If B&C occurred without Rhaenyra’s consent or condemnation then we have to acknowledge that Rhaenyra cannot for lack of a better word “control” her “consort” I use the word control because like it as not Rhaenyra as the regnant should have more power in their “official” partnership then Daemon. Especially when it comes to political decisions that occur in war.

Which then showcases two things. The Greens had “some” right to “fear” for their lives under a Daemon King Consort Westeros but also that Rhaenyra was in fact groomed by Daemon.

Which is established in the book but skirted around in the show. Rhaenyra could not trust him to default to her Queenship nor assert him too through years of grooming - not only that but Daemon hurt her Queenship by his actions that due to Westerosi misogyny all fell on her. Otto Hightower, The Shepherd were all peddling propaganda that fell on her not Daemon.

However if Rhaenyra did consent to B&C - (While I think B&C is one of the worst atrocities of the war) I am horrified at her choice but also can understand that grief can be maddening and ultimately F&B does showcase this as both Aegon & Rhaenyra make more and more horrifyingly decisions because of the losses they experienced.
