Author’s Note: When I started writing I was so confused how to write and what to write, then I ended up choosing this trope. This trope is very new to me, I tried making it a bit sweet, hope that worked and I really hope you will like this Tan, and wishing you Merry Christmas 🎄❄️ and I would be posting this on a time (your b’day date as time), I thought this would a be sweet gesture for you.

And this was my first time taking part in secret santa event by carat writers club, and I enjoyed it a lot, thankyou for giving me such an amazing friend, and I love this event!

I was looking at the painting in the museum, solo museum dates were something always comforting to me. It felt like art always connects me to a different world, like my escape. Art is always something I feel they speak the way no one could and they comfort me. I feel like it’s home. Home isn’t always a place, it can be something or someone that makes you feel safe. 

I was walking and looking at all the art pieces with a deep thought, I heard a click sound and was caught off guard. ‘did someone recognize me?’ ‘but I tried my best to cover myself’ these thoughts came flooding to my mind, and I turned around and bowed.

The moment I turned my head, I saw two guys and soon recognized them as Mingyu and Minghao. They were around the same age but they were my seniors in the company. Like how can you not recognize THE Kim Mingyu and THE Xu Minghao.

“Oh?” I got startled because of Minghao’s voice and I saw Mingyu lowering the camera.

Did he recognize me? I doubt that because, if we ever interacted with eachother, it was mostly because of company and some projects or like collabs for dance challenges, I guess.

“Hello” Mingyu smiled at me.

“Hello” I smiled at him, he could probably see my smiling because of my eyes, because I’m wearing a mask.

“Sorry if I startled you” he looked apologetic, I shook my head, “No no, it’s fine”

“You like art?” I turned to look at Minghao, I nodded.

One thing I was sure now, they recognized me. “Do you want to join us? Or are you on a solo date?” Mingyu was surely an extrovert. I was about to say something then he spoke, “don’t think we will get uncomfortable, because we will rather get one more company who enjoys art” his smile, there’s something I couldn’t resist anymore, he is always so humble and kind with everyone.

“Okay then” I smiled. “Let’s go and check out the remaining two” only two art works were left, I was walking with them to check them out. It felt like I got a new company for few minutes. Solo dates are fine but when someone joins you unexpectedly, it just makes everything a bit better.

“Do you come and visit museums usually?” I looked at Minghao, I nodded, “Yes, because I feel home” I smiled, hoping he would understand how I feel.

“That’s amazing” and we both smiled. He looked so genuine, when he was talking about art. He is someone who loves art, I feel more connected to him at times. Being my senior at the company, I always looked up to him. He amazes me a lot and I admire him a lot.

“Have you eaten something?” I looked at Mingyu when we were walking out from the museum, I shook my head. “I had breakfast and didn’t had lunch yet” I told him the truth, “Well you can join us, if you’re okay with it” I thought for a second, Mingyu looked humble while inviting me for lunch, but I was almost a stranger for him and Minghao, we never interacted exclusively but he is inviting me over a lunch, it melted my heart, and when someone asks me ‘have you eaten?’ it always touched me; maybe because at times I forget to eat because I get busy? it’s one of the sweetest gesture anyone could make for me.

“Are you okay?” I looked at Mingyu, I was taken aback with his question because how worried he looked, then I realized I was starting to tear up because I felt overwhelmed then I nodded and smiled.

“I’m okay, I was just a bit surprised and overwhelmed” there was no reason to hide I guess “we never interacted with each other, like this and I was surprised when both of you recognized me even when I am wearing a mask right now. And then giving me company and inviting me over lunch, I felt a bit overwhelmed.” I avoided his gaze for a second.

Minghao smiled and I looked at him, “we are idols, even you recognized us, although we are wearing masks right now” he smiled again. I was about to argue and tell them that how am I not supposed recognize them? And Mingyu cut me off with his words.

“And we are not strangers Y/N, it’s just we never got a chance to interact exclusively till now and we would be glad if you could join us because we would be getting a friend. Three of us are of same age after all” I smiled at him, “How did you know- I blurted out

“We work in the same company” I looked at Minghao, feeling embarrassed, “right”

“So, do you want to join us?” I nodded smiling big, it felt nice. It felt like I found new friends to hang out who have same interests as mine.

We took a cab and went to a restaurant Mingyu choose. During the whole ride I didn’t feel alone or felt like I was with strangers, rather felt it was a dayout with my own friends. It felt like we were having just normal conversations with friends. We were talking about art, photography and hobbies, while talking about photography, Mingyu looked really interested, “Mingyu, I really wanted to tell you, I love your photography skills. And Minghao, I really wanted to tell you I love your sky pics, specially sunset ones” they looked surprised, “you check our posts?”

I almost forgot our group account follows them , and we don’t have personal Instagram account yet but I just check in twitter randomly when they appear on my timeline or check their accounts randomly, “Sometimes”

“That’s something I didn’t know” Mingyu laughed, “Well… our group account follows your group account and I sometimes happen to see your sunset pictures or sky pictures, they really heal me at times” thankfully my mask had me covered or else they could see my cheeks red because I’m embarrassed.

After telling them, how photography is precious to me, because I want to capture the beauties on lens, although they don’t do justice for what we see infront of us. I always wanted to capture the beauties which hold so many memories for me.

After having lunch and talking about random things, we were about to part ways, because of our schedules “so, Y/N let’s stay in contact and let’s have another day out like this, we really enjoyed your company. And do me know if you come across art exhibitions or something which you want to come, then I’ll give you company” I nodded and smiled at Mingyu; then he gave his phone to me, I looked at him, “number and kakaotalk id”

“Ah” I gave him my number and added both in my kakaotalk, “let’s stay in touch then!”

“You’re way too cute” I looked at Mingyu, taken aback. Minghao was looking at him, with a face I couldn’t understand, I was thinking how to respond, “everyone says that!” he looked so defensive, “thank you~”

“Well, we have practice in an hour and we don’t want to be late” I nodded, understanding our busy schedule  “Yes, I understand, I too have practice in few hours. Guess, that’s it then”

“See you around Y/N” I smiled at Minghao and he gave me a shoulder pat, he was really a warm person. “See you soon Y/N” Mingyu smiled at me, and my heart skipped a beat. I didn’t know why would that happen but maybe because he was standing really close to me. “Yes, see you guys soon” I gave him a full smile.

Their cab came, and they waved at me, before they could leave I heard Mingyu’s voice faintly, ‘Finally I’ve her number and we are not stranger anymore’ I saw Minghao smiling and nudging Mingyu’s shoulder which looked like he was teasing him, I turned around feeling my cheeks heated up.

“but I’m glad we are not strangers anymore” I said this to myself and saw my cab already came.

seungcheol was… the whiniest person in the world when it came to the fact that you two were far apart. this wasn’t true all the time–he was still a mature adult who recognized that you couldn’t just up and leave your job and neither could he–as his friends had no idea just how pouty he could be (except for jeonghan, who lived with the guy and overheard plenty of mealtimes where he was talking about buying you a plane ticket himself). but on the nights when it was the worst for him? it was the absolute worst. he’d explained the feeling to you as being “skin hungry” for you to come visit him again and just hold him for a few minutes. maybe even a kiss would give him the strength to wait for when life started working out and one of you could move.

he’d been walking around his apartment when he called you that day, headphones in and listening to you talk about your day while making dinner before he let out the longest sigh.

“everything okay?”

he knows it's important for you to study really hard for this exam because it had a lot of weightage on your overall grade, but he wishes that you put your health before it.

"have you eaten?"

"hmm," he's annoyed by your response but he knows you haven't eaten yet, so he quickly orders something that you both regularly frequent and places your share of the food on your table for you to eat.

but he's genuinely happy to see you accompany him on the couch after a bit, claiming that a break is necessary.

he loves you and loves that you put that much work into your dreams, it's truly one of the many reasons why he's in constant awe of you.

in another instance, he loves it when you're satified with yourself when you get your results like, in his defense, how you should be with yourself everyday but he's happy that there are some instances like that.

he's also someone who wants to be as much involved as he can in your life to spend more time with you, so when he has the time and it looks like your mood is sociable too, he asks you to tell him about the syllabus, about the things you're scared you won't be able to remember in the exam.

and he’s so proud of you, so please do him a favour and take care of yourself, even if it's little things like not skipping a meal, taking a shower, he’s proud of you for balancing it all out.

☆ wonwoo.

wonwoo doesn’t quite ever say anything when you pull all nighters to finish studying, he won’t say things like “you should sleep,” or “please get some rest,” he’s more of an action taking person. for instance, if you ever fall asleep on the desk, you’ll always wake up on the bed, or how your water bottle which you keep on your desk never seems to run out of water. 

he’ll also stick around all night during these times, claiming he’s just playing some games and finishing some chores but really he sticks around so you’re not alone, and can make you some coffee when you’re taking a break. 

and once, a movie you really wanted to watch came out on netflix right during exam season, so wonwoo called out to you, “do you wanna watch it together? should i wait for you?”

“no, no it’s okay we can watch something else together, please watch it,” you called out from behind your desk.

but when you later check the netflix app, the movie is right there unwatched by him. 

wonwoo’s love can be seen through the little gestures he makes when he loves you, a sandwich with the veggies making up a smile and quieting the neighbours when they play loud music without you remarking anything about it. 

and sometimes you can feel him lifting you off from the chair you’ve fallen asleep in and place you carefully on the bed and push the cover all the way up to your chest, just how you like it and he places a soft kiss on your forehead, “i love you.”

☆ mingyu. 

“tea?”

his usual routine of making you tea every night before bed, he’s yawning by the time this part of the routine takes place having had a long day. but he sits by you reading the books that lay open slowly, trying to understand your area of interest and talking to you, listening to you vent about your day and then purposefully choosing some funny anecdotes to narrate to you from his day. 

he’ll fall asleep soon though, but he’d be up at the crack of dawn, making you breakfast and some sort of snack so you don’t go hungry all day. 

“don’t study a lot, babe,” he kisses your forehead before leaving, “you’re going to ace it anyway,”

but you hold him back, pulling him in for a kiss, a long passionate kiss, and he’s genuinely surprised by it. “have a good day, babe,” you smirk.

he’ll also force you to get out, and get some fresh air. so you have small, impromptu dates to the nearest park, grab some snack and you’re back home. you whine when he takes you so you don’t actually tell him how happy you are that you went out and how lucky you feel that he’s be your side. 

he always call you too, to make sure you’ve eaten and gotten up and stretched a bit. “if you end up getting sore muscles again, i’m not massaging them for you this time,”

☆ vernon.

“have you went through this topic?”

“uh-huh,”

“and this?”

“i guess,”

“i guess? this seems important, please go through it again,”

“yes, sir,”

he goes red at that. “i’m just..i’m just trying to help,”

“and i appreciate it,” you peck him on the cheeks.

even though he didn’t like the subject much, he made sure to help out as much as he could to you, you suggested the idea but now it seemed like he was more keen on whatever authority this offered him. 

during the exam preparation season, you could always look forward to your favourite foods being ordered, even if he didn’t like it, he’d make sure to whine about how much he didn’t like it but would still order that and eat it up. 

“just come to bed, please, you know i can’t sleep without you,” whenever he thought you were getting too much harsh with yourself, he’d do this, coax you out under the excuse that he needs you. 

“hey, look at this meme,” one of his foremost love languages, sending you tiktoks you’d think would be funny and if you were around he’d just show it to you, eager for your reaction, eager for you to laugh at it. 

and don’t even get me started on how he’d pepper you with small pecks all over your face while he holds you when you’re finally done with the exams, “finally, i get you all to myself.”

my weekend was okay! i'm a super introvert, so after spending time with people irl on thursday and friday, i spent the whole weekend wallowing and recovering my social energy HAHA i get irritable when i'm around people for too long. hmm, my question for you today is: what's your favorite au(s) and why? i have the list from your submission, but i'd love to hear the reasons :o -🎁 anon

so, there are a lot of aus I love, both in tumblr and wattpad; there's this one in Wattpad, "vampire brothers" I love it, like love love love it!! and I love the random ones in tumblr as well.

So, Vampire brothers, I like the vampire-werewolf aus a lot, and it was one of my first cheol fanfic in wattpad. I saw Vampire and gave it a try and then it got me screaming, crying, banging my head, like there was this one scene with Mingyu, I was screaming like no tomorrow!! I loved the concept, the way it kept me hooked until I complete it. it was amazing. what about yours?

Wonwoo x reader // self indulgent // slice of life ig?? // im just tired and i want someone witth me tonight 🥹🥹 also i wrote this in like,,, 20 minutes while half asleep so this might not make sense

You're already laying on your side when you hear the front door opens; eyes closed and pajamas clad because it's almost midnight and it's been a long day. As much as the corner of your lips lift at the indication that Wonwoo is finally home, you don't have the energy to get up again and greet him.

He, of all people, would understand the need to melt into your mattress after a long day.

You feel his presence before you hear him, and you don't bother to open your eyes when his fingers brush your fringe, caress your cheek, and drops a light, feathery kiss there.

You still don't open your eyes when he whispers your name and asks if you're awake, simply hums in acknowledgement and continue to try to lull yourself to sleep.

You don't open your eyes either when he whispers a good night before you hear rustling- then the familiar click of your bathroom door followed by the faint sound of shower not long after.

And you still refuse to open your eyes when you feel the bed dip behind you, Wonwoo's familiar warmth reaches out to you that you unknowingly release a sigh of relief when you hear him tap his phone doing God knows what.

You feel him scoot closer not long after, but he's not touching you even if he's close enough for his soft breath to blow against your hair.

Your eyes are still closed when you turn around to face Wonwoo, seeking his warmth without initiating any physical interaction. Because you're tired and you just want to sleep. You hear his smile, then feel his comb through your hair because he knows it always helps.

And when you wake up the next morning, his fingers are still buried in your hair. Your bodies are facing each other; your hands tucked under your head and his free hand on top of his blanket.

You're not touching except for his fingers in your hair, yet it's the warmest you've felt in so long.

It's always the easiest to fall asleep with Wonwoo by your side.
