The reason the work you’ve done on how you feel doesn’t seem like it’s working is because you need to do it until it works. It’s never been “this strategy will pull you up” it’s always been “here’s something you can do that will END with you getting out of that hole” the climbing still hurts and the being underground still hurts but that doesn’t mean it’s not working

hey just a little reminder — sometimes when you’re in survival mode, living day by day is literally all you can do. it’s all you have space for. and then when you have the space and time and release to slowly start to come out of survival mode, you have to re-learn how to live with the future in mind. learning from your past. making your future self proud. doing things your future self will thank you for. and I don’t see a lot of people talking about how TERRIFYING that is. but it is. it’s really, really scary to plan and learn what healthy self discipline looks like and how to greet every version of yourself. and so if that’s you today — I’m very proud of you. there’s nothing shameful about relearning something. you’re doing so well! I’m so glad you got this far <3

Romanticizing life and finding happiness and aesthetic in lots of things is what makes life worth living, what helps us cope when we feel miserable a lot. You have a breakdown, then sit outside and a soft breeze hits you, the clouds look pretty, maybe everything isn't so bad. It doesn't fix things, but it makes us feel better. You stargaze a little, paint funny looking art, all of a sudden you feel different, better. Like some things are bad but some things are also good. Had a rough day, now I am making my favorite tea, listening to the animal crossing soundtrack. Life offers you comfort in many ways, interesting to think about.

Bruce has such insane “I love you and want to give you the world but I’m just going to sit here and stare at you until you think something is wrong” dad energy

Jason: oh my god…he’s totally mad about something

Bruce, thinking hard about when Jason was short: baby
