Nebulon has grown up sheltered in his father's nuclear bunker, unable to participate in the world like most kids his age. While his father was up against some pretty dangerous criminals, it became clear to both that this overly protective way of life wasn't working for Neb - especially now that he was a teen. He and his father struck a deal, as long as Neb used his disguise, he'd be allowed to enrol in Copperdale High with his best friend Tycho this fall.

I was also heavily influenced by this photo of Susan Kare, best known as an artist and graphic designer for her interface elements and the typeface contributions she made to the first Apple Macintosh from the years of 1983 to 1986. She just looked cool as fuck, and I wanted Neb's style to match hers.
