Hartnell History Week- Starting Sunday 3rd May 2015
Join us unwillingadventurer (Katie and Claire) for a week celebrating everything relating to the many wonderful history stories that make the First Doctor era so unique. We’ll be doing posts about all of the wonderful history serials and hope anyone can join in the celebration, because these stories are rather special and deserve much love.
- If you feel like joining in with the appreciation with meta, fic, gifs, art, articles, graphics, crafts, cosplay, pictures, absolutely anything, even just a few sentences of why you like the history stories, we would be so happy to share on our blog everyone’s love for the stories set in the past during this early era of Doctor Who.
- Big Finish history stories, and also novels could also be included showing that Hartnell historicals have expanded beyond the TV series, so if you love ‘Mother Russia’, ‘Farewell Great Macedon’ or ‘the Witch Hunters’ for example then why not share your love and get the Hartnell era some well deserved praise for its exploration of history.

I’ve seen many behind the scenes photos from the production of Doctor Who over the years, but this one in which William Hartnell demonstrates to a man in Wild West gear how he gets a million years to the gallon from the TARDIS is one of the stranger ones.

Is it ridiculous enough? (Barbara’s coat and Ian’s hat wasn’t made by me, that’s old doll’s clothes I found forgotten among pieces of fabric :). Ian’s sweater is that piece that was supposed to be wedding suit originally. As you can can see it really looks like a sweater :). And yup, that’s Fourth Doctor’s scarf. Literally, I borrowed it from the little crochet Four :D)
