Summary:Y/N just lost a very dear friend and doesn’t know how to go on with life, luckily her husband Shouta is there.

“I’m sorry, they didn’t make it.”

These were the words that destroyed you.

One of your dearest friends, gone.

Just gone.

It hurt you, destroyed you.

All you could do was lying there, in your and your husband’s bed, all day. You weren’t able to stand up, the moment the call you got would play again and again in your head.

“I’m sorry, they didn’t make it.”

That’s all you were able to think about for the last two weeks, well beides the haunting thoughts.

What if you called them before it happened?

What if you invited them over instead of going grocery shopping?

What if you were with them?

What if ———

“Y/N? Are you asleep?”

Your tired eyes look up.

And they met other tired eyes, though they were not tired because of nightmares like yours were.

All you could do was stare at your husband. Too drained to say something.

So you just lied back down.

Shouta knew what real loss means, so he understands what you’re going through. And so he understands what you need.

The mattress shifts as he climbs into bed and lies down next to you.

“You should eat something.”

He starts to rub your back, you love it when he does that, but right now you just feel nothing.

They also loved it when they got physical touch, like hugging, now you can’t hug them anymore, because now they’re———

“I got a call.”

You look at him.

“The date for the funeral…”

You look away again.

“Death is so weird, all their things still were at their house, as if they’re coming back..”

Your voice is quiet and shaky.

“I know baby, I know.”

Shouta gave you a quick kiss.

“Want a Bath?”

You shake your head.

“Y/N…”

You don’t answer.

You also don’t resist as he picks you up and walks with you to the bathroom.

He sets you in the bathtub and starts the water, it’s cold at first and then warm, like the blanket. Does death feel like that?

Your husband gives you a scalp massage while shampooing your hair. You let yourself glide further into the bathtub.

“Want to get out?”

You don’t answer, so he lets you stay inside for a bit more. After half an hour he gets you out and dries you off. He then gives you a fresh shirt, it still smells clean. You didn’t smell that for a long time.

Shouta gives you some pyjama pants and carries you to the couch. You need a room change. Even if it’s a small one.

“Movie?”

You shake your head again.

He sighs and sits down next to you. You lean into him and he kisses your shoulder.

“You want to go?”

You blink, when did he start talking?

“Hm?”

“To the funeral?”

You stay quiet.

Before you break out into tears, many tears. And sobs, and sniffs.

And Shouta just holds you while gently rocking your body.

That’s all he can do right now.

You didn’t cry for a very long time, thought there were no tears left. It seems like there were.

You cry into Shouta’s chest, his shirt will be all wet after but that’s okay. All he can do is rocking you and reassuring you the moment he notices that you’re struggling to calm down yourself.

“Shhh Baby, i know…it’s okay..”

You slowly start to calm down. Still having a shaky breath but that’s okay.

Shouta wipes your remaining tears away and gives you another kiss.

“H-how can I g-go on with l-life…”

“That’s the hard part about death Y/N, acceptance. It’s going to be okay, but it’s going to be different.”

And it just happened like that.

It took some time but it turned out okay.

It just was a bit different, but that was okay.

atsuhiro leaned back in his chair, a smug smile on his lips as he sipped his drink. across from him, sat twice who looked like he was being held hostage. "you wouldn't believe the day i've had," atsuhiro began, his eyes sparkling. "y/n cooked for me today! it was so remarkable and exquisite! they made this-" "listen man," twice interrupted, trying to put on a pleasant expression. "i'm really happy for you and i love that you enjoy your time with y/n! but..how long are you planning to keep talking about them? it's been like almost 4 hours."

dates with him are always unique and memorable. private magic shows, picnics in scenic spots or romantic candle lit dinners in secret places.

a HUGE gift giver!

he will go all out! oh you were eyeing a pair of cute shoes today? he stealthily compressed it and presented it to you proudly. or maybe you had to reluctantly leave a cute giant teddy bear behind at that one shop...only to find out that the marble atsuhiro left on your desk was actually the teddy bear!

yeah he's technically stealing them instead of buying but its the thought that counts! (he is a villian after all, what can you expect?)

he's not afraid to show you his love openly.

expect grand declarations of love, like surprise dates or writing you countless romantic letters as if he were a lovesick teenager.

the other lov members are sick and jealous of you two.

he always respects your personal space and boundaries and makes sure you don't get overwhelmed by his dramatic personality.

as much as he is confident and flashy in public, he's incredibly affectionate and sweet in private.

late night cuddle sessions while you two talk for hours on end, comfortable in each other's arms. honestly, that's his favorite part of the day.

he can be a bit possessive, but not in an oppressive way.

usually more dramatic and pouty when he's jealous, making the situation more silly than serious.

in the dim glow of your room, atsuhiro sulked dramatically on the edge of your bed. you were completely engrossed in your book, sitting with your back pressed against the headboard of your bed. "do you know," atsuhiro began, letting out a melodramatic sigh, "how dreadfully overlooked and unimportant i feel at this moment?" you glanced up, an eyebrow raised. "oh really? and what is that supposed to mean?". atsuhiro shifted, leaning forward with an exaggerated pout. "well, it's not everyday one finds themselves overshadowed by a book of all things." you giggled softly, setting the book aside. "aww are you jealous of a book?" "jealous?" he scoffed, "whatever made you think such a thing? i simply can't bear to see my amazing presence overshadowed by..pages. that's all!" "alright, oh great one, i apologize for this disastrous behavior of mine. please forgive me" you reply, matching his tone playfully. his pout softened into a smile, the dramatic flair melting into warmth. "well, perhaps if you could indulge me with a bit more attention, i may consider forgiving you." "yes yes, my attention is now all yours." you reply, wrapping your arms around him as you place a soft kiss on the top of his head.

ANWAYSY yeah today was kinda funish bc like we were moving n stuff and my older brother came to help and it was like really hard and I got really mad when building a bunk bed :( but then on our way home my brother bought me a cheeseburger from McDonald's !!! and then I found that my dad bought us fried chicken and potato salad and pretzels !!!!! so I literally gorged myself, took a 2 hour nap, made dinner (didn't eat it bc I was so full from lunch) and I drew and now !!! so I'm feeling pretty good yk like I'm surprised how ok I feel (I need to shower so bad you guys omg I'm all sweaty from today but literally EVEYRONE ELSE has been in the shower and I haven't gotten the chance to shower yet IM GONNA TEAR MY SKIN OFF)
