when you look on the orchestra from the crowd the first violins and the violin that's the concert master/first chair are furthest left and then theres 2nd violins then violas in like the middle and then the cello's and behind the cello's is the bass, cellos are only played sitting the other instruments can be played standing or sitting. Yes I've been playing Cello going on 4 years, and then the cello in the front row closest to the crowd is 1st chair which is my spot, scary. Concerts are so stressful last one we had someone said something about one of the cello's messing up and it wasn't me it was lets call him Masp but I started freaking out and had a pretty bad panic attack, but I was able to calm down before we had to do the piece that combined the 4 advanced groups (Advanced strings, string asambo, advanced winds, band ansambo) Cello's are pretty if they are treated properly though even a beat up cello is pretty, I got to work with a professional cello player yesterday and it was awesome! DAMN I WROTE A LOT. Anyways ILYT and I'm glad you asked questions and stuff your so sweet and kind too!!! and I really feel good knowing you think I'm kind and sweet! <3

(Cello's usually plays harmonies sometimes we get melody for a bit, violins have melody primarily, and bass has bass+harmony and violas have harmony and melody)
