“i can’t do one thing without screwing it up,” jungkook mutters under his breath and surprisingly enough, you manage to catch his chewed up syllables past the heavy downpour from up above, that seems to be merciless for almost an hour now. jungkook had been sweet and thoughtful to plan out something in your favor. no specific reason, just felt like it, or so he claims. but god begs to differ when the moment the both of you make it halfway down to the first destination of the evening, no, no, no this can’t happen now - jungkook snaps out of it and follows your lead to start running.

he’s unsure of where you’re headed to but it starts to be clear when you’re guiding him to a nearby stop and once a roof is over the both of your heads, that’s when jungkook slumps down on the bench with defeat weighing on his shoulders.

and that brings you to now, precisely after what jungkook had said to the rain. it made your heart swell (and ache) but for reasons jungkook doesn’t know of so you let him know. stepping in front of him, you’re crouching and entering his line of vision, immediately grabbing his attention when - “you’re going to get wet,” he huffs, legs coming apart and he tugs you forward to refrain from the raindrops falling on your back. 

chuckling, you settle your hands on his thighs for support and even with his head hung low, you can see his eyes because you’re on a lower level. sighing, you use a hand to cup his cheek, tilting his chin up to align your eyes together and somehow that gets jungkook to listen.

“i’m happy, jungkook,” stroking the under of his eye, feeling his hand overlapping yours, you say it again, “i’m happy, jungkook-ah,”

he seems confused, trembling fingertips grasping onto your hand, “b-but it’s all ruined. i didn’t even get to show you half of what i had in mind and… i just…”

“it’s the thought that counts,” your hand moves over to his lips when he slowly drags it there so he can press his frown back, “and seeing how sad you are over this lets me know how much you’ve thought this out,”

jungkook blinks away the tears welling up in his eyes, pulling your hand away so he can hold it on his lap, that subconscious pout that forms on his lips whenever he gets too sad and - “i wanted it to be special… for you,”

“it still can be,” you suggest, getting up to your feet and you give his hand a little shake, “you said you wanted to run in the rain before, right?”

jungkook stares at you in bewilderment, but you can tell his heart is racing as he stammers, attempting to stand up for a second time after the first he’s too caught up in the excitement to push himself up.

“w-we might fall sick,”

“eh, i’ll give it a cold and a fever tops,”

“you’re… sure about this?”

“don’t make me change my mind, jeon,”

a grin stretches out on jungkook’s face before he tightens his hand in yours. this time, he’s leading the way. “let’s go.”

“you sure you don’t wanna go in yet?” hoseok treats it more as an open question rather than one that expects for an answer. he specifies it as such because he doesn’t hear anything of the language he speaks of being familiar to his ears when there’s just… sounds greeting his eardrums. the buzzing from the nightlife, bass to bass from clubs to units next door (especially those brats below who turn the fuck up way too hard), down to the sound of your breathing welcoming his ear as you maintain a slow pace; easy for the feet, light on the heart for him to follow.

it wasn’t so much of a dance in the first place but when he had seen you out here on your own, he had decided to make it a bit fun than the usual stargazing or admiring the city scenery that changed within the flip of the night. with some music from the best capability of a phone and the greatest of embrace welcoming him as you rest your cheek on his shoulder, loose arms round his hips, he smiles.

he only gets his answer when he hums and lightly nudges you with his chest against your ear, to which you squeeze him tight for a brief second before you continue to sway him back and forth, all in which he follows along.

“just wanna stay here,” he hears you murmur, your fingers locked behind his back, right above where the wound is new and he knows you know when subconsciously, you rub it from time to time with gentle movements and that alone makes his smile grow wider but then you add on in a voice that makes his heart swell to the point he lacks capacity in his chest.

“wanna hold you…”

with that, hoseok gets his answer. to stay out here for a while longer, a moment to bask in one another’s presence, hoseok will do just that. moreover, your arms wrapped around him like this, hoseok just wanna stay here and wanna hold you too.

I imagine Hoseok is the kind of boyfriend who holds at least one of your hands when you nap together

I imagine Namjoon is the kind of boyfriend who doesn’t mind if you use his legs to warm yours

Well, I’ve done one “the type of boyfriend” imagine for each member so far. Of course I’ll continue, but Im not that creative enough to come up with one or twice a day.
