PAY FUCKING ATTENTION TO IRAN

I am FURIOUS and BAFFLED that major news outlets are not covering what’s going on in Iran right now and I don’t fucking have a twitter so I can’t make noise over there, even though apparently that’s the only social media platform people pay attention to????

Students at Sharif University of Technology in Tehran have been one group of many students and professors across the nation protesting, and NOW, the regime’s security forces have LOCKED THE STUDENTS IN THE UNIVERSITY AND ARE ARRESTING THEM IN MASSES AND SHOOTING AT THEM IF THEY TRY TO ESCAPE OUT THE GATES.

You have DOZENS of teenagers running for their lives in the dark while their parents and fellow citizens are protesting outside the gates chanting “free the students”. And NOW, the they’re sending more repression forces to the University!!

A BBC article says it’s unable to verify the events at the university in the same space it writes that VIDEO FOOTAGE on social media shows students RUNNING FROM SECURITY FORCES ON CAMPUS.

THE AUDACITY.

Share as much as you can about this on all of your social media platforms. Tag as many human rights activists and groups and news outlets you can think of to get the information out there. And if you have any friends or family in Tehran, let them know if they already don’t that people are mobilising to the university. Help the students!! Use the hashtags that are going around on social media (#mahsaamini, #jinaamini, #opiran, #iranprotests, to name a few).

I’m adding photos from instagram that give more information. Follow @1500tasvir on instagram for on the ground footage, @middleeastmatters, and @golfarahani to name a few.

[If someone has the time to ID these, you are more than welcome to.]

Russia moves to ban 'LGBT propaganda' among all ages
Reuters
Russian lawmakers backed a bill on Thursday that would expand an existing ban on the promotion of "LGBT propaganda" among children to includ

The bill, passed unanimously in the Duma, prohibits "any event or act deemed to promote homosexuality-online, in film, in books, in advertising or in public."

In Russia, the workshops I teach would be illegal.

I stand with Russian LGBTQI people.

Crowley over there sweating bullet's.

I love it,you did such a good job.

Yuu the scientific phenomenon

Summary: Yuu's literally from another world so thier biology is different to Twisted Wonderland's. There's a whole discussion about this on the #Biology au. So this fic is about Yuu's first trip to the hospital in Twisted Wonderland, and how the doctors react to our different biology.

Warnings: Blood tests, needles, mild swearing, I don't know how doctors do their procedures so this is not a reliable source of medical field information.

Enjoy!

You had broken your arm. You had broken your arm from one of Floyd's bone crushing squeezes. He had a surprised look on his face whilst you were screaming in agony because you are the only Human who has actually broken thier bones with only a little force from him. Just another reminder of how you are not from this world and that not even your body is able to take on certain tasks. The only silver lining to this is that there was a student livestreaming in the lounge at the time that acidentally caught the whole thing on camera, which made Crowley HAVE to give you proper medical attention lest he risk the school's reputation. So here you are. Your first trip to the hospital in Twisted Wonderland. Maybe you could also ask the doctor for treatment for all your other injuries from overblots. Although before you do that you need to come up with good excuses as to why you have each of them.

You arrive at the hospital and it already looks ten times better than the small nurses office at NRC. There were lots of staff helping the patients, Doctors discussing ailments, nurses doing thier shifts. This place looked professional. That reassured you were in good hands. You and two other students were sitting in the waiting room when your doctor came out to greet you.

"Good Afternoon you three. I'm Dr. Swarvoski. And your names are?"

"Silver"

"Trey Clover"

"Yuu"

"Now I've been informed that one of you broke thier arm. Is that correct?"

"Yes sir" Trey helped you stand up without moving your arm too much, "It's Yuu here, they had a bit of an overzealous friend willing to show thier love."

"Oh. I understand. Well right this way Yuu."

The doctor leads the way into the examination room. There are tools in there that you have never seen before. Some you're sure are not used in your world. That kind of makes you nervous all over again. How would you tell this man that you're literally from another world? Before you can get too lost in though however, Dr. Swarvoski calls you over to lie on the examination table. You comply to his instruction and lie facing up. Floyd and Jade had lended you thier dorm scarves to use as a makeshift sling for your arm. They did so after Azul got mad at them for technically injuring a customer. Dr. Swarvoski then let you know that he was going to remove the sling to look at your arm. He did so with such care. It was evident that he had done this many times before. Laying your arm by your side he got out the needles needed to extract blood. He told you to relax your arm and look away for this part. Once again you did what he said. Not wanting to look at this part. After the extraction he put cotton on the tiny hole in your arm from the needle and told you to hold it there for 5 minutes. After that he put a band-aid on to hold the cotton over the hole. He left to go look at the blood and see the results. You watched him walk out the room. Then turned to look at the ceiling. Your head was numb from all the pain you experienced. Man, that hurt like Hell. You just wanted to get better.

-

Dr. Swarvoski was checking your blood under a Twisted Wonderland's equivalent of a microscope. And immediately noticed something off. Your blood was different. It did not carry as much oxygen as a regular person. The red blood cells were smaller too. Did you have a birth defect or something? He will have to search your medical history for answers. He goes to his computer to look for your file only to find nothing. He searches through all the records and finds absolutely no history of you anywhere. Not even a birth certificate. Now he's worried. And confused. How is there nothing about this kid on any of thier databases. Not even the internet had answers aside from thier Magicam page. It's as though this kid just appeared out of nowhere.

Just more questions he'll have to ask Yuu. And probably report this to the authorities if he must. But right now he must give this child proper medical attention. On to the bone scan.

-

You had been lying on that table for almost 30 minutes now and the doctor was still in the other room. 'What was taking him so long?' You thought to yourself. 'Surely he doesn't need this much time to do a blood scan.' You don't see the point in doing anything else other than stare at the ceiling. As you start to dose off, Dr. Swarvoski comes back in with some news. He looked nervous. That was not a good sign you thought.

"Okay so Yuu... I went over your blood results and the blood... doesn't look the way it should."

Your heart rate picked up at that.

"What do you mean it doesn't look the way it should?" You asked.

"I'm not sure what it is. Even with my experience. So that is why I am going to leave you for a bit while I consult our hospital's Hematologist on this matter. Whilst I am away I will leave you with another doctor to do your bone scan. Just follow them and do what they say."

Another doctor had walked in during his explanation. The other doctor he was talking about you suspect. You nod your head, Dr. Swarvoski walked off and whispered something into the other doctor's ear before taking his leave. The other doctor walked over to you and introduced himself.

"Hello there. I am Dr. Asake and I will be doing your bone scan today. Dr. Swarvoski has entrusted me with your care in the meantime, as you probably have been told."

This man had the same chill energy as Dr. Swarvoski and you feel cencerity coming from those forest green eyes. It helped calm you down a little bit after what Dr. Swarvoski had told you about your blood. He opened a cupboard in the room and pulled out what looked like a cast. Then placed it around your broken arm. He had to lift it a little to get it under there so you winced a bit but he managed to get it on. You were then moved onto a bed with wheels and taken to the bone examination room. You noticed how they were called 'Bone Scans' and not 'X-rays'. That made you think: 'Does this world even have X-rays? They have something akin to it but I guess without the discovery of radiation, X-rays were never invented.

You are moved to underneath a machine, then Dr. Asake moves to a room next door with a glass window viewing into the room you're in. You're told to relax once again and the machine shines a big beam of light up and down your body. The results appear on the screen shortly after. The doctor looks at the results. Then his eyes widen. You see him look at you. Then back to the screen. Then back at you. Then back at the screen. This goes on for some time. He eventually pulls down a curtain to cover the window. Completely blocking him from your sight. 'Great. That's totally not worrying at all.' You think sarcastically. Now even more scared than before.

-

The doctor had to process what he was looking at right now. Your skeleton was there on the screen but the bones did not look the way they should. They were thinner than regular bones. No doubt weaker too. No wonder you had broken your arm. Yet you still looked like a healthy teenager though. He noticed that you had suffered other injuries as well. There was evidence of previously broken and dislocated limbs that hadn't healed properly. He was going to have to look into this soon. However what perplexed him the most is the strange formation of sorts on your intestines. It looked like a skin tag, only on an organ. They will have to have that removed. That couldn't possibly be good for you. In the meantime he must focus on your current injury. That broken arm needs to be fixed.

He goes back into the room you are in gives you some medicine, then your arm starts feel numb. That must have been a painkiller because you don't feel sore when he moves your broken bones back into place in your arm. That must have been a magic painkiller. The cast is now adjusted and the doctor reinforces it with medical tape. He takes out a sling, pulls it over your head and puts your cast in the sleeve. After fastening the strap he lets go. You breathe a sigh of relief after the treatment. You feel better already. The doctor tells you to wait there again and to not leave the room. After he leaves, you sit there and contemplate getting up before you eventually do so. Looking around the room you spy all the various medical tools used by the doctors. You start to notice that half of these are not for human medical treatment, but for beastmen, mer and fae too. One thing that you were sure was for humans though was the skeleton model in the corner. It was life sized, so it stood slightly taller than you. But on a closer inspection you realized that the bones were thicker than a regular humans bones. Or at least, had thicker bones than a human from your world. There were other differences as well. Such as there was no appendix amongst the plastic organs inside it. 'This is probably for something else', You thought, 'It is very likely that this is meant to show a type of disease or something. After all. Why would humans not have an appendix?'

-

"Dr. Swarvoski!" Dr. Asake quickly caught the other doctor's attention. "There is something wrong with Yuu's bones and organs." This made the other doctor even more worried. First the blood, now this? There is definitely something going on with this kid, but what? "What is the problem with thier bones?" He asked.

"They are far smaller and more brittle than a regular person's. Yet they look healthy on the outside aside from some malnourishment."

"I ran some tests on the blood with the assistance of the Hematologist and there is no trace of any disease or viruses in the system. This is indeed perplexing."

"You were right when you said this was a special patient. I have never seen anything like this before. And how is this kid even still alive?! These bones are so weak that if a regular student were to so much as just punch them they would be dead."

"This is indeed troubling." He looked down and frowned. "I didn't manage to find any information about this child anywhere either. It's as if they don't exist."

"Wait. WHAT?!"

"This child is nowhere on the census. The only evidence of them existing is their Magicam account. And that's no substitute for an official document."

"This has just escalated so quickly! What can we do?!"

"Well for now let's just show them the results. They deserve to know."

"Alright".

-

The two doctors were showing you the pictures. You took a look at them only to find that what you were looking at were pictures of a normal human's anatomy. Yet they still told you that it was not normal. They then showed you pictures of what a "Normal human's" anatomy looked like. What baffled you about these pictures is that everything was much bigger. Denser bones, wider blood cells. Is this what a normal person's body is supposed to be like in Twisted Wonderland? As scary as it was, it did explain a lot. Even Epel and Riddle- people who are considered BELOW average strength wise- have accidentally caused you bodily harm during your school year. You filled up with a feeling of dread after this revelation. Dr Swarovski could see it immediately so he comforted you. You smiled and nodded but it still wasn't enough to make you feel better.

-

A/N: This turned out way longer than expected so I've decided to split this fic into two parts. Part two will come soon. I apologize for any mistakes.

Your Speckled Face

Summary: Just two bros, two home slices, two peas in a pod I swear....

Notes: Reader will be referred to as Yuu and uses he/him in this!

 Your Speckled Face

Ace was pretty.

Pretty stupid, pretty irritating, pretty in the sense that his skin was smooth and rough and told everything and nothing about him. How, when the pads of his fingers pressed down upon Ace's skin the boy would rear back on his heels, scoff, and shove him.

Ace was pretty.

Pretty warm and pretty lively, like the nightlight Yuu had treasured as a child—to chase away the shadows of his room and the monsters that curled under his bed and awaited the moment his feet would kick out the covers and finally drag him under.

Pretty. Pretty in the way Yuu wished boys couldn't—shouldn't be. Fingers clenching when his friends would tease and prick at him— made him feel awkward in the skin his skin, made the tightness in his chest so unbearable he'd found himself balled up in the corner of the shower an overwhelming sense of something akin to dread—the fear your life was slipping from your fingers, that you were slowly losing pieces of you to an unknown force.

That the world felt like it was ending and beginning and you'd be the only one there to witness such a beautiful and horrific thing.

Ace was pretty in a way that jerked tears, that made Yuu want to weep—keel over and cry because this overwhelming feeling had reached a fever pitch, and that the butterflies in his chest had been flies slowly eating at him.

Ace was pretty because all these bitter and sweet emotions. The taste of passion strong enough that it coated Yuu's mouth and dashed all the things he'd wanted to say. An ache so great it sent him into frenzy trying to placate that burning under his heart—so close to being painful, so close to feeling good.

Finger pads drag against skin, Ace snickers—and its nothing short of irritating how easy it is for the cherry eyed boy to send his heart into a frenzy.

"I should get a marker and connect all those dots in your face."

"Go to hell,"

"'S not my fault you have connect the dots for skin." Ace huffs, pulling away taking a piece of Yuu with him. Red eyes search the coffee table, a dusty old thing that is surprisingly still holding its weight and then some with all these books spread across it—some they'd struggled to carry.

"Oh no—" Yuu leans away when he realizes that Ace had found what he was looking for—a marker, red like the color of Ace's eyes. "You are not marking my face."

"C'monn." The boy uncaps the marker, a smirk playing on his lips. "I won't do anything weird."

"I've seen what you wrote on Jack's face when he fell asleep first, fuck no."

"Okay—" Ace attempts to inch closer, assuming Yuu's eyes are on the tip of the marker rather than him. "And he got me back."

"He gave you a week long black eye..."

Cherry eyes roll. "Exactly, he got me back."

"You're not putting weird messages on my face, Ace."

"Who said I was gonna do that?" The floorboards creak at the sound of Ace rocking on his knees. "What if I just wanted to connect the dots on your face?"

"Im gonna connect my fist with your face if I look in the mirror—" Yuu nearly chokes on his spit—and words—when Ace nearly crawls onto him. Body slotting into his in a way that made Yuu want to shove him away and call this study session off.

He doesn't think his heart can take anymore.

Jolting at the cold nib of the marker, brown eyes flit to the side in an effort to ignore just how close Ace is or the warmth of his hand heating the skin of his face and chin as he tilts Yuu's head in a way to get a better look.

Yuu feels as though he's ready to burst at the seems and leave nothing behind. The sheer intensity of his gaze has teeth gritting and nails digging crescents into palms.

He can't do it.

He can't look at Ace, it's too much.

The drag of marker, the light puffs of breath being pushed through gritted teeth, the warmth of Ace that heats his chest and the pressure of his arm as his wrist commands each movement.

It's too much.

Yuu wants to burst into tears. Wants this mounting passion and gnawing ache to go away that it feels near desperate how his eyes flit to every bit of the living room and focuses on each minute detail.

"Ace..." He calls, though it feels more strained than anything. Yuu doesn't know what he's even asking for but it settles on his tongue all the same and that's enough for him

"Mn?"

"You..." The boy rasps out. "You're... heavy."

The huff of breath that Ace takes dances against prickling skin and Yuu thanks every higher being that he isn't standing, for his knees would buckle under the absolute weight of the situation.

"I'm almost done." A swipe of wetness, near sticky, drags against Yuu's bottom lip and it takes a moment for him to realize it wasn't a dream.

Ace had dragged the marker nib against his lips.

And like that, the boy pulls away allowing the warmth and closeness that caused his body to tense up to dissipate into the cool air of Ramshackle.

Ears pick up on the sound of the marker cap settling and slowly but surely, Yuu lifts up to peer at Ace in near awe.

"What? Stop being dramatic we have to study for this test or Crewel is gonna kill us."

"I..." Yuu clears his throat. Willing the giddiness of knowing his feelings might be reciprocated down into the deepest parts of him. "Yeah..."
