Back with another story with no name Pt 1
This has been marinating in my head for a little bit, but I wasn't sure if I should write it. I ended up doing so to cure some writer's block. Let me know if you're interested and if I should continue it alongside my other stuff.
Jeremy's leg began to bounce nervously as he hung up the phone. He had decided; that today would be the day he'd ask her. The question was, how the fuck was he supposed to do that? If he hadn't been able to do it for the last three years, what made him think he could ask Lily out now?!
He sighed, getting up from the couch and heading to the kitchen. Several granola bar wrappers already littered the coffee table, but he really needed another one. Maybe it was his nerves making him so hungry? He had no idea. Opening the pantry, he fished out the box only to find it empty. He groaned, shoving the box back on the shelf and closing the pantry door. Though he was still hungry, he didn't want to spend too much of his grandma's money while she was away, lest she think he was blowing it all and never leave him alone again. It annoyed him slightly, that just now after turning seventeen she decided he was ready to be home alone for more than a night or two.
The house wasn't much different with her gone; still dark, still quiet, still always dusty. However, there was one thing to gain from her absence. She'd never let him have friends stay overnight. Well, now was his chance, and what she didn't know wouldn't hurt her.
His nerves kicked right back into gear at the thought of having Lily actually spend the night. She'd come over before yes, but her agreeing to spend the night just made him feel like he had to make a move. The thought made him nervous, but also giddy beyond belief.
That feeling was dashed though when he looked in the full-length mirror across the hall by the front door. He frowned, the only thing he really had going for him was his decent build, but that seemed pointless when coupled with his height. Standing at 5'3", he felt like some dwarf out of Lord of the Rings or Dungeons & Dragons. There was also the fact that he just wasn't what most of the girls at school would call handsome. His plain brown hair sat like a messy mop on top of his head due to him always forgetting to get it cut and his bulbous nose made him look almost like an orc.
He glared down at the ground, before marching right up to the mirror. If he was going to pull this off, he'd have to crank up the charisma. Clearing his throat, he looked his reflection right in the eye before smiling, "Hey Alice, glad you could come." No no, that made him sound like a pussy. He fixed his face up in a confident smirk, "How's it going Alice, you are looking damn fine today." He shot finger guns at the mirror only to slap himself in the face, "Stupid. That's stupid. No one does that."
Jeremy sighed. Would he even be able to do this? What if he screwed up so bad she left? or worse? He looked back up at his reflection, straightening and rolling his shoulders back, "Alice, there's something I've been wanting to tell you for some time now, I- Ach!"
Out of nowhere, pain bloomed from his chest. Burning, aching pain that pulsated in waves and began to spread out to his limbs. His legs gave out from under him. Falling to his knees, he gritted his teeth, clenching his fists.
"W-wha- what the hell?!" he managed to squeeze out before he yelled out as the pain increased tenfold and a resounding snapping noise filled his ears. Vision blinded, Jeremy over onto his side, curled up in the fetal position as he clawed at the floorboards in agony. He couldn't breathe, couldn't think. All he could do was writhe on the floor while it felt like every bone and muscle in his body was being ripped apart.
It stopped. As suddenly as it had started, it stopped. Jeremy gasped for air, sweat dripping from his face. W-what… What happened? His hand came up to rub his forehead as he sat up. He began to stand up.
"Ah!" his hands flew up to the top of his head, having hit something. He recoiled, hunching his back and finally opening his eyes.
He froze.
He was looking down at himself, seeing his cargo pants now resemble beige shorts that hugged his bottom half so tightly it was becoming uncomfortable. The red shirt he had been wearing now looked like a very short, cropped top. His heart began to race. He looked up only to have all the air in his body leave him.
The familiar open-planned kitchen and living room lay before him, looking the same as it always had except for one glaring detail. Everything seemed so much closer to the ground and even smaller. He was seeing everything from much higher up, he was higher up!
He raised his hands and looked up, gaping as he ran his fingers across the ceiling. The ceiling that had always been over eight feet high!
"H-holy- holy shit." he breathed, backing away. His skin erupted in goosebumps when he hit the nearest wall, "Holy shit!"
Jeremy shoved himself away from the wall, falling to the floor with a loud thud. He whipped his head around every which way as he backpedaled further away. This isn't happening, this can't be happening! His body began to tremble as he looked down at himself and then back at his surroundings. He was taller, bigger. He had grown!
"No, no!" he scrambled to his feet, crying out when his head smacked against the ceiling again. His hands came up and began grabbing and pulling bunches of his hair, "T-this is not happening!" he yelled to himself, "You're dreaming, this is just a dream!"
He stumbled over to the kitchen and wrenched open one of the cabinets, yelping when the whole door was ripped off by his own hand. The door clattered to the floor as he hastily dropped it and hurried over to the sink. Bending down, he reached out his shaking fingers and turned the tap. He cupped his hands, gathering up the water before promptly splashing himself in the face.
"Wake up, come on, wake up." When he opened his eyes, nothing had changed, "Come on wake up!" he cried, filling up his cupped hands again and splashing more water onto himself, "Wake up! Wake up!" when nothing changed, he began to slap his face, "Fucking wake up!" he closed his eyes, praying that he'd be staring up at his bedroom ceiling when he opened them. Instead, he opened them to see the same scene before him.
Moaning in exasperation, he slumped back onto the ground, the cups in the open cabinet clinking in response. How is this happening?! it can't be happening! this is impossible! He held his head in his hands, his elbows resting upon his knees. The room stilled, the only sound that filled it was Jeremy's rapid and heavy breathing.
However, a minute or two later, a new sound rang out. Knocking. Someone knocking at the
front door.
Jeremy froze.
"Hello? Jeremy, are you there?"
Crawling over to the front door on his hands and knees and not even having to get off them to reach the peephole, he peered outside. There she was, Lily. Still in her blue school blazer and a plaid skirt that was a bit big on her. As she turned her head, her curtain of black hair shimmered thanks to the setting sun.
Jeremy felt his heart murmur at the sight of her before he began to fly into a panic. What the fuck was he supposed to do?! He couldn’t let her in, not when he was like this! Whatever this was. Seriously, people don’t just grow! People can’t! They can’t just suddenly double in size!
“Jeremy?” Lily continued to knock. He leaned away from the door when she stood on the tips of her toes to try and peer through.
“I uh…. I’m here.” he called, his voice shaking, “W-what are you doing here so early?”
“Oh, I was just in the area when you called, grabbing a donut from Gusto Glaze. I got you something too” Jeremy felt a touch of warmth, hearing she had thought of him, “Are you going to let me in?”
“Oh uh…. About that.” he feigned a cough, “I’m….. not feeling so good.”
“Really? You seemed just fine at school.”
He faked another cough, “Yeah well, it just kind of came out of nowhere.” he waited, praying she’d buy it.
“I’m so sorry. Is there anything I can do to help? Anything I can get you?”
“No!” He cringed, the word coming out louder and harsher than he had meant, “No, no I’m alright. Besides, I wouldn’t want you to catch it”
“Are you sure? I really don’t think it’s a good idea for you to be alone and sick.”
He internally groaned. Of all the times for her to be nice and offer to keep him company, why did it have to be now? “I’m sure I’ll be fine. You don’t have to-”
His voice was interrupted by a loud growling and gurgling sound coming from Jeremy’s middle. He winced, slapping a hand over his stomach which continued to rumble.
“What was that?”
“Uh, nothing.” he glared down, pressing down harder in an attempt to silence his own body.
“Was that your stomach? Have you eaten at all today?” Lily’s voice was growing worried, and in any other circumstance, Jeremy would have been over the moon about it.
“Of course, well not much.” that had been the wrong answer.
“Well, you clearly haven’t had enough. You sound like you’re starving! Here, let me in so I can give you your donut and maybe make you something else.”
The doorknob began the jiggle. Jeremy shot his hand out to hold it still, “You really don’t need to do that. I’m perfectly fine on my own!”
“Then why did you let yourself get this hungry? Please, let me in and help.”
He paused, thinking over her words. What if…… what if she could help? Help him with whatever the hell is going on. She had always been more academic than him. Maybe she’d at least have a figment of knowledge about whatever this was. He glanced down at his oversized body. He wasn’t too keen on the idea of her seeing him like this, but what choice did he have? If he wanted help, which he honestly did.
“Uh, Lily” he started, “Look I’m….. I’m not sick, or at least not with the flu or anything like that. But….. but something’s wrong.”
There was a pause before Lily responded, “What do you mean? What’s going on Jeremy?”
He gulped, not sure how to tell her or even begin to describe what was going on, “I don’t really know. But…..” he shook his head, “Something is really wrong with me and I don’t know what to do about it.”
“Well, let me in please so I could help you figure that out.”
Jeremy ran a hand down his face, “Are you sure?”
“Why wouldn’t I be?”
She has no idea what she’s in for. He slowly took his hand off of the doorknob, “If I let you in…. Promise you won’t scream?”
Silence on the other side, then, “I promise.”
He let out a shaky sigh, raising his hand and unlocking the door. He backed away, watching with bated breath as it was slowly pushed open.
Mice Among Beasts Pt 1
A Baldur's Gate fanfiction.
The dungeon-like space smelled awful, like death, rot, and goblins. It was impossible to see where they were going, what with the cage constantly rocking back and forth with each step the goblin took, clearly taking pleasure in jostling them around.
A look of shock was still painted across Willow’s face, her brain struggling to keep up. How had she been so stupid?! Trying to steal food from that camp, and without any sort of plan? Had she even taken the time to scope the place out? No! She had simply seen the food and gone for it. Now, she was facing the grim reality that they themselves might become food. Did goblins eat her people? It seemed like a very real possibility, seeing what had been on-
She jumped when a loud, high-pitched wail filled the air, the source being right next to her. Belle had been sniffling and whimpering from the moment they had been captured, but now she was screaming.
The goblin above them groaned. He gave the cage a good shake, sending the two tiny humanoids falling from one side to the other, “Shut up!”
Belle only cried louder. Holding her aching head, Willow stumbled over to her. She wrapped her arms tightly around her sister's frail body and pulled her into her lap. Cooing at her and petting her golden hair very slowly quieted the girl down, being content to cry into Willow’s shirt.
The two were both trembling, but Willow tried to mask it by slowly rocking the sobbing mess in her arms. The corners of her own eyes burned, but she gritted her teeth and tried to remain composed. It wouldn’t help anyone if both of them began to crumble. Then again, could anything help them now?
She turned her head to glare at the underside of their captor's chin, “What do you want?” she hissed.
The two shrunk away as the cage was brought up to the goblin’s eye level. He smirked, “Entertainment.”
He lowered the cage back down to his side, pushing open a large double door with a guttural grunt. Willow peered through the bars, vaguely able to make out the room they had entered. There were two rooms on either side of them, but the goblin walked past them and down a short set of stone steps. All sorts of crates and wooden boards peppered the room's perimeter, but what caught her eye were the two large cells across the room, one on the left, and one on the right.
The goblin turned right, going down another short flight of stairs. Willow’s eyes widened, seeing ahead of them a small group of even more goblins. Three looked to be young ones, all of which were cackling with laughter. A guard of sorts seemed to be supervising them, a look of content amusement on her face.
“Listen! Did you hear it squeal?” one of the young ones laughed, pointing into the cell before them.
“Make it do it again!”
One of the goblins bent down and when they straightened, had a large rock in their grasp. They promptly threw it into the cell. A deep yet pained whimper came from behind the bars, pitiful and animalistic. Willow tensed at the sound, goosebumps beginning to pop up along her arms. What sort of animal did they have in there? Anything larger than a rabbit would have been enough to send her running.
The group burst into laughter, “Hand me another one!”
Willow flinched as their captor cleared his throat. The oldest of the group turned, her face lighting up with a similar sinister smirk.
“Hey, Crusher! Come to join the fun?”
“Actually, I plan to add to it.” He raised the cage and gave it another harsh shake, exciting a shriek out of Belle, “Lookie what I got ‘ere.”
The whole group descended upon them. All the kids hurried forward, pushing and shoving one another to get to the front and peer inside the birdcage. Willow’s arms tightened around her sister as the pairs of eyes on those hideous faces slowly settled upon the two of them.
“Woah!” exclaimed one child, “What are those?”
The goblin next to him gave him a shove, “They’re clearly some kind of fey, idiot.”
“What kind though?”
“Well… uh…” the smartass peered through the bars once more, “Uh… I’m not sure. Are they pixies?”
The eldest pushed them aside, leaning her ugly face down to scrutinize the girls, “No… no, pixies got wings, and these nibblets seem smaller. At least from what I’ve seen.” she gave the cage a small shove, causing Belle to cry out once more, her bony fingers clawing into her sister.
“Hah! They make even funnier noises!” Willow flinched at the volume of the child’s voice, wishing her hands were free so she could cover them, “Make ‘em do it again!”
“Oh oh! Let me see!” the smartass lept forward, his massive pudgy hands groping for the cage.
Their captor- Crusher he seemed to be called, held them higher up, chuckling, “Now now, you’ll all get plenty of time to hear them make their noises.” he shot the two a grin before turning to the other adult, “Notice you haven’t fed that furball to the worgs yet.”
“Nah, I’ve been having too much fun with ‘em.” she peered over her shoulder, “But if we ever run out of fresh meat-”
Crusher held up his hand, silencing her and turning to the kids, “How would you guys like to see a real show?”
Those greenish-yellow faces lit up, “Yeah!”
“You wanna see a real show?”
“Yeah!”
“Alright then.” he smirked from the cage to the cell, “This will be fun.”
The cage started to sway once more as Crusher pushed past the kids, approaching the cell. Willow, her sister still in her arms, began to back towards the opposite side of the cage.
They were suddenly lifted higher, being held right against the bars. Her heart hammered against her ribs as if trying to escape itself. She didn’t want to look, didn’t want to know, but her eyes betrayed her as they peered down into the cell.
She gasped. Through the bars, standing in the very center, was a bear. An absolutely massive brown bear.
Belle screamed, trying to backpedal further away to no avail. The goblins burst into fits of laughter, “What? You don’t like ‘em?” The cage was spun so now their backs were right up against the cell. Willow held her sister’s head against her chest as she whimpered.
Chancing a glance over her shoulder, Willow saw that the bear’s eyes were fixed upon the cage. When Belle let out another whimper, its ears perked up at the sound.
“D'aww look, I think he wants to be friends” teased Crusher, receiving more laughs in response.
A shiver ran down her spine as the bear released a low, long drawn-out growl. Oh gods.
“You wanna go in and say hello?”
Belle shrieked, frantically shaking her head as if it would do anything.
“Is that a yes?”
“No!” she screamed.
“Well, if you say so.”
They began to be lowered, the cage nearly being touched down to the ground before the floor suddenly began to tilt. Willow hurriedly pulled her and her sister up the growing incline and wrapped her legs around the cage bars. Her sister screamed, clawing her way up her body and desperately trying to also grab onto something as their world continued to turn.
Her arms began to burn as they became vertical, but she didn’t dare let them loosen their grip around Belle, not even for a moment. A large clawed hand came around and pried open the cage door.
“Come on now, “ Crusher gave the cage a good shake. Willow winced, straining to keep the two of them up, “Don’t want to keep ‘em waiting do ya?” His eyes zeroed in on what was keeping them from falling. Those clawed fingers crept towards her, nails slipping beneath her legs. A mere flick of the finger, and they were falling, falling into a death trap.
She spun around in the air, putting herself between Belle and the approaching stone floor. An airless gasp escaped her as she collided with the ground. She coughed and wheezed, wincing at the throbbing pain now blooming across her whole back.
Belle began to shake her and tug at her shirt collar. Willow pushed her away, forcing herself up. She froze as another low growl filled her ears. Grabbing hold of her sister, she looked up and wanted to scream. The bear’s eyes were fixed upon them. Even from afar, it towered over them, a huge mass of fur that could swallow them whole.
Whipping her head around, her eyes landed upon the cell’s bars. The space between them was big enough for them to slip through. She ran for it, dragging her sister behind her. Almost as soon as she had started towards it, the goblins took notice. All of them crouched down in front of the cell to block her path, laughing at her pitiful attempt at escape.
She spun around, heading in the opposite direction. Heart pounding in her ears, she began scouring the stone walls for cracks, holes, anything. The ground beneath them quivered and Willow looked over to see the bear taking a step towards them, head lowered and shoulders up.
It stalked towards them, throwing her off balance with every step. She frantically continued to search the walls, running along the perimeter of the cell. When she reached a corner, she stopped, out of breath. She turned and froze. The bear was close now, its shadow beginning to cover the two of them. They couldn’t run now, they were cornered.
Belle began to whimper. Willow stepped in front of her and began to back away. She only made it a few steps before they were pressed against the wall. Looking up in horror, she watched as the bear's head began to encapsulate her entire vision. The air around them stunk of its rancid breath. Its eyes were piercing, the gaze as sharp as its protruding fangs. This was it, they were dead.
Willow’s arms came up to shield her and her sobbing sister. She braced herself as the beast closed in, opening its gaping maw. It descended upon them and she snapped her eyes shut, praying it would be a quick death for the both of them.
Nothing. Nothing happened. She didn’t feel anything. Not the feeling of teeth tearing them to shreds like she had expected. Not the feeling of being doused in drool, not anything. However, she did hear something, the snapping of the bear’s jaws.
Willow cracked open her eyes, freezing. The bear was mere inches away, its warm breath blowing back her silvery hair. It was still staring at them. It remained motionless.
Suddenly, its massive form began to shift as it turned away from them. It began to make a noise that sounded like chewing. Willow hurriedly checked behind her, worried that it had somehow gotten a hold of Belle before her. But no, her sister was still huddled up behind her, looking up in terrified confusion.
The bear continued to chew, at least that’s what it sounded like. She wracked her brain for an explanation of what else it could be but came up short.
“Aw man, where’s all the blood?” rang out the familiar voice of one of the goblin children.
Another voice sighed, “I guess if we wanted a real show, we should have thrown in something bigger, or maybe something that would have at least put up more of a fight. Ah well.”
Willow’s eyes widened. Did they think that they had been- she looked up, seeing that the bear’s form was completely blocking them from the view of the goblins.
“I guess we should get you lot back to work.”
The young goblins all began to protest, “Aw come on! Can’t we throw more rocks at it or-”
“Do you want to keep our True Soul waiting?” growled Crusher.
True soul?
“N-no. N-not at-”
“Then get to it!” he barked, and Willow felt and heard the multiple pairs of feet hurry away, “Oh, and Butch wanted to see you, something ‘bout his worg. Won’t stop whining over it.”
“Ugh, fine. Take me to him, will yah?”
Another rumble of footsteps and the goblin’s grumbling murmurs slowly grew distant. With the slam of a door, the room fell silent.
Hope you enjoy! and let me know if you want to hear more!

Sneak Peek at Match Beyond Measure Future
Been feeling really down lately and unmotivated so new parts have been taking longer, but I still wanted to give you all something new so here is the first draft of a future scene that I will probably add more to. Not sure if this classifies as smut or anything but small content warning anyway for intimacy I guess.
“You know, I’ve been kind of taking the lead every time. I think it’s about time you get your turn.” her small smirk slid off her face when she was met with silence.
The bedsprings creaked and the mattress wobbled beneath her as Garret rose slightly. He stared down at her, mouth hanging open as he fumbled for words, “Are….. are you sure?” she nodded. A ghost of a smile was playing across his lips, “You’re absolutely sure?”
“Yes, unless you don’t-”
“No! No. God no,” his cheeks flushed as his eyes shifted away from her, “I just……. I don’t want to overwhelm you.”
Cecilia also averted her gaze, her heart swelling, “I don’t want you to have to worry about that,” she smiled up at him, “And it won’t be much different from last time, you’ll just……. Be the one calling the shots I guess.”
Garret looked back down at her, his shock ever so slowly giving way to giddiness, “And you’re okay with that?” she nodded. The small smile on his face grew, yet his eyes still darted around nervously, “You’ll tell me right? If I’m being too much?” she nodded, “At any time, you want me to back off, you’ll let me know?”
“Yes.”
He thought for a moment, before he nodded, seemingly more to himself, “Okay, alright.” The mattress shifted once more as he fully sat up, the bedsheets sliding off revealing his bare chest, “Are you uh….. Ready?” Cecilia took a deep breath, laid down, propped herself up with her elbows, and nodded.
Once she had given him the okay, Garret began to move. The mattress dipped as his massive body rolled off of his side towards her. She jumped when one of his hands came crashing down on her right and looked up to see the view of the ceiling slowly being replaced by a view of his chest as he maneuvered himself over top of her. His other hand came down on her left. Now both of his thick arms surrounded her like great pillars of muscle, fat, and bone.
Garret scooted back so that she wasn’t just staring up at his pectorals but at his face. His dark hair dangled down over his forehead and his face showed signs of nervousness but also excitement.
A troubling thought crept into Cecilia’s mind. The horrific image of him losing his balance and his entire body collapsing down onto the mattress, crushing her. She gulped, staring back up into the pair of blue eyes that were fixed upon her. That won’t happen, he wouldn’t let that happen. He gave her another questioning look. She nodded, giving him the okay.
His arms flexed as he lowered himself down. His face grew bigger and bigger as it got closer and closer. Cecilia’s elbows gave out under her. Her heart was hammering against her ribcage so viciously that she was surprised it wasn’t bursting out of it. She just kept her eyes on Garret, his face now stopping a mere foot above her. He looked her over, the smile on his face faltering slightly at her nervousness. Cecilia tilted her head, smiling up at him before reaching up and placing her hand on the tip of his nose. He went cross-eyed as she gave it a couple pats before he smirked deviously.
Cecilia had barely any time to react before his lips descended upon her. They slammed into her, knocking the air right out of her lungs. the plush and moist surface of his lips pressed into her, pushing her deeper into the mattress. Her hands shot out and grabbed onto either side of his face.
Garret breathed, his breath washing over her and ruffling her hair and pajamas. She had half a second to catch her own breath, her heart fluttering and pounding within her chest before he descended back upon her. Cecilia pursed her own lips in an attempt to kiss him back but it was nothing compared to his own all-encompassing ones. He did seem to take notice, letting out a soft moan that reminded her of distant thunder.
Over and over, he smothered her with kiss after kiss. Cecilia had begun to smile, even giggle as his lips squeezed her.
Garret suddenly let up, pulling away from her. She gasped for air, adrenaline pumping through her veins. He was also breathing heavily, looking her over once more. His eyes were bright with joy, yet clouded with a touch of worry. He waited for her to catch her breath, seemingly waiting for her to say something. When all she did was smile up at him, he rumbled with giddy laughter. Cecilia nervously chuckled as his face fell into a content smirk.
One of his hands began to move towards her. She shivered as it slid underneath her, scooping her up. His other hand came up and cupped the other one as he lowered his face closer to her. He cradled her, warmly smiling down at her before he closed his eyes and puckered his lips.
Warmth enveloped her as she was pressed into his palm. Her arms simply fell to her side as she surrendered herself. He kissed her from head to toe, over and over, letting out moans and hums of pleasure that Cecilia reciprocated. She could barely see anything, only getting quick images of Garret’s face before her head was covered up again by his lips.
The longer he went, the stronger the pressure was against her as he passionately kissed her more and more furiously. She found herself gasping for air more desperately and those windows of time becoming shorter and shorter for her to do so. He nuzzled his nose into her, running it along the curvature of her waist and leaning into her.
Cecilia’s heart began to murmur, beginning to panic as she was pushed and shoved harder back simply by the force behind his lips against her body. She could barely breathe, barely able to get any air in before it was knocked out of her. Raising her arm, she began to feverishly hit the side of his face and kick her legs, trying to get his attention. He must have mistaken her pleas for something else because the pressure against her increased and he moaned happily.
She hit the side of his face faster and harder, starting to freak out. What if she suffocated? What if something in her broke? She whimpered in fear at these thoughts, something she hadn’t done in a long time, and that finally got Garret’s attention.
In an instant he froze, pulling away from her like he had been burned, “I’m sorry! Are you okay? Did I hurt you?”
Cecilia took a moment to catch her breath, gasping to fill her lungs with some much-needed air, “I’m… I’m fine” She looked up at him, his eyes crinkled with worry as they flicked over her body, examining her for any injuries, “Just had a little trouble breathing.”
Garret sighed with relief yet still looking a bit ashamed, “I’ll be more careful, I promise.”
She patted his hand, “You're fine. I enjoyed that.”
He let out a weak laugh, “Me too, though I think you could tell.” His thumb came up and gently brushed her hair back, “again, sorry if I was being too much”
Cecilia’s eyes softened. She grabbed hold of this thumb, pulling it towards her and planting a kiss on it, “Not at all.”
Garret blushed, slowly raising her up to his face and pressing her against his cheek. Cecilia nuzzled herself against this skin, the heat radiating from him feeling relaxing, “I love you.” he breathed.
She smiled, kissing his cheek, “I love you too big guy.”
