" her hands are shaking so much, she fears dropping the bible and then she and all of the world and God's children will be at the mercy of whatever stands before her. her chant is repeated, enough times to strike fear into her heart, before she makes a last attempt, throwing the bible at danika so forcefully she sends herself backwards a few, meek, stumbling steps.

Laura Lee died because she was the last straw of Lottie’s sanity. She stopped the seance, she gave Lottie stability and hope. Laura Lee was not only the “innocent” of the group, but the first one for Lottie to trust. Lottie followed her not the other way around. So how does a forest who wants a Queen get one? Kill her heart.
