Everything hurt, every muscle and joint ached. Remus supposed this was to be expected after violently transforming between a human and a wolf and then back to a human again but it didn't make it any easier. "That was a bad one" A hoarse voice called out, Sirius stumbled into Remus' line of sight - they were still in the shack and early morning light was shining through the cracks in the walls illuminating dust particles that danced through the air. Remus sat up a little straighter "you shouldn't be here" he hissed, the last thing he wanted was Sirius to get caught.

Sirius shook his head, his hair streaking over his face like calligraphy, he didn't even seem to care for Remus' words instead crouching down to fuss over fresh scratches on Remus wand in hand. "Why was it so bad, you're normally great when all of us are here..." He mumbles to himself, Sirius had a habit of doing that. Thinking aloud, as if there wasn't enough room in his head to keep his inner monologue bottled up. Remus gently pushed Sirius away, looking him in the eye as he spoke hoping it would help get his point across "Padfoot, you need to go" his voice firm but Sirius still ignored it. "No... I need to make sure you're okay" Sirous mumbled, knitting skin back together with magic. Pomfrey had simply thought Remus was getting better as he got older, unaware that Sirius had learnt every healing spell he could to help Remus. It was more than he deserved.

Remus rubs the back of his neck awkwardly "I think is because it's a harvest moon" and Sirius just nodded silently "mmm okay" Sirius skeptically said as he planted a kiss on Remus' cheek. Remus felt a blush creeping onto his cheeks despite the chill of the September morning "you know... coz the moon is brighter and is out for longer" Remus explained as if Sirius hadn't sat through that same Astronomy class on Lunar cycles beside Remus having his knuckles mangled as Remus held his hand so tightly it wouldn't have been a shock if one of the bones actually did break. Sirius smirked, that stupid mischievous grin he always had "fuck the moon" he decreed before springing up and bounding off, Remus was still grinning like an idiot when Pomfrey came to get him from the shack.

"What the fuck is that?" Remus asked, his face contorted in a bemusing mixture of confusion and annoyance. Sirius grinned, couldn't help it. He leant against the barrel he had rolled all the way to the dormitory building, it was heavy and here Remus was not even appreciating the effort he'd put into getting it all the way here. "Wine, obviously" Sirius drawled, that much was probably obvious but hey who's to say he shouldn't play dumb occasionally. Remus scoffed "I can see that much Pads, do you even know how much a barrel of wine is?" He said, shaking his hands at the wooden cylinder like it was offensive. It made Sirius smile more. "It can't be that much" Sirius reasoned - sure the thing was sizeable but he'd managed to get it here on his own all the way from the chapels basement. Remus stared at the barrel some more, not even looking at Sirius "225 litres" he muttered "you stole 225 litres of hallowed wine" Remus was in disbelief by the look on his face. That's exactly what Sirius had hoped to achieve.
