He Had Been Avoiding Her. Aegon Knew That It Was Rather Cruel To Avoid Alerie, When They Had Once Been
He had been avoiding her. Aegon knew that it was rather cruel to avoid Alerie, when they had once been so close, but he did not know if he could come to terms with the changes that he had always been told that she would go through once his 'bad influence' was gone. More than that, was they were now both married and parents, parent to be in her case, and that certainly changed a person even more. If the closest person to him was suddenly more like their mother, cold and distant, he did not want to come to that reality just yet. No, it was best in his mind to keep up the illusion that she was still just as rambunctious as he was, that nothing had changed. The longer he avoided her, the longer he could pretend that nothing was different.
Light suddenly assaulted his eyelids, and he let out a groan. Hands go to his his face, the heels placed in a desperate attempt to keep the light at bay as he let out a string of swear words. After several expletives in the Common tongue the prince slipped into Valyrian. "Qogralbar, qrugh konir sagon jehikagrī" Fuck, shit that is bright. He froze at the sound of a feminine voice. There was no escaping her now, not that he ever could have. He never had been able to escape her when she wanted to be near him, and he was certain that might have had a hand in her being sent away. "Is there a reason that you chose to blind me?"

Her steps echoed in the halls of Maegor's holdfast. She was on a mission. A week had passed since Alerie's arrival back in King's Landing. She took up residency of her old room's again, now decorated with oil paintings she had made of Oldtown - the biggest one being the view out of the Hightower, Tessarion throwing a large shadow on the Starry Sept. Somewhere in her luggage, a drawing of Daeron is hidden and yet to be finished. Barely anything reminded of her time at the Arbor - not because she did not paint the landscapes and the sea, but simply because she wished not to be reminded of it when she was finally home. Even if home started looking eerily like the Hightower - the household dressed in green, the seven-pointed star looking down upon the king and his wife, who made a mockery of the words by marrying Aegon and Helaena. Alerie appreciated the irony.
Helaena and her had spent almost every day together, the former sharing remedies for common pregancy ailments - like for the stretchmarks that were starting to marr the skin of her considerable baby bump. Alerie had not seen Aegon yet and she finally found the strength to remedy that. In all honesty, she had been avoiding him and she imagined that he had been doing the same. She slipped into his room. The air was stuffy and the room was darkened. As her eyes adjusted to the sparse light, she could make out a sleeping form on the bed. Perfect. She ripped open the curtains and opened the window. When she heard groans and movement behind her, she turned around with a slight smirk and spoke: "You missed breakfast."

Domeric looked up at the sound of the girl's voice, continuing to adjust the strapping that he was working on for his saddle. He would be riding in the tourney, even though he did not think that a Northerner was what had come to mind for many for one of Robert Arryn's Brotherhood of Winged Knights. "So I have heard, though I cannot speak as to the truth of their words in regards to my brother. I have never had the chance to meet him, after all. Perhaps if I had returned the the Dreadfort... I think father has some bride in mind for me, though he does not share that with me." His pale eyes flicked over her, wondering what it was about her that left him curious. "I hear that your own father has a husband in mind for you, have you had a chance to meet him?"

just to make everyone aware, my wife has severe social anxiety and so does not reach out to others first, in the eleven years i have known her i have only seen her reach out first to another person (irl or Tumblr) once. that was after six months of being mutuals, and solely due to my last post prior to an unannounced hiatus making her think i had k*lled myself due to mentioning missing my psychiatrist appt. the psychiatrist appt was for adhd meds, but she didn't know that at the time, since then she's had mutuals block her for liking mutual only starter calls despite them having followed her first, so don't think she's unapproachable, she's just been hurt too much in the past to feel comfortable reaching out first
