​long haired shoto WITH braids?!? This is something I never knew I needed before now.

Lets pretend ch306 doesn't exist and talk about our adorable happy boys. So, when Shoto's hair starts getting longer, falling asleep on Izuku's lap always ends up with his hair being braid. Izuku just can't resist the urge to touch his silky locks, knowing exactly how much Shoto enjoys it. Waking up from soft giggles with many small braids on his head became a habit.

"You did this again, didn't you?"

Izuku just smirks in response.

(Izuku's favourite part of it is unbraiding Shoto's hair, because it becomes all fluffy, making him look like a two coloured cloud)

Shoto slams open Izuku's door, swaying on his feet slightly as his eyes struggle to stay open. Distantly, he registers his boyfriend's surprised shriek from where he's lounging on his bed.

'Shoto-kun!' He exclaims. 'Don't scare me like tha-'

'Sleepy.'

'Er...' Izuku raises an eyebrow. 'What?'

''M sleepy.' Shoto yawns to exacerbate his point, before lifting his arms and making grabby hands. 'Time for Izucuddles.'

He shuts the door behind him and plods over to the bed, before promptly collapsing into Izuku's lap. He inhales deeply, allowing the familiar smell of apples and cinnamon to drown his senses as he feels his consciousness fade. Izuku's always so relaxing to be around, Shoto can't help but feel safe in his arms.

When crooked hands then move to massage his head, running his fingers through long hair, Shoto's accepts his fate as he succumbs to sleep.

When he wakes up about an hour later, it's to the sound of muffled giggling and a slight tension in his hair. Groaning, Shoto stretches out across Izuku's lap, before moving to feel his hair.

'You did it again, didn't you?' He tries to sound annoyed, but he can't mask the affection in his voice as he feels dozens of plaits in his hair. However, he stills when he feels something new under his touch.

He grabs one of the braids and brings it towards his eyes. 'Wait... Did you put flowers in my hair?'

He doesn't know why he's asking when there's obviously a daisy woven into his crimson hair, but he still feels the need to ask.

Izuku merely smirks down at him in response, the ceiling light shadowed by his face.

‘Do you like it?‘

How could Shoto ever be mad at such an angel?

Bonus:

Shoto practically purrs as scarred hands run through his hair.

'You're enjoying this aren't you?' Izuku teases affectionately, beaming when Shoto’s hair turns frizzy as the braids come undone.

'Not as much as you.' Shoto huffs, laying on his stomach and resting his head on his arms. His hair feels like static and tickles his face, but he can’t be bothered to move it.

‘All done!’ Izuku finally exclaims, shifting around so he can face Shoto fully. When he takes in his partner’s angelic face, framed by a mane of scarlet and ivory, he feels his heart swell.

‘Well...‘ Shoto raises an eyebrow, grinning softly.

‘Gorgeous.‘

Maybe it was the nudge of a warm cup of tea over to his side, or the bubbling words that never let him feel lonely, or perhaps it was the frequent smiles, warmer than a winter fire, that had Shouto fall so deeply and surely in love.

But the war had just ended, scars just healing, and to think such thoughts in such a time was selfish, so awfully selfish, that Shouto did everything to keep it to himself, but sometimes he let himself wonder, he let himself fantasize.

He dreamt of kitchen cabinets stocked with various flavours of tea, a snowy night in a warm house, with an even warmer man inside, peeling tangerines and watching the television. He dreamt of normalcy even with the ghosts of the war lurking, and found comfort in it, but it was merely a dream and dreams are bound to break.

But, as Shouto looked across the table at Izuku, dressed to his nines and still smiling and laughing like he always did, he felt that even his dream couldn't look as wondrous as his reality. He watched as Izuku talked about his day and lit up the whole room with his joy. Shouto let his hand to wander in his pocket to touch the small box inside it, with an even smaller ring in it, and basked in the feeling of finding normalcy even in such a beautiful moment.

TDDK HC TIME!!!!

Tddk remind me so much of halo by Beyoncé?? Hear me out here. At the beginning of the song she goes “Remember those walls I built? Well, baby, they're tumbling down” except izuku quite literally and metaphorically smashed his way through the walls Shoto’s build throughout the years. The ice walls he’s spent years perfecting, and the walls meant to separate him from any distractions on the path of becoming number 1.

And further in the song she goes “It's like I've been awakened. Every rule I had you breakin' It's the risk that I'm takin'. I ain't never gonna shut you out” Which reminds me so much of their fight during the sports festival?? And how blinded shoto was due the anger and resentment he had towards his father. That Izuku destroyed his body just to prove to shoto that his left side was his and not endeavor’s. Which is why he gets “awakened”during their fight. And what a risk shoto’s taking for following Izuku after he’d broken every wall/rule set up by or for him. And by doing so shoto’s breaking another one of his father rules, by deciding to follow Midoriya’s words and forge his own path to become a hero. But he’d never be able to shut izuku out no matter what, especially after he smashed his way into shoto’s life.

Which brings me to my next part where she says “Hit me like a ray of sun, burning through my darkest night. You're the only one that I want, think I'm addicted to your light” Because it seems like Shoto’s always had dark nights every since he was born. The late nights spent training until he threw up, before he was forced back up again. The summer days where he never went to the park with his siblings. The winter days where he’d never get to build a snowman, because he had to dodge fire punches instead. The fact that a mere look at his face caused his mother to permanently scar him. Until Midoriya came along with that constant smile on his face, and an oddly similar quirk to all might who would just not give up. Who kept destroying his own body just to help Shoto. And so he will forever be grateful and addicted to the light that Izuku oh so generously shares.

BNHA YOU’RE NEXT SPOILERS BELOW!!!!!

I watched the new MHA movie today, and it was SO good omg. The animation??? Bones actually cooked this time especially during the last 30-45 minutes. The fights were SO good, and had me audibly gasping in the cinema every time I saw one. Guilio and Midoriya’s dynamic OMGHH?? Guilio was SO funny and reminded me so much of shoto and lwk Rody too. I love how izuku keeps reaching out to everyone no matter what, and how in every movie he helps someone who’s in a dark place💔 But the fact that guilio kept using izuku as a distraction was way too funny.

But one thing I noticed was how much bakugo’s grown compared to season 1. Yeah he’s had character development, but it kind of felt like it only revolved around Midoriya and wasn’t something I really noticed. But after watching how Bakugo actually communicated with his teammates (when him and shoto were fighting the villains with teleportation and telekinesis quirks) And how he didn’t run back into the fights like he might’ve done in the earlier seasons. Like at the beginning of the movie when Dark mights quirk started absorbing everything and his team tried driving away even though he was against it, he still didn’t run into the battle. And the fact that he actually remembers his classmates names?? During the sports festival he didn’t know any of his classmates named, but now he’s yelling their names with instructions.

I might’ve started liking bakugo more after the movie.

WOOOO!! One I will forever recommend after reading 2 weeks ago, that genuinely made me (who never cries at anything) cry is broken telephone by tmotc.

I haven’t read this one myself yet, but I’ve heard it’s good and it’s got fan art!! It’s where ever you are (that’s where I’ll be) by unreemarkable. But honestly anything by them is good so you’ve got nothing to worry about.

Another one is “it’s love and I got the proof” by halcyonrole !! It’s basically about shoto learning which love languages he has and tries to confess by being a bit encouraging! Quite nice to read tbh

OMGGGG I’ve been waiting for something like this!! But to be honest I only read one shots..🫣 (I can share those too if you want) BUT one I really liked was “the night shift” by bagelpennies !! It’s like a superstore AU which is not only abt tddk, but also really funny shenanigans with different pairings that you don’t really see. Btw there’s also denki x Non binary character in the fic!! It doesn’t take away from the story and they really add to the story.

So I’d say that’s my favorite tddk fic so far!!
