time just to play with azula hair from young to older version of her edit: dang it wrong account to post this XD
I love the tragic aspect if she did end up dead. We didn't get Ursa to say she really loves Azula because she died. And Zuko won't meet her forever. It's sad but yeah it was fit for Ursa because like Ursa in myth gets so many fuck up a story that her own son wants to kill her because they dont know that the bear was his own mother and her child Arcas was simply hunting. It just gives a lot of depth to the name itself XD
I do have an idea if I doing writing if you wanna hear it I can just send it to your DM.
Ursa didn't love Azula
And if she did she never showed it properly which... for a child is felt the same as not being loved at all. I can understand especially in the context of the abusive domestic situation their family was in that it was difficult for Ursa to properly parent both her children, but it's not a stretch to say that Ursa saw too much of Ozai in Azula, and she sure as hell didnt love Ozai lol
I dont even know if she has a choice or what just to leave her children with a man who was abusive just because she thinks their place is in the palace. Yeah, she's been banished bla bla bla but well in the series she just left without knowing why the fuck she left. First of all, why does she agree to leave? she was the one who hold the key to what Ozai want. Yeah I know she was the first one that came to Ozai for Zuko live. But like I think for her character that was been written to love her children I can see she was a person that tried to kill Ozai too in the way. but maybe because she died or something accident happen that made she can save her own children, like making her die in the series would explain why she never appears or trying to appear in Zuko and Azula's live

I know im very very late to share my art about these two ever since I'm entering the fandom. I've been playing Arcana since the pandemic but never post my beloved wife with her husband because I lack the skill to draw Nadia but always think about them (I just draw them on paper and digital sometimes but not really good ones). Im going back to my roots where everything begins. maybe in the future, I will draw them more because I still love them and I always want to write a story about them, I will draw them more because now I have enough skill to draw Nadia even when it still does not look like her.
Ps. Raafa and Nadia always have a distant relationship because of their respective responsibilities. Raafa was still a prince and had duty in Han Guo while Nadia had duty in Vesuvia.
