QUESTION!

Are there people hear who go into reading or were obsessed with babymouse as a child? Like the book series babymouse. Cuz my four yr old niece ask me to read for her and it just got me thinking. Like did anyone else so obsessed with it or was I just weird.

Cuz I hear people talking about diary of a wimpy kid and captain underpants and y'know fairy books but no one talks about babymouse.

I just want to know like, was it as popular as those other books or not. Or if anyone has never heard of it. Like I didn't know the captain underwear guy was like a thing until highschool maybe.

This was the first one I read. I liked the dragon.

Disney Streaming Services Brings "Hulu's Animayhem" Experience to SDCC With 20th Television Animation

Disney is bringing it to life through a massive fan experience that invites attendees to the 2-D world of some of its most famous adult animations. They're calling it "Hulu Animayhem: Enter the 2nd Dimension".

Hulu Animayhem: Enter the 2nd Dimension will be in the Bayfront Parking Lot July 20-23, and allows fans of Futurama, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, and more to interact with their favorite animated series and characters from 20th Television Animation.

“Solar Opposites”: INSIDE THE WALL (Hulu Original/20th Television Animation)

ZAP! Yumyulack has done it again. As fans enter the 2nd Dimension, they find themselves shrunken down and tossed into the beloved Wall, in this larger than life experience.

Season four premieres on August 14, 2023 with 10 episodes, followed by a Valentine’s Day Special coming in 2024.

“The Great North”: ALANIS BOREALIS (FOX/20th Television Animation)

Fans will step into the expansive Alaskian landscape to join Judy Tobin as she asks for life advice from her imaginary best friend and famed 90’s singer/songwriter Alanis Morrisette. A projected Alanis constellation will appear in the sky and fans can witness the fun, playful interactions between the characters (and maybe even pick up some tips themselves!). 

“American Dad”: HALL OF INFINITE ROGERS (FOX/20th Television Animation)

The CIA’s most wanted alien has endless disguises. As fans continue to make their way through the experience, they get a look into just how infinite Roger’s collection of disguises really is!

Step on Stewie’s infamous Time Travel Pad and take a trip through the 2nd Dimension with this unique photo opp.

“Archer”: WALL OF AGENCY HEROS (FX)

Playing homage to Archer’s opening credits, fans can step in to join the cast in this iconic photo moment.

Not people saying “Fandom has always been like this” in that vent post I made. No. It hasn’t always been like this. Fandom has NEVER been like this until recently and if you were in fandom pre-tumblr purge, pre-twitter, pre-netflix boom, pre-tiktok….then you would fucking know it was nothing like this.

We still had the drive to create. We still sold prints and charms and made zines…but it was never like this.

The introduction of streaming, binge shows that drop all at once, tiktok and vine RIP i still love u vine but you were the beginning of a particularly ugly era) creating this bite sized, quick paced ‘content’ era of creation and it bled out into fucking everything else.

Fandoms didn’t die down when the show ended or the season was over. You didn’t mass unfollow artist, writers or moots just because they changed fandoms. There wasn’t this need to please the algorithm in order for your posts to get seen by people and enjoyed.

Fandoms used to last YEARS. Star Trek is literally the oldest running fandom out there and you got people in there that could care less about the new stuff and still have been happily prancing through their fucking fifty year old fandom today. Hell, even SPN after all it’s fuckups and shitshows has a dedicated fanbase STILL creating tons of art and fic.

There is no patience anymore. No calm feeling of taking in fandom and friends at a pace that which doesn’t make you stressed and is still fun.

Do I blame fandom for this? Of course not, but people are complacent with it and start changing their vocab to accommodate and end up making the situation so deep it cant be fixed.

We call Art & Fic Content now, completely stripping the value of what it is to a level of consumerism instead of personal entertainment & community bonding.

FUNGUARY IS HAPPENING AGAIN!!! February is right around the corner, which means it’s soon time for Funguary 2024! the drawing event where we draw a bunch of mushroom based characters during the month of feb. This will be our third year of Funguary, and this time it’s a leap year!

Here’s how it works: Each week of the month will have a theme with seven different prompts, draw a mushroom character within that theme in order to join. The themes are Celestial, Demonic, Edible and Cryptic. Each week of February is a new theme. You don’t have to complete all the prompts, just one mushroom per theme/week is plenty!

If you’re hardcore you can definitely try and finish all the prompts though ;). The challenge intensity is adjustable to what suits you. This is a chill event where the goal is to just have fun and vibe, and honor the fungi kingdom with some really cool art🍄

I invite you all to come draw mushrooms with me! Use the hashtag #Funguary and #funguary2024 when posting your creations. Okay I get a lot of questions about what order the handplates comics go in because for a while I was a doofus and just did whatever scene I had in mind regardless of where in the timeline it fell because SURE THAT’S NOT CONFUSING OR ANYTHING, so here’s all the comics in chronological order.

Each comic usually has an LJ (or Dreamwidth) post listed as the source where I talk about random notes and details about each one. The main story is also on Comicfury, which is probably the most convenient and best looking place to read it, but I also mirrored this index on Pillowfort and I upload each bit of art to Deviantart too. On Devart, I link to stuff like dubs or translations (!) in the description for each one. If you do a dub or translation btw let me know! I think they are super cool, haha.

Each one is usually about a single self-contained moment, so while there is an order to them, they might not directly lead into or from each other. Sort of like chapters in a book I guess? Since this isn’t confusing enough already.

I don't know if I've made it clear, but Sierra has heavily tinted rose-colored glasses when it comes to Cody. She sees him with a dopey smile, she assumes she's won him over. She sees him blush and stumble through the challenges, she assumes his feelings for her are too overwhelming. And when she hears Cody and Noah kissed... It must've been Noah's fault. Noah must of manipulated him somehow. Noah must've gotten in his head, cause there's no way Cody would ever like anyone that wasn't her. Right...?

She's not right. It's gonna take a while for her to come to terms with it, though.

I’ve had these animatics stashed on my phone since January 2020 (with redraws and edits made sparsely this is version 3 lmao), and basically since then I’ve been discreetly referencing them for a while in art, 😔 Because of a mishap, I had to post the bits separately. So one of my favorite things I’ve ever done that is also tied to a passion project au (by sheer coincidence) with @reds-right-antenna is now out, and hopefully all 3 bits were watched lmao.
