I was watching nimona with my friend yesterday (this was my second time seeing it) and in the scene where ambrosius asks what are we doing when he realizes that half the city is gonna be taken out my friend said that he reminds her of arthur from BBC Merlin and I immediately could see it and then I responded with 'and the Director is like Uther omg'. I also realised that merlin is both like ballister and like nimona. Like bal in the sense of loyalty and also the truth and honor thing and you can see how his morals and everything he believes in slowly crumbles just like merlin and Nimona represents Merlin's magic and how it's a part of him and nimona's speech about how she kinda has to use her powers reminds me of how merlin is magic itself.
