Mumscarian Week Spring 2023 (3rd-9th of April)

A week dedicated entirely to celebrating the polyship between the characters of Grian, Good TimesWithScar, and Mumbo Jumbo.

Rules:

Mumscarian must be the main ship depicted in the work, but other background ships are welcome too! All three of them do not need to appear in the work, as long as the relationship is explicitly between all of them.

No requirements for participation on multiple days! You can do one prompt or you can do all of them, however many you want.

You can do one or both prompts for a particular day.

All fanworks are welcome! Some examples are fanart, fanfic, webweaving, gifs, and needlework. Anything goes!

If you do not feel like using one of the prompts on a particular day you can use one of the replacement prompts instead. These can be used at any point during the week and will be reblogged alongside other prompts on the day they are posted.

If you are posting your works to AO3 please consider adding them to the Mumscarian Week 2023 collection.

Pspsps under the cut the short bit of writing I made for this

It's very much a rough draft and there were changes made in the comic but.

Ya know. The thoughts

"You called for me?"

"Aye. On your knees, me hand"

And Martyn dropped.

Ren took a step forward.

"I have some questions for you, Hand"

Martyn kept his eyes on his King, holding steadfast.

Ren took out his axe. He saw his reflection in its metal.

"Would you kill for me?"

"Yes, my King"

Ren took another step towards Martyn, holding the axe's blade hovering to his Hand's throat.

"Would you die for me, Hand?"

Martyn did not hesitate. He kept his eyes focused on Ren.

"Yes, my King"

Ren kneeled in front of Martyn, the axe pushing more into him.

Martyn would be lying if he said that he wasn't nervous. He'd be lying if he said he was sure that Ren's axe wouldn't be pushed further into him.

Rens voice became low & suffocating.

"Should I desire it, would ye allow your King to behead ye to display it as a trophy of the Red Army?"

Ren was an odd one, Martyn thought.

But that thought was drowned out immensely by the dozens of others spiraling around that head of his. Ones he wouldn't dare admit to a soul out loud.

The axe felt more as a hand closing around Martyn's neck.

With a shaken breath, Martyn still answered.

"Yes, My King."

Though his were obscured, Ren bore into Martyns eyes, searching for hesitation. Uncertainty. Disloyalty.

But his search was unfruitful. And Martyn was unwavering.

Though it was just a few moments, the silence felt like eternity.

Ren lowered the axe, the faintest line of red being drawn away from it.

While he set the weapon onto the stone beneath them, Ren found himself comfort being set into the crook in martyns neck. That faintest of red emitted the metalic scent of blood and Ren could feel Martyns heart pounding like mad.

Martyn could find no words in the silence. Just the hyperawareness of his Kings weight echoing his racing heart. More thoughts had flooded but they would remain as locked away as the rest.

The King breathed in heavily.

"I am beyond honored to have yer loyalty, Martyn."

The Hand breathed out a shallowed sigh.

"The honor is mine to be by your side, Ren."

I have no comprehension currently, all I know is that e Jimmy is a toy maker with ✨️ abilities✨️, found this wonky abandoned town, and started making somewhat-sentient toys to act as new occupants for a new empire he's decided to rejuvenate and fill with new "life" of sorts

I'll write something down, something will be cohesive just bare with me--
