Hello, mutuals, followers. Anyone that sees this. My homeland Sri Lanka has fallen into the worst economic crisis in her history. I’ve lived through multiple of these crisis’ before but this is worse than rock bottom and I did not ever realize we could even dig ourselves deeper than rock bottom.

My home has run out of food, petrol, medicine, and more. My people are dying in queues waiting for food , petrol and medicine. My own loved ones are barely hanging on. There’s on going protests nation wide and they are met state violence.

So while the Sri Lankan people are fighting for basic needs here’s some small ways you can help through donations. Down below will be an article about the crisis and then I’ll list a link tree which will take you to a google doc. • Simultaneously, Israeli fighters bombed a house in Rafah, and a residential apartment in Khan-Younis.

• As a result to these attacks, 7 Palestinians were killed (5 of whom are children) and 79 were injured (most of whom are children, many are in critical condition).

AO3 donators, it’s voting time. And one particular candidate not only doesn’t understand AO3 on a fundamental level (somehow, despite being a tenured user and an unfortunate volunteer) but actively wants to push censorship. They are the exact kind of person we don’t need involved with OTW or AO3 for that matter. The same kind of person we have to actively fight against like, all the time. I frankly don’t know how the hell they even became a volunteer but, anyway. Got vote for people who won’t actively work to destroy it.

PSA 🚨🚨🚨

I don't do this much but a friend of mine who lives in Turkey has come to me about this issue.

A rough translation they gave me:

"the RTÜK (high Institution of radio and tv) has accepted the hateful protests that is against LGBT+ people as a PSA which means they can televise this and spread the hateful message in TVs."

This doesn't just affect LGBTQ+ people, this affects EVERYONE. Despite freedoms of LGBTQ folks they are still facing prosecution, they are still being hurt, they are still being killed. This is not a drill. We need to stand for our community in their hour of need.

Do not ignore, bc there are lives being put at stake.
