The only reason we have other sciences at all, Everything, from chemistry and biology to psychology and economics, is because those aspects of the first two are closest to our ability to perceive the scale of the universe. Seriously, start with a human sized idea and whichever direction you go on the scale, sooner or later you end up with one or the other.

So I just watched this, and I love it, which prompted this creative brain fart. Imagine being the smith who forged the ingots. 2000+ years ago, magic, still wild and fully in the world. And as the smith works, each ingot he makes gives him a glimpse into the mind of who will use it. Houses, weapons, ammo, tools. And then you get a glimpse into the mind of this guy building a shield against things you can't even begin to comprehend. Heck, we're living now and I'm pretty sure you could fit all the people in the world who truly understand this stuff on a decent sized boat. :)

One of those days

I'm again having one of those days. Some of you will know what I mean, those days where you just want to scream at the top of your lungs. Vent all that sadness and rage, hoping someone will notice. But you don't. Because then it's public knowledge you're mad... I know for a fact that if I don't do something in the next few years to treat my depression I'll end up being a cautionary tale. Either because of suicide or becoming a spree killer. Probably the first one, I might be a gnarled ball of rage and sadness, but that rage has actual targets and I won't be killing innocents to make myself feel better. I think.

I get this, on a fundamental level, not just for fitness games.
