to anyone that’s currently curious about mike faist bc of challengers, i think now is the time to say that i write six of his roles. so uh. if you want to write with a mike muse, lmk because i’ve got six of them.

Tosia is curled in a ball on the seat next to him. She’s been staring at Katniss since she and Peeta got on the train. Riff doesn’t know if she’s trying to eat Katniss’ shrike or if she just doesn’t trust her. Either way, she can’t eat the bird. Riff tears his attention away from his daemon to focus on Katniss. She’s the first person in District Twelve to volunteer since he did. He gets why she did it, but he also knows the chances of her survival are slim. He leans back in his seat a bit and rubs behind Tosia’s ears.

“You got a plan?” He likes to ask all the tributes that. “For once you’re in there?” Most of them don’t. He doesn’t think Katniss will, either. But maybe she’ll surprise him. He doubts it, but maybe it’ll happen.
