I’ve yet to see any mention of this on tumblr yet, so Walter Wallace, a 27yr old mentally ill black man was murdered in cold blood as his family watched by Philadelphia police just a few hours ago.

As far as I can tell, his family does not currently have any crowdfunding set up. But Philly has a very large number of protesters on the streets and there’s been many arrests, so in the mean time, do consider donating to Philly Bail Out, and Philly Bail Fund

Depression is a shitty thing, it can happen to anyone, anxiety and depression go hand in hand unfortunately, and its SUCH a shitty mind space to be in.

Its ok to talk about your feelings with friends and family, but ultimately there's only ONE person in this world who can help you, and that person is yourself. Seeking help is SO important, and you can't depend on everyone around you to pick you up when you're down, sometimes you gotta struggle to drag yourself up from the ground and do things yourself. If you're lucky enough to have people there for you, then great! But I can tell you they don't have answers to your personal problems, only you can sort those. Its your mind and your feelings at the end of the day.

Some people dont want to help themselves though, and its truly truly sad, but life is super precious, and if doing even the smallest of things that you enjoy to do that make you feel something other than anger and sadness, then do it when you have some time, go for a walk? Play an old videogame that makes you feel nostalgic? Draw your favourite character? Write stories? Brush your hair? Play with different makeup styles? Discover new music? Hell sit there and randomly make a fart noise with your mouth if dumb shit like that makes you smile for even a second 😂

The worst thing to do is DWELL on your own sadness constantly, you can BE sad, its ok to be sad, we all have moments, we can all lash out at other's, we can all isolate and distance ourselves from people to be alone if that's what you need, Its OK. But literally sometimes you just gotta breath, and think about things other than your depression, dwelling won't help you. It will make you worse, not seeking help when you REALLY need it is another thing, its not going to disappear by itself, only YOU can make that change.
