@vowmaker liked for a starter and gets Aegon

Rage and grief and shame. The emotions mixed inside of him, threatening to boil over as he paced the throne room. He could not, would not, forgive this. He would not rest until his sister and uncle burned for what they had done. A pang of loss and grief over whelmed him and he stopped in his traces to wrap his arms around himself, desperate to stop the sob that wracked his whole being.

He could still hear the wails of grief of his mother and his sister-wife, the sound of dragons in the distance roaring as if they knew the grief that their riders felt. The sound of the door opening drew his attention, and he turned his head to the entrance. The sight of Ser Criston, something that once filled him with dread as it usually meant some lecture or lesson, caused his heart to stop.

"Did you find them?" He straighten and made his way to the new Lord Commander of his Kingsguard. He hoped the man had caught both the culprits, for he wanted both men to suffer for the loss of his son. He would not rest until he knew that the ones who had killed Jaehaerys, and could easily return to do the same to Jaehaera and Maelor, were in the Black Cells or dead. "I want my sister's catspaws caught."

@righteousmen liked for a starter and gets Aegon II for Helaena with angst because I was given permission and left unsupervised

No, no, no, no, no. This cannot be. Aegon raced up the steps, skipping two or three at a time to speed his ascent. He kept repeating under his breath, "This can't be real, it can't." as he ran. His heart was in his throat and he felt as if he was going to be sick. He had immediately ran for the children's room the moment he had be told. His son, blood of his blood, his child...

He tore open the door to the room where his children slept and violet eyes go wide as tears well in them. The sound of wet dripping, eyes slowly following the crimson droplets that were the source. Aegon was not prepared for the sight that awaited, the little body in his son's bed... without a head. The king fell to his knees as a cry left him, loud and incoherent, the sound of grief that could not be spoken into words, more the sound of a dragon than a man.

The world was a blur around him, the sounds around him muffled as he stumbled to his feet. He was uncertain when he had cradled his son's body, when he had crawled the distance from where he had fallen to Jaehaerys's bed. Servants moved out of his way as he walked numbly through the keep, to where he knew not. He hadn't even realized that he made his way to his mother's chambers until he laid eyes upon Helaena.

He knelt beside where she sat on the floor, his voice hoarse from his screaming. "Did they hurt you or Jaehaera?"

He couldn't wrap his head around how it had happened. How the attackers had gotten in, how they had gotten past guards that should have been posted around any royal chambers. They were at war, how could anyone have let someone with ill intent into the castle, how could they have gotten so far. Why had it been Jaehaerys? Surely if his sister had wanted to kill anyone for taking the throne it should have been him, not his son.

I got my son killed... I should have just ended it before Mother and Grandsire could crown me... He found himself thinking. He still remembers how the White Worm had found him the night his father had passed. He had been wandering Flea's Bottom, contemplating taking a boat out of the Seven Kingdoms, to make life easier on everyone. He mostly ignores you, except when he's drunk. Helaena's words still had haunted him when he had started his wanderings that night.

He's brought back to the present, to the nightmare, when Helaena spoke and he felt his blood run cold as she spoke words that should not have been true, but she was not one to lie no matter how cryptic she could be at times. There were no guards. There should have been guards, he turned to look at her, to ask where the guards had been when he sees the blood on his wife, still running from her neck to her gown.

His vision narrowed and he could no longer see anyone around them, they had harmed Helaena. The villains had harmed Helaena and killed Jaehaerys. Lilac eyes scan over her and their daughter, looking for any other trace that either had been harmed and relief that they were otherwise unaccosted did not settle the pit that had formed in his stomach. A pit of rage, grief and another feeling that unsettled him and he could not name. A feeling that he had felt for a long time, but had never been able to put to words.

"Helaena... did they hurt you went they were looking for Jaehaerys?" He asked, grabbing a cloth from one of the servants that had surrounded them and placing it against her neck. "Sorry, I have to stop the bleeding... so we can determine the extent." Once they had addressed her injury they could start the search for the scoundrels, who likely had his son's head in their possession...

She can still hear the rat catcher's hoarse voice in her ear. Still feel his breath on her cheek. The smell of him, of ale and animal, filling her nostrils. Jaehaera is still cradled in her arms, held firmly to her breast as if she were a much younger child then that of seven. She's vaguely aware of a commotion to her right, the soft clink of armor beign reassembled and the swish of her mother's robe. She hears her mother crying out for guards. She hears Ser Criston rush from the room.

"Too late." she breathes into her daughters hair. "Too late. Too late. Too late."

Alicent kneels next to her and tries to pry the girl from her arms but Helaena hisses nad turns away, clinging to the child even tighter. Jaehaera squirms a bit but a soft "Shh shh, shh," From Helaena and more rocking seems to soothe her. She likes to rock. Helaena had liked to rock too.

The screaming barely registers, it isn't her mother. Nor Aemond - he wouldnt' scream, not like that anyway, no, this is a primal sound. A sound she recognizes though she cannot make it herself. The sound of a parent loosing a child. Minutes later when Aegon pushes through the door Helaena's eyes focus again. He's covered in blood. He reeks of it. It makes her breath catch, her grip on Jaehaera tightening, but he means them no harm.

She swallows and shakes her head, unaware of the small cut on her neck or the blood stain on the collar of her night dress. She swallows hard and whimpers. "They just - they just walked in. There were no guards."

He sat in his rooms by the fire, ignoring the destroyed model behind him that the servants had not had a chance to fully remove from the apartments. Aegon choked back tears, not wanting to cry uncontrollably again, sliding the ring on his pinky around on the finger, trying to focus on the metal as if it grounded him to the world. He just needed to focus on anything other than the gnawing pit in his stomach.

Sobs wracked his body, choking on air, unable to breathe through his nose, pressure building in his sinuses as his nose clogged up. At the sound of footsteps entering his rooms he stilled as much as he possibly could and turned to look at who it was that had entered, intending to tell them to fuck off. The words died in his mouth when he saw Helaena, the funeral was over then, their son was no longer a spectacle to be paraded through the streets.

Violet eyes that were reddened from the tears follow her every move, and he was silent as she sat opposite him. He took deep breaths, slowing the sobs until he stopped crying. Aegon then looked at her and waited. Waited for her to blame him, waited for her to tell him that he should have been in the funeral procession with her regardless of what their grandfather wanted. Waited for her to call him weak, waited for her to say it was all his fault.

The king did not expect the words that came out of his wife's mouth. Baby.... they were having another baby... What should have been a joyous moment was tinged with loss and he slid from his chair to his knees. "You are sure?" he choked out, his voice hoarse from the hours he had spent yelling over the last few days.

It was undignified of a king, but he moved along the floor on his knees until he was in front of her chair. "Can I...." He looked up at her, waiting for permission to touch her. He was unsure if his touch would be welcome, with what she'd been made to endure only hours before... if it was the same day, he could not even be sure of that.

@neithergodsnormen For Helaena and Aegon.

Helaena pushes the door open to Aegon's apartments, she'd changed from the funeral, and Jaehaera was with her now. She was loathe to leave her, and they'd practically had to pry her away from the child for the funeral procession. Now that it was over, she wouldn't be leaving her child for anything - even this private conversation with her husband.

She lifted Jaehaera onto the bed and produced a few wooden animal toys from her dress. "Stay here while I talk to Papa." She instructs, pressing a kiss to the blonde headed child and turning to the chair where her husband sits. She takes the seat on the other side of the fire and balls some of her skirt in her hand, rubbing the beadwork with the back of her thumb.

She doesn't know how to say it, when she'd been carrying the twins she'd been so sick she hadn't been able to hide it. THe weight of that first difficult pregnancy sending her to her bed with mother's stomach for weeks - though she wouldn't have known she was more then ill had her mother not been the one to realize she hadn't bled. They'd been much closer then, her mother checking in on her most days, but after she fell pregnant that had stopped. Her mother didn't watch her blood so closely now, but Helaena did.

"We - We're - we're going to - there's -" Tears well in her eyes, unable to find the words and frustrated with herself, so she reaches for her stomach and gasps out. "Baby,"

He had been avoiding her. Aegon knew that it was rather cruel to avoid Alerie, when they had once been so close, but he did not know if he could come to terms with the changes that he had always been told that she would go through once his 'bad influence' was gone. More than that, was they were now both married and parents, parent to be in her case, and that certainly changed a person even more. If the closest person to him was suddenly more like their mother, cold and distant, he did not want to come to that reality just yet. No, it was best in his mind to keep up the illusion that she was still just as rambunctious as he was, that nothing had changed. The longer he avoided her, the longer he could pretend that nothing was different.

Light suddenly assaulted his eyelids, and he let out a groan. Hands go to his his face, the heels placed in a desperate attempt to keep the light at bay as he let out a string of swear words. After several expletives in the Common tongue the prince slipped into Valyrian. "Qogralbar, qrugh konir sagon jehikagrΔ«" Fuck, shit that is bright. He froze at the sound of a feminine voice. There was no escaping her now, not that he ever could have. He never had been able to escape her when she wanted to be near him, and he was certain that might have had a hand in her being sent away. "Is there a reason that you chose to blind me?"

Her steps echoed in the halls of Maegor's holdfast. She was on a mission. A week had passed since Alerie's arrival back in King's Landing. She took up residency of her old room's again, now decorated with oil paintings she had made of Oldtown - the biggest one being the view out of the Hightower, Tessarion throwing a large shadow on the Starry Sept. Somewhere in her luggage, a drawing of Daeron is hidden and yet to be finished. Barely anything reminded of her time at the Arbor - not because she did not paint the landscapes and the sea, but simply because she wished not to be reminded of it when she was finally home. Even if home started looking eerily like the Hightower - the household dressed in green, the seven-pointed star looking down upon the king and his wife, who made a mockery of the words by marrying Aegon and Helaena. Alerie appreciated the irony.

Helaena and her had spent almost every day together, the former sharing remedies for common pregancy ailments - like for the stretchmarks that were starting to marr the skin of her considerable baby bump. Alerie had not seen Aegon yet and she finally found the strength to remedy that. In all honesty, she had been avoiding him and she imagined that he had been doing the same. She slipped into his room. The air was stuffy and the room was darkened. As her eyes adjusted to the sparse light, she could make out a sleeping form on the bed. Perfect. She ripped open the curtains and opened the window. When she heard groans and movement behind her, she turned around with a slight smirk and spoke: "You missed breakfast."

Aegon let out guttural groan as he thrusts into her when she said his name. The prince had been coming to the Gilded Doe for some time, and Amyra had quickly gotten all of his attention. His visits to any other location on the Street of Silk had ceased the first night he had been allowed to bed Amyra.

He knew that he was not the only man who bought his pleasure from her, but each time he took her it felt like no one else in the world mattered. She made him feel WANTED, and while that was her job it still made him desire to be near her. Aegon even liked to convince himself that she also found release from their time together.

Feeling her shake against him he rolled his hips harder, a moan of her name leaving him as he quickens his pace. He was ever closer to reaching his peak, as she tightened around his cock.

❝ i love being inside you. ❞ - Aegon to Amyra asked by @neithergodsnormen

Amyra laughed as much as she could, though most of her breath was reserved for the moans spilling from her lips. Aegon had her on her bed, legs wrapped around his waist and hands dragging down his back. This wasn't their first time together but every time he always seemed to last longer or push harder.

Groaning softly she arched her hips into him, feeling her body tighten around him. "Gods Aegon." She moaned into his ear, nails digging into his skin as she shook slightly. Amyra didn't often find her own release with her work, but even without that she enjoyed the act.

A knife had been held to his wife's throat, the necklace he had given her taken... this was an attack on his family, and attack on him and he would see to it that the villains would pay. They could have easily killed both the twins, and likely would have he realizes, if they had not threatened Helaena so. His blood runs cold as he thinks upon how he could have easily lost all three of them.

He never would have thought that he would care this much for Helaena, especially when they had first been betrothed, and that this was the moment for him to realize the care he had for her tore at his heart in his chest. It was not fair, for their child to be taken from them, for their son... and it easily could have been both. That thought haunted him as he tended to her neck, checking now and then to see if the bleeding had yet stopped.

"I hate to ask it... if you saw him again... would you know him? If you can't that's okay." There was a chance the catspaw would be lingering, and he could have all of the rat catchers detained. Perhaps it would be best to get cats... they could easily take care of the rats and there was no chance of them attacking his family in the night, at least not in a way that resulted in more than a scratch or maybe a bite. He heard the muffled noise of someone near, scolding him and he assumed it might be their mother telling him off for asking her to gaze on the man who attacked her and killed their son. "Was it just the one?"

She isn't aware of the room around her, of mother, of the guards, the only thing she can really see is Aegon covered in blood, kneeling in front of her. She lets him press the cloth to her neck unflinchingly, she doesn't mind his touch now, it grounds her to him, the same way clutching Jaehaera reminds her of her presence.

"H-he had a knife." She murmurs, her violet eyes locked on Aegon's lilac ones. She feels the tiny hand of their daughter reach up to her neck, groaping for something and then the little girl whimpers when she doesn't find it. The necklace, the one Aegon had given her after the twins were born with the two emeralds. "Th-they took the necklace." She likely has a mark on the back of her neck from having it pulled off, but she doesn't feel any pain right now.

"I-I thought they came for the rats." She says pleadingly. "But he was dirty, dirtier then the usual rat catcher." She had told him that mornign she was afraid of the rats, but she hadn't seen any of the usual rat catchers. It wasn't unusual really, the ones in the royal apartments dressed well and were kept clean, and laid their traps at night. She would've never seen them if it hadn't been for her custom of checking on the children before going to her chamber or Aegons, but she did know a few of them. "If I hadn't gone to check on the children..."

They'd both be dead.

"Where Do I Even Start..." He Looked At His Cousin, More An Aunt To Him And His Siblings In Truth And

"Where do I even start..." He looked at his cousin, more an aunt to him and his siblings in truth and played with the ring on his finger, twisting it as he oft did when he was unsure of the feelings that built inside of him. He never had known how to approach communication with Helaena, they were so vastly different and had never had the chance to learn who they were as their own people, being married so young. "How did Lord Corlys approach you when you lost Ser Laenor? Is there any words that could be of comfort to Helaena as well?"

"I think the queen could use a little comforting, Your Grace." It was bold of Rhaenys to say such things, but upon seeing Helaena after the funeral procession she had been forced to participate in, she could see that the younger woman was suffering; suffering as only a mother who had just lost a child could. All while Aegon seemed inclined to ignore her, more intent on vengeance than on sharing Helaena's grief. And now was not the time for them to appear more divided than they already were by nature alone. "You should go to her."

Aegon was more surprised when she stroked his hair, knowing just how much it meant that she had initiated the touch. He could not remember the last time she had been the first to touch, and lilac eyes look up at her as he listens to her words. If her time was two weeks ago... he wondered how far that would make her now, in how many moons they could expect their child.

"Nyke nΕ«māzma naejot sagon biare, yn iksan mundagon iΔ“drosa tolΔ«." I mean to be happy, but I am sad still too. He softly whispers the words, despite his horrible pronunciation, he found himself hoping to get his point across, not wanting Jaehaera to understand his words. He prayed she had not yet started her lessons on Valyrian... the feeling he could not identify sat in his chest once more when he realized he did not know if their children had started their lessons.

"Nyke kostagon daor qringaomagon naejot mΔ«sagon ao arlΔ«." I can't fail to protect you again. His thumb gently rubs over the fabric that separated his hand from her stomach. He leaned forward, resting his forehead against her belly, closing his eyes as he did so, wondering how fast this babe would grow and if it would be more than one again. "You need a guard, all three of you. I was lax before, not anymore." Lilac eyes flicked up to her as he raised his head. "I will see a personal guard named to you by the end of the week, to ensure your continued safety."

Helaena waited patiently for Aegon's cries to quiet, unsure of how to comfort him. Her heart hurt, seeing him cry, she wanted to reach out, maybe stroke his hair like she had the twins when they cried, but she restrains herself. When his red rimmed violet eyes finally made their way over to her she saw the hurt. THe hurt that so mirrored her own, but she could not cry, not anymore, she'd turned that part of her off for the funeral procession and she found now she could not turn it back on.

He looks as surprised as she'd been. She hadn't been sure, not truly sure, until that afternoon. She'd taken a moment to relieve herself, and realized with a start, that her bloods had not come in some time. A feeling had washed over her then one of heavy certainty, the weight in her abdoment seeming ti pulse. "Y-yes." She manages. "I-I'm sure."

She watches him move along the floor towards her, his movement is so strange for him. He does not approach her in this way usually, but the loss they'd suffered had shaken them both. Looking down at him she reaches out and in a rare moment touches him first. She strokes some of his hair out of his face, then reaches for his hand and presses it to her stomach. "My time was two weeks ago. I'm sure."

He listens to Helaena patiently, ignoring their mother's words, and he suspected that she was growing more frustrated with him when Helaena started to speak. His heart broke when he was told that their son was afraid of the dark, which meant that he likely was even more terrified in his final moments. A darkened room meant that she would not know them by sight, but her recounting was still more useful that one could have imagined.

There had been two. There were two villains that had harmed his wife and killed their son, could have murdered their daughter. His blood chilled, as the memory of looking at two men crossing the throne room as he drank with his friends came to mind. He had been too drunk and it was too dark for them to recall them, but they could have easily been the murderers. That unknown sour feeling settled in his chest again.

The rats came out of the walls. The words made him still as she rocked against him, and her words of being afraid of rats rang through his mind. His lilac eyes watch her, wondering what other things she has said that he found strange were actually something that came to pass. Aegon's hand moved away from her neck, relief filling him when he saw the bleeding had stopped, and he shifted how he was sitting. "Thank you, Helaena." He leaned to press his forehead to hers for a moment. "Ser Criston... take some men and go look for these villains, they are NOT to escape." His attention returned to Helaena. "Come, you and Jaehaera will be safe in my rooms."

Helaena stops rocking, Aegon's words grounding her to him as much as his touch does. Would she recognize them? It had been dark, only the light of the fire illuminating the room, the last candle on the night stand having been put out by the nurse when Jaehaerys fell asleep. He didn't like the dark. "J-Jaehaerys - he didn't - he was afraid of the dark." She whispers. "But - but I had the nurse put out the candle so it wouldn't catch the bed clothes."

She feared one of the children's bed clothing being caught on the candle flame. They were a rambunctious pair, it could happen easily and quickly, but her paranoia about it had meant the bedroom was dark when the men came in. "I-I didn't - I didn't see their faces, but there were two. One was taller then the other. The - the one with the knife at my throat smelled like an animal."

She could hear mother going on about something and for a moment her eyes flick back to Mother and Cole. Her children were unprotected because of her mother's indiscretion. She clutches Jaehaera tighter and edges closer to Aegon and starts rocking again, this time nudging against him as she does. "Th-the rats came out of the walls."

He looks over the dagger in his hands as he reflects on his relationship with Helaena and what he would like in regards to it. "I want to understand her better, to know how she thinks, how she feels. I want to know better why I get these feelings when I look at her with our daughter, when I think of the child that we are now expecting. I want to hold her close and keep her safe from any other danger. I want... I want to know what makes my Queen happy, what makes her smile, what makes her sad. I want to learn how to love HER as a person and not just as my wife."

a wide grin is across his features, for there was nothing more exhilarating then flying. being in the air, not sure where their flight will take them. SUNFYRE had chosen him, and AEGON could not think of a world where they were not bonded. he may not be the one that was meant to wear a crown, but he had the MOST BEAUTIFUL DRAGON in return. he would chose sunfyre any day. when he hears sunfyre's trill, aegon grips a little tighter on the saddle, as he has learned that means they are in for some fun. a whoop of joy leaves him as they go through the clouds. laughter rings from his lips, and the prince leans down to place a hand on the scales of sunfyre's shoulder, feeling it move as his wings do. "Faster, Sunfyre." he was not good with high valyrian, his pronounciation was all wrong, but they were learning how to communicate all the same.

the sky was clear today, the sun's rays flashing off of SUNFYRE'S scales. he loves days out like this, where there was nothing to do but fly with AEGON. they were still LEARNING each other, as all young dragons and their riders must, but sunfyre was learning quickly. he flies to the left, past a bit of the city proper, and onwards towards the red keep, a little trill of excitement coming as he swoops down and then up through a grouping of clouds. below him, perhaps some people were staring, shouting at the GOLDEN PRINCE'S appearance, and sunfyre lets out a small screech. half greeting, and maybe, perhaps, half boasting.

a starter for @neithergodsnormen from here !
