July Campaign: #PurpleWater

Last month, One In An ARMY encouraged ARMYs all over the world to support organizations working towards the restoration of soil and food systems, food sovereignty, and permaculture, all of which helps in keeping our planet Earth green. This ARMYversary, let’s also keep our planet blue by supporting Pure Water for the World in empowering people with access to safe water and sanitation.

Lack of clean water, lack of sanitation, and unfamiliarity with good hygiene practices kill more people every year than all acts of war and violence, auto accidents, and HIV/AIDS combined. This goes to show that water is very essential for life. So for the campaign this July, let’s continue showing the purple love for the environment and for humankind! 

About the Pure Water for the World

Pure Water for the World is an international non-profit organization in Haiti and Honduras that aims to establish comprehensive safe water solutions to serve rural and underserved communities where there are high incidences of waterborne diseases. It provides WAter, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) education and capacity-building programs. Pure Water for the World’s WASH Implementation Program includes the following components:

Education & Training

Sustainability Measures

What Pure Water for the World Does

For more than 23 years, Pure Water for the World has been delivering impactful WASH programs, empowering hundreds of thousands of individuals with the necessary tools and education to experience a healthier, more prosperous future. They also work closely with community members by engaging them in the process, developing goals and implementation strategies together, and involving them every step of the way. With the help of ARMYs across the globe, safe water will be a reality for children, families, and communities currently living without access to what we consider the most basic necessity for life.

Aww thank you, sweet little star. It is not going well, actually...Or maybe it is and it is just my anxiety...or it isn’t and I’m blaming it on anxiety because I am in denial of real issues. Or it can be both...I’m going with both.

But thank you for your thoughts, and your deliberate ask to check in with me. I hope life goes well for you too.

If you are a follower of my latest story, I promise you I am going to get back on that train track. But it is likely that I won’t be touching it until mid November because that is when I complete my Masters.

So, please patiently expect a later update than how we all originally hoped for. But if I do end up writing for whatever reason before November, I hope it is a pleasant surprise for all of us.
