Maybe They Need To Put Sesame Street Back On Public Broadcasting Instead Of Fucking Premium HBO BECAUSE
maybe they need to put sesame street back on public broadcasting instead of fucking premium HBO BECAUSE I’M GONNA BE KICKING SHINS WITH STEEL-TOED BOOTS AT THIS POINT RRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE
I hope that those who…
Are harping on Sesame Street for being associated with A$ are also equally harping on Google for also being associated with Autism Speaks. And they are near impossible to avoid and has way more influence over what autistic representation looks like than Sesame Street does.
This is why I have problems with simple guilt by association. I want to see what that association does before shunning someone for being associated with a group I don’t approve of.
I’m just putting my thoughts into words. I don’t have the spoons to argue over this.

i am one of those crazy anti-war hippies but i was in tears imagining one of those slow-mo heroic battle scenes where the usually comic relief guy sings to himself to keep that little flicker of hope alive
and then in the end when the helicopter cavalry finally arrives to evac them i just
This is… oddly beautiful.
November Comment Challenge
I double dog dare you, Tumblr, to leave some kind of comment on every story you read on AO3 this November.
You don’t have to compose a sonnet, or make offers of marriage, but I challenge you to take the minute of your time required to type one sentence of feedback into the comment field after you’ve read any story you didn’t completely hate, and tell the author something about what your experience of reading their work was. Two or three words is all it takes, if you’re feeling shy – “I liked this” or “This was good”
Something to let the author know that you recognize their efforts, that you are at least on some level aware that they entertained you, or at least kept you occupied for a little while, and that these comments are the only pay you’re ever going to be asked to give up for it. The only pay these authors are going to get. Recognition. From you.
When you think about how many hours of entertainment you get from reading fanfic every week, it’s not so much to pay, really.
So click the comment button. Use your words. Give a fan writer some encouragement to keep doing what they do.
I dare you.
Maybe the sudden disappearance of Xerxes (from the non-homunculus POV) serves as a sort of warning not to start down the path of transmuting gold, as it would lead to an insatiable avarice like the one that devoured Xerxes.
Bergzerk and I were talking about this the other night. Headcanon that the people of Xerxes originally intended gold to be something like the Philosopher’s stone and transmuted it in large amounts. Gold brought beauty, money, and scientific advantage - with wealth most things could be achieved, and some believed the possibility to live forever was also a variable of the metal. It was also ingested in small amounts to test it’s power and is still enjoyed today by those who can afford it (gold flakes), albeit not for the same reason. While transmuting gold was fairly simple, it was extremely intrusive on peoples’ bodies. Over time, Xerxes adapted and began to experience physical changes. Regular bodies contain about 0.2 milligrams of gold, most of it in the blood. However a person of Xerxian descent has enough gold present in their blood to manifest in their eyes and hair, and as a conductor which makes alchemical reactions stronger and easier to produce. Edward and Alphonse are both excellent examples of this and is why they showed such proficiency in alchemy as children. While economic concern is valid, this is still a distant reason as to why the transmutation of gold is still forbidden.
with love thank you Toby Fox for making such a beautiful game. you truly are a genius i kinda wanna do a fan comic of this game though~ this one was a lot of fun
you know i’ve seen enough pictures of people eating strawberries kinkily that i find this picture extremely painful instead of cute
