southern nights is done in the style of a teen dramedy, reminiscent of 10 things, clueless, etc.; it's got an ensemble cast and is about six seniors on the eve of their high school graduation crossing everything off their bucket list they made as a group in middle school. kennedy is your quintessential "rich bitch" stereotype but she really does have a heart of gold underneath a seemingly prickly exterior. she takes the heat when the group almost gets caught pulling a prank by the police because her dad's the chief and she knows she'll get off much lighter than anyone else would
fight dirty is an action movie me and my friend livi ( @wightwulf, @livisland ) came up with because she writes johnny cage from the mortal kombat games and it just fit perfectly that jordan and johnny would end up working on the same set.
johnny plays agent noah beckett (we don't learn his name until the end of the movie), a serious, by-the-book FBI agent who's determined to bring down a huge crime boss. when his informant, manuel d'angelo, disappears, he's at a dead end in the case---until manuel's sister, claudia d'angelo (played by jordan), is booked for pick-pocketing and vandalization. beckett cuts claudia a deal: she works with him to help bring the crime boss down, and her record will be wiped clean and she can get that fresh start she's wanted. lots of buddy cop genre antics ensue, and despite their initial explosiveness and butting heads, the two of them make an excellent team and end up developing feelings for one another.
the loyalty principle is another action movie, but with a more serious tone; think john wick but with the fairytale/fantasy elements of bright mixed in. jordan plays isabella james, a siren who sings at a well-known nightclub frequented by white collar criminals and is owned by notorious crime boss, [ COOL INTIMIDATING NAME HERE (i am lazy) ]. what starts off as her just being something pretty and enchanting to draw patrons in quickly shifts into her being blackmailed into using her powers to get people to divulge information, which puts her into increasingly dangerous situations. she gains the friendship of a detective who's been investigating a crime that links back to the club and the crime boss, and works with them in an effort to bring down said crime boss.
