Hongjoong liked that San was pathetic. Sometimes he put up an assertive front, but it always crumbled at the slightest of pressure. He'd get teased, try to fight back, then submit when the other didn't take him seriously. Hongjoong didn't taunt or tease much outside of the bedroom, and enjoyed the show whenever somebody else played around with San. He never stood up for himself. It was hot.
