Its Unsettling To See Hindus Being Largely Silent Or Indifferent About The Horrors Being Unleashed On
It’s unsettling to see Hindus being largely silent or indifferent about the horrors being unleashed on them for centuries. One wonders why there’s no memorial for the Hindu genocide of the last 1,000 years. Maybe centuries of mass killings have made them indifferent towards their own plight. Being a witness to untold persecution and conditioned by unending miseries and losses, they seem to have stopped reacting the way others would do. Maybe Hindus could survive those pogroms because they just stopped being affected by them.
We, as a nation, have not yet examined the true nature of those killings. In fact, we tend to ignore, if not hide, such inconvenient truths. Till that happens, we as a nation won’t be able to take due lessons from history. And when one fails to learn from the past, one tends to stand with one’s own nemesis. The recent mourning over the British Queen’s death is a case in point ~
I was looking into the condition of Hindu minorities in Pakistan and you won’t believe how many cases I found where Hindu women have been the biggest targets of the persecutors. Why have we abandoned them?
Tell me how many of you know about Daya Bheel? This happened just 2 years ago and I’m sure 99.9% of hindus in India have never heard of that name.

Why don’t we talk more and raise awareness about what is happening to hindus in Pakistan? Why are we always the most uncared for? Our genocides don’t even get recognition because we simply do not care about our past…can you imagine THAT MANY PEOPLE DIED IN THESE MUGHAL POGROMS AND YET HINDU GENOCIDE IS UNRECOGNISED?? THAT MANY INDIANS PERISHED UNDER THE BRITISH AND YET BRITAIN REMAINS UNSCATHED? CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT HINDUS ARE BEING BRUTALLY PERSECUTED IN PAKISTAN AND BANGLADESH AND YET INDIANS AND HINDUS WORLDWIDE HARDLY SPEAK ABOUT IT?
sometimes I’m so ashamed to belong to this community. No wonder we get treated like this because 1 billion Hindus couldn’t care less about each other.
YES THERE ARE THAT MANY HINDUS STILL ALIVE IN INDIA AND YET WE CANNOT EVEN GET OUR HISTORY RIGHT OR GET UNITED AND STAND AGAINST HINDUPHOBIA.
And no wonder people think that hinduphobic is a made up word and that hinduphobia doesn’t exist.
I’m so scared for the future of this religion and it’s followers because Hindus never learn. You don’t even have the strength that your ancestors had to fight tyranny. Y’all are just so privileged and naïve it’s not even funny.
Please wake up and take a stand for your community instead of taking things for granted. The only difference between you and them is that our parents were born on a different sides of the border. It could’ve been you.
Speak up. Support pages and websites talking about Hindu minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Stand up for other indigenous people being persecuted around the globe. But at least stand up for Dharma..
That’s the least you can do to pay back the debt to your ancestors.

I'm just going to say that student movements are always powerful because governments fear students. What did they expect from Columbia University? Part of their culture was that students did the same years ago when the Vietnam war was taking place! Look really close to these movements because I feel this is the beginning of the end.

Hey remember when Queen Elizabeth died and all of Tumblr had a collective crab rave and the tags were trending because fuck imperialism and colonialism? Yeah where's the same energy for President Raisi......
Notice how they never unmasked any of the Proud Boys?
If you wouldn't go to someone for advice, don't take their criticism either.
