You and Thrawn make some Cinnamon buns

You are sitting in your apartment drinking some caff, you patiently waiting for your partner Thrawn to get home from the Navy base. It’s so exciting to have him home even if it’s just for a short period of time. The food you two could eat together then it hits you. Cinnamon buns!

Yes, they are slightly more complicated than crepes but it would be amazing. The idea of teaching Thrawn to cook and bake is quite nice. For once you can teach him some things. You can’t help but smile as you drink your caff.

Suddenly there is a knock on the door, you get up and rush over to the front door. Opening it you see your partner Thrawn standing in the doorway with a bouquet of flowers. “These are for you, Ch’ eo Vir,” Thrawn says with a slight blush on his face. You smile and kiss his cheek.

“Thank you, my love,” You say happily as you take the bouquet and then pull him inside. “My love, guess what we are making today!” you say excitedly and Thrawn gives a rare small smile.

“I do not know, what is it this time? And as I thought you might want to cook something,” Thrawn says slightly happy yet curious. You smile and hug him tightly then move away with your back turned to him.

“We are baking today. We are making some cinnamon buns,” You say excitedly turning to him. And He seems happy to see you happy. “It’s going to be so fun!” you add and Thrawn nods his head.

But you notice that he has a slightly worried look on his face. “Don’t worry, my love, we are going to follow a recipe,” you say comfortingly and this seems to calm him slightly.

You walk over to the kitchen to begin working on the Mise en place for the cinnamon buns. Thrawn just watches silently and you give him the task of making the filling for the cinnamon buns. He smiles slightly sheepishly and begins making the filling while you work on the dough.

“Ch’ eo Vir, have you ever thought of marriage?” Thrawn asks suddenly and you look at him confused this was rather sudden.

“Of course, I’d marry you, there is no one else in the whole galaxy who compares to you,” You say honestly, the idea makes you blush. Was he going to ask you to marry him, someday? You turn your focus back to the dough.

Thrawn remains quiet as he starts working on the filling then he spills the cinnamon all over the counter. “Oh dear,” he says and you shake your head slightly amused and hug him. You start helping him clean up the cinnamon. “I’m sorry, Ch’ eo Vir,” Thrawn apologizes and you shake your head.

“It happens, besides, what’s the point of baking if you don’t make a bit of a mess,” You say jokingly which gets a smile from him. You both finish cleaning up the cinnamon and then the timer for the dough goes off.

You start to spread out the dough and you carefully help him make filling and he seems rather happy to have your help. Thrawn starts to spread the filling on the dough. You watch him and he seems to having a good time. Once he is done you both roll it up and cut the dough into individual pieces and put them in the pan you set aside for this.

As you go to put them in the oven Thrawn begins cleaning up the rest of the kitchen. You already preheated the oven to the right temperature. You place them in and help Thrawn clean the mess you two made in the kitchen.

“Ch’ eo Vir, I …” Thrawn starts but he seems hesitant, you look at him and place a hand on his shoulder comfortingly and give him the same comfort in your smile.

“My love, I love you, what is the matter?” You ask him and he lets out a breath you think he didn’t know he was holding. He looks at you a slightly fearful look in his eyes.

“I don’t want to lose you, Ch’eo Vir, and I don’t know how much longer I can take being away from you,” He says his voice cracking ever so slightly. You hug him tightly and kiss him on the lips.

“Thrawn I would never leave you for someone else,” You say honestly and the idea of him ever becoming M.I.A or K.I.A made you want to stay by his side even more. “I always fear that you’ll never come home one day, and I want to stay beside you no matter what.” You add with a worried look.

Thrawn seems speechless and hugs you back just as tightly. “I always fear never coming home to your warm embrace,” He says honestly and kisses your forehead. The two of you stand there and then separate and go back to cleaning. Once you both finish you sit on the couch and cuddle. Then you remember something your great-grandmother gave you when you were little. You get up rush over to your room and take out the old ring. It looks to be Thrawn’s size and you hide it behind your back.

You slowly walk back out of your room and he looks at you confused. Before he can ask you take out the ring and take a knee before him. “Thrawn, will you marry me?” You ask and he seems shocked but smiles slightly.

“I will if you will marry me?” he says and takes a knee before you and takes out a small box he opens it and inside it is an extremely beautiful ring, it’s clearly custom-made just for you. You can’t help but hug him and then kiss him.

“Yes!” You say happily and he kisses back and lifts you up. You both slip the rings on each other’s hands and then the timer for the cinnamon buns goes off. You rush over and pull them out.

Both of you decide to make the icing together, but Thrawn accidentally adds a little too much vanilla. But honestly, it didn’t matter, it’s a nice icing regardless and it complimented the cinnamon buns rather well.

You both eat two cinnamon buns each and then put the rest away for later. Thrawn kisses you on the cheek and smiles. “Where did you get this ring?” he asks and you smile at him.

“It’s a family heirloom, from my great-grandmother,” you say honestly and hug him tightly. Thrawn mutters something in his native tongue. You didn’t understand but you liked hearing him speak his native tongue.

As you two begin talking about possible wedding ideas his commlink goes off and he is called in for work. “We shall plan later,” Thrawn promises
